Designer Brands Moisturising Lipstick

I recently bought this lipstick for the bargain price of$9.99 and I am so pleased that I did! I haven’t had great luck with Designer Brands products in the past, but when I swatched the new shade ‘Nude Rose’, I had to give it a go! First and foremost, the formula is amazing! As the name suggests, it is a moisturising lip stick, and in my opinion, it feels like a hybrid of a lip balm and a lip stick. There is no scent (which is great because sometimes more affordable lipsticks can have a cheap, plastic scent), and it glides on the lips while depositing a good amount of colour. It is not particularly long-wearing (I re-apply every couple of hours or after eating and drinking), but it doesn’t claim to be. It is very comfortable to wear and your lips feel super smooth while wearing it. The colour ‘Nude Rose’ is my perfect, ‘your lips but better’ colour. It is a great fuss-free colour when you want something extra on your lips, but don’t want to have the hassle and maintenance of a bold or matte lip,which are often drying. The packaging is nice and looks far more expensive for what it cost, although perhaps a little bulky. It is primarily black plastic with silver trim, and the front of the case has a coloured panel that matches the shade of lipstick, which is especially convenient when trying to choose a lipstick (or in my case, rifling through the bottom of my hand bag!). Overall, I highly recommend this product! It’s my new hand bag essential, and it will be a particularly good option to wear during Winter,when lips are prone to drying and cracking and need some extra care.
