Australis Gelifeye Gel Eyeliner

I had never used a gel eyeliner before, never even heard of them so I was curious to try this when browsing in a discount chemist at the cosmetics. it comes at a great price so I figured I couldn't go wrong. I love to mix in some budget friendly buys with higher end products and I found this gel eyeliner great. More hydrating than a pencil, it comes with the added advantage of a wind up mechanism which I love. the gel itself is creamy and glides on with ease, no drag, its easy to smudge for a smokey, natural effect, I chose black and the pigment is really lovely with a semi matt finish. It lasts well and looks like a liquid eyeliner without the mess and margin for error. I highly recommend this

Before I bought these I googled a lot of reviews, and every review said the same thing - that these beautiful eyeliners are like the Urban Decay 24/7 liners, but at half the cost. Now, I've never tried the ones from Urban Decay, but boy are these nice! A gel formula, these liners apply so easily they glide on like butter. They will smudge a bit at first, but I'd do this fast as they then set and last well to the end of the day. The pencil is easy to work, although sometimes the windup mechanism takes a few twists to get going. My only complaint is that sometimes I wish I could get a finer tip so I could do some crazy colourful cat flick. If you want some fun coloured eyeliner at an affordable price you need some of the Gelifeye range in your collection. I chose Blueberry Breeze (a bright navy blue), Plum Punch (a grape purple), and Sour Apple Cider (a deep forest green). Each has tiny glitter particles in it. I've found that these can add a fun pop of colour to my makeup look without looking over the top, so I can get away with wearing these day to day.
