the only smokey palette one can buy at the moment. I love THIS product and this Smokey eye is definitely in! The eyeshadow colours blend well and give a wonderful sheen with the shine part oft he product, and have really good staying power. The powder is really fine and soft.  i cant recommend this product enough - beautiful!

I justified this purchase to myself as an investment as I felt I was also getting a compact mirror that I could carry around in my bag for make-up emergencies! As with all Dior items, their packaging is second-to-none in terms of a beautifully sleek and luxurious finish and feel! The eyeshadow colours and textures are the your perfect tools for creating a smoky-eye look that lasts all day and doesn't budge (they really use superb-quality ingredients). I also like that you have a cool base colour and then both matte & sparkly darker colours to choose from depending on the smoky eye effect you want to create (I usually use the matte colour for a day look and then add a bit more shine/sparkle if I'm going out in the evening or to an event). You can of course combine all three to create whatever effect you're after, the texture of the eyeshadows is like silk when you apply them to your eyelids! Although it is a more pricey item than I would usually go for, I have no regrets and would firmly recommend trying this compact if you're after a luxurious smoky eye look, it has been a great investment for me and I still carry it around with me everyday (making good on the investment promise to myself)!
