Kiehl’s Crème de Corps

Kiehl’s are well-known for having simple, lightly scented products with nourishing ingredients and plant-derived oils that are great for sensitive skins. Crème de Corps, their signature body cream, is one of these and is something of a cult product, often a “best body cream” nominee in beauty awards. A rich, buttery formula, (in colour and texture), it manages to be thick but non-greasy, nourishing but easily absorbed. It contains an impressive line-up of plant-based oils – sesame, olive, almond, apricot kernel, avocado, soybean – as well as shea butter. It has almost no scent, maybe a very slight scent of almond, and is really lovely to apply after a shower or bath – my skin feels so soft and hydrated and it is great for after-sun pampering too. So thick and creamy I have to work to get it out of the bottle. Definitely earns 5 stars from me.

Very expensive body lotion. Smells pleasant. It is gentle. Absorbs quickly. Does leave skin feeling soft and healthy. Not greasy. Contains emulsion of oils like squalane, shea, glycerin and some base emollients like propylene glycol (not a fan of this personally) and silicones. Formula is vegan friendly (no animal based ingredients, squalane is from plants). One star down for the pricing. As it is basic formula. 46 aud for 250mL or 81 aud for 500mL. And does just the thing that most body lotions and butters do well also for far lesser pricing: moisturizes skin.

I had a deluxe 30mL sized sample of the Creme de Corps to try whilst I was away travelling. The body cream is very rich, thick and decadent, so thick it was quite difficult to get out of the small bottle. It is quite a vibrant yellow colour and does not have any discernible scent. I found it to be very moisturising for my dry skin and very quick to absorb. Overall I didn't see such dramatically different results to a much lower priced staple I use for day to day so am unlikely to purchase a full sized unless I wanted to splurge!

I’ve only recently discovered Kiehls products and this Creme is another winner. It’s a very thick very hydrating body cream that has no fragrance, perfect for my sensitive skin. It absorbs in quickly and doesn’t leave any residue on my skin. The cream is yellow which is a different change to all other body lotions. I absolutely love it.

This has to be one of the most (if not the most) expensive body creams I have used. I first know about this cream from Mecca (yes! there was a time that Mecca Cosmetica sells Kiehl's) and it was a top seller. I was so excited to try this. I really like the fact that it does not have fragrance, and the consistency is not too thick. I was expecting it to be a bit thicker (thinking that "Crème" must be translating to "Cream" but found this product more of a consistency between a lotion to a cream. I am OK with the yellowness of this product - it makes me think of Clinique Dramatically Different lotion, although I would have preferred it if it has retained its natural colour. While it is quickly absorbed into skin and leaves skin quite smooth, I am not convinced to repurchase at full price. Perhaps it is just me, but in terms of results, I am not able to tell the difference between this product and my day-to-day Nivea body lotion.

After trying a few samples that I had been given, I finally splurged on a bottle of this as a present for myself. It feels quite rich and creamy, but absorbs really well, with very little scent, so it doesn't clash with perfume. Unlike many other body creams/lotions, this does not result in allergies/eczema on my sensitive skin; a definite plus! The product is quite expensive, but a little product goes a long way, and I believe it is definitely worth investing in. Lovely and luxurious, it leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth - I love it! 5 stars :)

I received a sample sachet of this body cream and although I tried to stretch it I only got two uses from it which is a shame as I loved it.  It has a weird yellow colour and rich texture with a very faint scent.  It's very rich but feels so luxurious when applying to your skin. My arms can get really dry and itchy of not properly moisturised but I didn't have any issue while trying this product.  I would love to purchase a full size but it's a bit pricey for me at the moment.

Best body moisturiser I have used and I have tried multitudes over the years. It's rich and creamy yet is easily rubbed in and doesn't leave skin greasy at all. A fantastic product for the drying winter months. Worth the investment.

I love this body moisturiser!  Although it has a slightly higher price tag, it is definitely worth it.  It's slightly thick, but smooths on easily, absorbs into the skin quickly and without any residue.  It leaves my skin soft and smooth.  There isn't much of a scent, which is a bonus when your legs are tucked away in pants, skirts and tights over winter.  After moisturising in the morning, my legs are still nice and soft at night.  My only complaint would be that when you get towards the end of the bottle it can be a little tricky to squeeze the remaining product out.  It does come in a number of different sizes so if you're not sure you can start with a smaller bottle first off.  Highly recommended, go buy a bottle now!

The Rolls Royce of body lotions it is one of the best on the market, which I feel justifies the price tag. It goes on beautifully and is lightweight, non-greasy and extremely moisturising. I have noticed a difference after 2 weeks of using this as my skin has less texture (flakiness, dry patches) and is smoother and softer. I like the subtle, minimal scent as that means it won’t interfere with my fragrance. A must have product!

I bought this for a friend of mine and received a small free sample to try as well. WOW! This moisturiser is amazing. It left my skin soft and supple and was addictive to apply. Also it doesn't have a potent smell that some moisturisers have. Especially nice in winter months when you feel you need a thicker moisturiser for dry skin. It doesn't leave any residue and feels a lot lighter than it looks on. I couldn't recommend this product more highly. Love it.

This is the thickest and creamiest moisturiser I have ever used. It doesn't really have a scent, which is great for sensitive skin. If you have dry skin, you need this! It is hydrating and soaks into the skin quickly, without leave your skin oily or having an oily residue either. It is perfect for winter, it just pumps your body full of hydration. It isn't the fanciest or the most amazing moisturiser ever, but it is amazing for hydration!!

If you want to have silky, irresistible skin stop immediately and invest. This is the magic elixir!

Impressed with the initial use. Very creamy in consistency without leaving the skin feeling sticky or oily. My skin felt smooth, shinny and very moisturising. Love it.
