Weleda Nourishing Night Cream

I have been alternating using the Weleda Skin Food Nourishing Night Cream into my skincare routine at nighttime a few times a week as I have combination skin which is dry but get hormonal break outs. This sweet lavender scent night cream is white in colour and thick with a buttery texture, although buttery it’s non greasy and it absorbs quickly into my skin. The next morning my skin feels soft and well nourished which has been especially good coming out of the cooler months and into air conditioning. I will continue using this cream a few nights a week and i recommend it.

There are a few aspects of the Weleda Nourishing Night Cream that I particularly like: the fragrance which I can’t really pinpoint but which I find quite calming; the lovely buttery texture of the cream; the way in which the cream melts into my skin; and the way my skin glows after applying the cream. This night cream has definitely kept my normally dry skin looking radiant during the winter months. I apply the cream in the evening and my skin still looks glowing when I awake the next morning, and it feels nourished and hydrated. At $33 for a 40ml jar I don’t think it’s an expensive night cream. This product is made in Switzerland.

This is a treat for those with dry skin. The texture is rich and buttery, but melts upon application and spreads and glides very nicely. It isn't heavy or greasy, but feels nourishing and comforting. It is a pleasure to use, and feels a lot more elegant than Weleda Skin Food. I would say that is suits normal to dry skin, and would be a bit too much for oily skin. My combination skin definitely prefers it in the colder months when my skin leans dry. The formula includes nourishing ingredients like sunflower oil, shea butter, glycerin, squalane and other plant extracts. It has a pleasant scent from the essential oils that is uplifting. It comes in a jar with the usual Weleda green design. Whilst it is a good moisturiser that keeps skin smooth and nourished overnight, it doesn't contain any active ingredients that targets specific skin concerns. I would recommend adding a serum for your skin goals rather than relying on this alone for your evening routine.

I find this cream to be nourishing however I do have combination-oily skin and this cream contains Shea Butter and oils so I only use a small amount at night as it can be a bit too heavy for my skin type potentially clogging my pores. It works wonders on any dry patches and I happened to have a few dry patches through the week I was trialling this cream and when I woke up in the morning they were visibly gone and the rest of my skin was plump and supple. I personally wouldn't purchase this again as it's more suited to dry/normal skin types.

I have always wanted to try this cream as I have noticed advertisements stating that one of these creams sells every 4 seconds! Wow! It comes in a glass jar with foiled protection. Immediately i noticed the lavender scent, the cream is thick and white but a little goes a long way this cream spreads and absorbs well into my skin and doesn’t leave any grease. Take a deep breath letting the lavender scent unwind your senses before letting it get to work overnight. I have woken up to lovely moisturised skin that feels great comfort every morning ready to start the day.

If you have normal to dry skin then this moisturiser would be perfect for your skin. I however, have combination skin which is also oily and found this cream to be too thick, heavy and rich for my skin plus I'm not a fan of the lavender scent of the product even though it's not a strong scent, I do prefer my skincare to have no smell. I only use a small amount but my skin still looks shiny and I wake up with my skin feeling very greasy in the morning. I hope it doesn't clog my pores. Overall this just isn't suited to my skin type but would be perfect for anyone with normal or dry skin that can handle rich night creams.

This is a great night cream. I noticed a difference in my skin after just a week, it felt much softer and smoother after using this every night before bed. The cream is silky in texture and sinks straight in without feeling oily or greasy. I had no irritation from this product and my skin felt hydrated and nourished. It’s a great anti ageing product as it helps with fine lines and rejuvenates skin. It’s great value for money and does the same job as much more expensive creams and it lasts for quite a while as I don’t need to use a lot. I love the weleda brand and this night cream was a winner for me, I would buy this cream again and would recommend it
