L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Very Volume Supreme Hold

Cult Classic! No wonder this is the go to for hair stylists world wide! This product was recommended to me on the sly by my stylist at a high end salon. And now I never not have one on hand and a back up. I am pretty much monogamous to Oribe in all my other hair products, except for Elnett. I have short, thick but limp hair. It is not heavy and and easily rinses out which is a huge plus for me.  Elnett gives me the volume I need. My mum always said “the higher the hair the closer to god” and I do mama proud with this one.

I set my hair in rollers twice a week (and sleep on them, dedication, right?!) so having a good hairspray is essential, otherwise the pain of the rollers isn't worth it. This hairspray has a such a vintage look to the can, and volume is the key to a retro look, so I picked this up when I was due for another can. The can is huge so the price is very good value, considering it will last for ages. It definitely does not flatten my do, and it holds flyaways and frizz very well. It is slightly sticky when first applied but it dries well and the finished result is smooth and not crunchy or tacky. It brushes out very well and I can get three good days out of my set, only after the third brush out does it start getting a little flaky and in need of a wash. There is one downside to this hairspray and that, strangely enough, is the taste. If you open your mouth while you are spraying, or while the product is lingering in the air, you will get the worst taste in your mouth that is really hard to get rid of. Since I learned my lesson and now spray with my mouth firmly closed, I haven't had an issue but it is on my mind every morning and worth mentioning. Overall I am very happy with this hairspray and would recommend it for up-dos, curls, and both hot rollers and wet-sets.

Never come across a better hairspray! Applies super light but has amazing hold without that wet and crusty look that some hairspray has. Recommended for everyone!

My go-to hairspray! I repurchase this time and time again, and am never without a bottle of it. It gives the perfect amount of hold, without leaving the hair hard or sticky, and brushes out easily. A must-have for my hair which struggles to hold a curl.
