Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse

This mousse is an amazing coverage on my skin and goes a long way. It also lasts a whole day without wearing off and the matte finish leaves my skin looking perfect. I usually apply this foundation with a blender and it blends extraordinarily well with my concealer and contour. This particular foundation works perfectly on my skin as it greatly reduces any blemishes on my face and leaves my skin with an alive finish. I also find the product does not cause breakouts on my skin and there is very little smudging and no irritation involved. Even if it is raining heavily, my makeup remains intact, especially with the right setting spray.  Because my skin has an oily surface, I find this product greatly reduces the shine without making my face cakey. In my opinion, the only issue is that the foundation is actually quite thick, however, this would be quite useful to those who have acne or severe oil. Overall I love this foundation and I recommend it for those looking for effective coverage with no displeasure. 

I love rimmel products and this one is no exception. Rimmel London's 'Stay Matte Liquid Mousse' foundation is my go to, holy grail foundation. I love the wide range of shades available and vary slightly in shades between the seasons, with my median shade being 100 true ivory. I really appreciate the wide range of shades they do stock for those with a pale complection because you really can find your best match. I also love how this foundation gives me full coverage which is really long lasting and reliable. The consistancy of the product is a fairly thick mousse, yet it is easy to apply and blend, and doesn't feel heavy on the skin. Don't have any negatives to add about this foundation, it's a fantastic product for a fantastic price, definiately value for money. I do recommend and will continue to repurchase.

This is one of the first foundations I have ever used and for a long a while, as I was just beginning to learn about makeup, this suited me perfectly. After a while, I began to notice here and there things that weren’t working so well with this foundation. It does live up to its promise of being matte foundation and for the price it’s of relatively good quality, which is why it has become a popular choice amongst oily skinned people on a budget.However, I found that this foundation tends to oxidise into an orangey shade a couple of shades darker as the day progresses. As well, it has thick and dry feel which has made it slightly difficult to blend out. I often found it drying too fast for me to apply resulting in that awkward patchy and cakey look especially if you pair it with the matching “Stay Matte” primer. And because of the thick formula, it can also feel a little heavy on your face. If you’re not fussy about your foundations and are looking for something cheap, it’s the best in its price range. However, if you like a flawless look and are willing to spend some more money, there are others out that will suit you better. Also,there isn’t a large colour range, so it can hard to find the right shade,especially if you have darker skin. Love this foundation! When my skin is on the oily side or the weather is humid, this foundation is my go to for lasting, matt coverage.

This is an amazing foundation product! I have had  acne for a long time and have struggled to find a product that can cover my face leaving me confident and proud, this mousse is amazing for oily skin, stays on all day no shine and not orange at all, comes in the perfect shade for my pale face, don't even need to apply heavy concealer this product covers eveything my concelear use to. Can use this product in replace of my concelear and usual foundation.  Highly highly recommend this product simply amazing  5 stars!

I have been using this product for a few years now and so has my teenage daughter.  We absolutely love it!  It is really creamy and feels fantastic on the skin without the drying, cakey feel you can get from some foundations.  It is really easy to blend on the skin and quite soft in texture.   I am an 'older' lady and find it hides my wrinkles and does not eccentuate them like a lot of foundations can do. My teenage daughter uses it daily and even though she has quite sensitive skin she has not had any out breaks of pimples and no rashes! This product can be used as a light foundation, however, if you use just a little more it gives fantastic full coverage.  You will find that a little goes a long way with this one, so great value too. While I have what I would call an average skin tone my daughter is very pale and usually has quite a hard time finding a perfect match for her, the light shade available is great for anyone has not been able to find the great match for them.   Overall I would say give it a go,,,I really don't think you will be disappointed.  I will not be changing my foundation any time soon.

So first off the application. This is a mousse foundation, the product goes on smoothly and it is very easy to blend into the skin which is great. What I also liked about this product was that there was no scent to it so anyone who has sensitive skin to perfumes shouldn't be affected (though as always swatch first!) I would definitely swatch this before purchasing as the shades can show up as quite light on the skin. Also whilst I'm on this point the shade range is quite limited and they don't have many darker colours so some people may struggle to find the right shade for them.   This claims to be a lightweight foundation, however I actually found it to be quite heavy especially for a medium coverage product. Due to it being thicker I wouldn't recommend trying to build up the coverage as it can then become really cakey.   When the product was applied it definitely gave a mattifying look to the skin, but at the same time made my face look healthy not flat and dull like some matte products can do. It also did a great job of evening out and redness to my skin making it look poreless and perfect.   I was surprised to find just how long lasting this product was and it lasted the whole day, around 7-8hours, with no problems. I didn’t become shiny at all and there wasn't any patchiness so I could definitely see this working for oily-combo skin. However,though I am normally a normal complexion I do occasionally get some dryness especially around my nose and I found that this did cling to those patches which was noticeable close-up. This product would not be great for people with a dryer complexion or anyone who get any dryness at all as this foundation will emphasise that.    Overall I thought this was a decent product, I personally won't be repurchasing but it you have oilier skin I would check this out as it may be the one for you.
