When Fenty Beauty launched back in 2017, Rihanna had a certified hit on her hands. Not only were there much fewer celebrity brands at the time but its inclusive lineup of foundation shades and products was an industry first. So… how much do you think she makes from her beauty baby?

Forbes officially crowned Rihanna a billionaire in 2021, with an estimated net worth of $1.7 billion. They also confirmed that the majority of this wealth is thanks to Fenty Beauty, of which she owns 50 per cent.

And now, in a study from Hey Discount in 2022, Fenty Beauty has been compared to other celebrity business ventures and their founder’s earnings, including KKW Beauty, Kylie Cosmetics, and even Beats Electronics (AKA Beats by Dr Dre).

Guess what? Rihanna wins by a landslide.

With an estimated value of $2.8 billion, Rihanna’s shares in Fenty Beauty are approximately $1.4 billion (by the way, we're talking USD). So if you’re wondering why she hasn’t released new music yet, that’s only $3 million unaccounted for… and the bad gal also has her Savage X Fenty lingerie brand bringing in the cash. Music just isn't where the money is, so it seems.

As for the other celebrity top earners, Kim Kardashian comes in second with $700 million. Her 72 per cent stake in KKW beauty is worth around $500 million, and she sold 20 per cent of her shares in 2020, making $200 million on the sale. 

Kylie Jenner comes in third with a profit of $600 million after selling 51 per cent of her company to Coty Inc in 2019, and Dr Dre rounds out the top four with $500 million, without launching a single foundation. Crazy.

Can’t even comprehend this amount of money? Neither can we. No wonder there’s a new celebrity beauty brand being launched every second.

One thing’s for sure, Rihanna’s baby and the Kardashian-Jenner kid clan are growing up ble$$ed.
