Nothing gives your skin a healthy and sun free glow like bronzer and the YSL bronzing stones is nothing short of great. It comes in a luxurious, gold coloured square compact with the YSL emblem on the top and a mirror inside so you can use it on the go. I got the lightest bronzing shade (#1) and found that it worked well for my skin tone. I didn’t want anything that was too different from my skin colour and just wanted to enhance my skin tone with a bronze glow. The formula is matte which means it’s great for not only using on your face but it makes it great for contouring. It is a powder formula and the pigmentation is just right. I swipe my powder brush over the bronzer and apply it on my face like my forehead, nose and cheeks. For contouring I use my angled, tapered brush to use underneath my cheekbones, along my jawline and nose. I only use a small amount because I want it to be a natural, subtle look as if I had just come back from a holiday. The base of the colour is more brown which is why you don’t end up with that fake orange colour that some bronzers have. I have been using this for almost a year now and there is still quite a bit of the bronzer left. Even after it’s finished the compact is great because it contains a mirror so you can use it for applying lipstick, mascara and anything else when you’re travelling or on the go. The matte colour is great for those that don’t want any sparkle or shine which works well for those who have oily/combination skin. The only con is that it is quite pricey for a bronzer and there are lots of other high quality bronzers for half the price. Overall I still find it to be a great bronzer and love its versatility. It comes in three different shades and even though it’s expensive it will last you for months and months!
