Dermalogica SkinPerfect Primer SPF 30

A very expensive primer but worth every cent. The primer glides onto my skin smoothly and it does blur out my large pores under my eye areas and hydrate the creases on my face. The primer is tinted with SPF so I love to wear it during summer. It also works beautifully as a makeup base and makes the foundation more long lasting and makes my skin looking flawless.

I'm not normally a fan of silicone primers but the Dermalogica Skin Perfect Primer changed all that for me.  This comes with quite a hefty price tag but after trying a sample of this I just had to buy the full size for myself.  This primer provides the perfect base for foundation application and leaves my skin feeling silky soft and my foundation looking natural and glowy without any shine.  Highly recommend trying this out for yourself even if like me you're not normally a fan of silicone based primers, you might be surprised.

This is one of the best primers I've ever used. It's expensive but for me its worth it. Not only can you wear it alone as it has a tint that beautifully evens out the skin tone, but when worn under foundation it creates a flawless complexion that lasts the day.  I love this primer because it not only has an SPF to prevent damage but also has ingredients to improve your skin, and it gives an instant effect with its smoothing out properties. So for me it covers all bases, prevention, improvement and instant results. It also stops shine through out the day which is a real plus as usually I find primers that have silicone in them, make me shiny a few hours after application. I would recommend this primer to anyone that has combination skin like me and finds it difficult to find a great primer with all these benefits.

I never thought I would ever be wowed by a primer but the Dermalogica skin perfect primer did just that!  I was looking for a primer that would create a matte base for my skin while also allowing my makeup to last longer on my face.  This primer takes all of that to the next level.  It contains SPF 30 which is perfect as I make sure I never leave the house without any sun protection.  However I would choose to wear this over normal sunblock any day.  Normally most SPF based products make my skin really oily and greasy leading to congestion and clogged pores but I didn't have any of those issues with this primer.  The primer itself was more of a lightweight cream texture that would transform into a powder when put on, helping to keep my oily skin shine free and matte. The primer was also tinted so before I even put my makeup on, it would help conceal and cover my blemishes and pigmentation on my face.  This was a really helpful step because when I would wear my makeup on top I did not have to add the extra step of concealing my blemishes as the primer already did that.  Some days when I am too lazy to wear makeup I just wear the primer on it's own.  The tint of colour evens out my skin tone, it provides sun protection and it balances out my oily skin so it stays looking fresh all day. It would also blur any imperfections or lines on my face while keeping my overall complexion bright and healthy.  It even makes my pores on my nose and cheeks less noticeable so when I put my foundation on top they aren't accentuated.  Putting the primer on was very easy, left my skin feeling soft and smooth and it had the delightful scent of lavender.  Lavender has been known to be great for those with oily and acne prone skin as it's calming, helps reduce redness, is anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic. Just another reason as to why it's great as a primer! There was no need to wait as the primer quickly settled onto my skin and the powdery formula already adhered to my face perfectly.  I would normally use this primer for special occasions when I wanted my makeup to last as long as possible without any fading.  I would come home by the end of the night and my makeup would still look amazing! Even with the combination of dancing, sweating and hot weather. Overall the primer made a huge improvement in my skin and my makeup.  It is a high end primer which means it is expensive so I do not use it as often as I like but when I do it definitely makes a huge a difference!   Tip:  I use it as an eyelid primer before putting on eyeshadow and liquid liner.  It gets rid of any excess oil while allowing the eyeshadow to really adhere to the primer.  It prevents any creasing, fading or smudging! 

I think this was the first primer I ever tried and probably the best. Unusually for Dermalogica, it smells divinely of lavender and glides on so smoothly that it makes your skin feel like new. It has a flattering tint which is often enough, when used on top of well moisturised skin, to even out skin tone beautifully and obviate the need for foundation altogether. I honestly think this is one of the best Dermalogica products - but, though like most primers you need to use it sparingly, I go through it so quickly, I wish it came in a 200ml tube!

This product is amazing.  It's like a real life gaussian blur for your skin.  Even by itself you skin just glows and looks better, so when I have a no makeup day I still feel confident to step out of the house.  Under makeup it helps foundation glide on and gives skin a healthy glow.  My only sadness is that it is an exxy bit of kit, but I couldn't help myself but buy another tube when I had squeezed every last morsel out, worth the splurge.

dermalogica AGE Smart SkinPerfect Primer SPF30 is one of the most flawless makeup primers I have used. Its lightweight, smooth silicone texture blends over skin's surface with ease, reducing the appearance of open pores and evens out skin's appearance on fair skin... and that's before applying makeup over this perfectly primed base! It absorbs excess oil from the skin, making it ideal for all skins without discriminating against oily or acneic skin types. I guess you could call it a genius skin primer because there is almost nothing it cannot do and after six weeks of daily use, I still have formula left in the tube, my skin does not feel as oily as it would do in the warmer seasons and I can leave home knowing I have SPF protection for my skin. I estimate this primer works for 10-12 hours to keep skin matte and smooth. Obviously dermalogica AGE Smart SkinPerfect Primer SPF30 will wear off on the areas you touch most (the chin is where mine wears off), but the rest of my makeup remains flawless for the whole day, only needing touch ups on really, really hot days. Ah yes, dermalogica have nailed it once again and I will be purchasing this makeup primer again and again. In fact I already have!

I have tried quite a few primers and this is the only one I use now since discovering it. This primer smooths out fine lines and pores quite nicely and has a very mild and pleasant fragrance (reminds me a little bit of lavender).  There are two things in particular that stand our to me with this product being: *It is tinted and definitely gives an illuminating/radiant effect to the skin. You could definitely wear this just on its own on a day that you don't want to wear foundation. *It has SPF which is so important! Perfect for those conscious of protecting their skin from the Sun!  This is a product that I would definitely recommend to others. Only con would be that if you have dry skin it will make any flakiness stand out a little, so make sure your skin is hydrated and moisturised before application.

From the first time I used this product (when it was first released) I was thrilled. Its gorgeous, silky texture was so easy to apply and it blended instantly. I was initially a little wary of the colour (it looked quite dark) as I have very fair skin, but on application it was perfect. It provides an instant, subtle, glow, so is great to use either on its own or as a base for foundation. In the past I generally used a foundation as I don't have great skin, but for some time now I've been feeling confident enough to just go with primer, as it disguises my imperfections and I do prefer a really natural look. It's also a huge bonus that it's SPF 30, so no need to apply sunscreen!  I've got a few "must have" products, but I can honestly say that this is one I just can't live without!

This primer feels light on the skin, and fills my pores so I have a smooth base for my foundation!
