Rimmel London Clear Complexion Powder

I already used rimmel foundation and I love it so was keen to try this powder. I am glad I bought it as I really love it and will always use it now over my foundation for a beatiful matte effect. It controls shine beautifully and sets makeup well. I love that the powder is not loose as I have had mess from loose powders before, this is great for handbags to control shine throughout the day. Its also great for a bit of extra coverage over a BB cream, a great product

This is a fine, cheap and cheerful powder. It sets everything and allows foundation finish to show through, unlike other powders that mattify finishes. I really like that this is in cake form. It makes it easier to throw into a handbag or makeup bag than a huge tub of loose powder that risks spillage. I also use the powder by itself with no base on off-duty or dashing-out-the-door days where I just need a little bit of something.  I don't know how much clarifying the powder actually does, but I have a normal-dry complexion and not so much an oily one. For the price, I certainly think this is a great powder to try for everyday use. 

I picked this up to use on days when I want a minimal makeup look (over BB cream), or to mattify when I use a high coverage foundation and don't want to use a power foundation which can turn my base into a mask. The product doesn't add any coverage, but it has a nice skin tone so it reduces shine without adding anything extra to your look. I don't find it noticeable on my skin at all, which is a plus for me. This powder is very good for a cheap product, it doesn't leave me looking powdery and it mattfies until lunch time when I usually touch up. The packaging is light and perfect for travel, although it is not a compact with a mirror. One of the things I like about it is the large round pan, it is a good size to dip a large brush into.  If you are looking for a fuss free powder to use on your T-zone, that won't clog pores and break you out, give this one a go.
