This RHO didn't suit my combination/oily skin
The Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil came as a sample from a goody bag. I don't buy facial oils but when I get one in a goody bag I "give it a go".
The yellow oil smelled faintly of roses (weird I know as it isn't made from roses). I used a misting spray prior to application and it did spread nicely. I only used it at night as I have combination/oily skin and did not want to make my face look oilier during the day as I don't think it absorbs really well. I know I'm in the minority and this is a popular and much loved rosehip oil but it didnt suit my skin.
If you want a good quality rosehip oil then I would recommend the one by Trilogy. It's certified organic and it's a wonderful facial oil that works for just about any skin issue you're concerned with. The dropper makes it easy to apply and I only apply two drops to my whole face after cleansing my skin. I recommend using it when your skin is slightly damp and it just soaks right in and leaves your skin with a nice, dewy glow. I like to use it at night so in the morning when I wake up my skin is soft, hydrated and plump. For dry skin it's incredibly hydrating and it doesn't irritate the skin. If you use too much of the oil it can feel heavy so I would use a minimal amount. My skin definitely feels better after I use it. Any dryness is gone and because it's an oil the hydration lasts a long time.
It’s hard to find a fabulous facial oil. This Trilogy Rosehip oil is definitely amongst the best. I have combination skin, but in the winter months it gets a little dry. I use this daily to counteract that! A lovely natural smell that absorbs quickly into the skin. It has a gorgeous rich amber colour and an easy to dispense dropper bottle. Feels amazing in your skin. Worth the price point!
Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil is my new fav oil. This is the first time I have used it and was surprised at how fast it absorbed in to my skin and made an instant improvement to my dry skin. It was nicely fragranced and can be used day or night. i also used it on my legs as I have dry skin and it fixed the issue immediately. it is an all rounder of an oil and I will definitely be buying again in the future when this bottle runs out.
Good quality pure cold pressed rosehip oil, deep orangey brownish in colour with that rich earthy , slightly rosey scent. My skin combo to oily is not really suitable for RO oil use in general, but I have it in stash for times when I need my skin to have a break from active and potent serums and masks and peels.
Spreads best on damp skin and absorbs better this way. Leaving skin looking glowy, not oily, soft and healthy looking. Beware...in summer and hot weather (over 25ish-30 degrees) this oil will go rancid quite quickly. Either use it daily to use it up quicker or keep it in the fridge. I learned my lesson and last summer it went rancid. Not always stored in the fridge.
This is not a miracle product that will do anything for fine lines, wrinkles or pigmentation. It is just nice soothing oil for days when skin needs and especially for dry skin types. Or normal skin without any issues to correct, just to keep it glowy and soft. Also good for sensitive skin types. This oil does not hydrate skin (it is oil). So if skin dehydration is your issue, do not think this oil will be enough.
I LOVE THIS OIL !!!
I have been using this oil since I gave birth to my son 9 years ago to help with stretch marks and scaring and this oil is perfect for all of that.
This product is so amazing to help with the discoloration of stretch marks and with the raised skin and also with my c-section scar aswell.
I've been using this oil for over 5 years now and it has become a staple in my everyday skincare routine. I had a lot of Milia under my eyes and didnt know how to remove them. I didn't want to scratch at it or burst them due to having sensitive skin. I have really seen results with this oil, it didn't just get rid of the white dots but smoothed out my skin.
I apply the oil before I go to sleep and let it soak into my skin while I sleep. The oil can feel a bit heavy on the skin that's why I only apply it in the night so my face doesn't look shiny and greasy during the day.
The only negative about the product is the smell. It's not the most pleasant smell but it is bearable.
All in all this is a great product which is set at a very affordable price. I recommend this product to anyone who has a milia problem or suffering for dry irritated skin.
You know, sometimes you just want a no - nonsense / basic / no bull product that just "is".....something that you can use with no worry of what you are putting on your face and how your skin will react - and this is that product.
Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil is made from pure, natural certified organic (so no nasty chemicals) rosehip oil to help nourish and repair skin day and night.
This is the flagship product of Trilogy, and pretty much everything else in the range is built around this. It's been popular for years, and is rumoured to be used by some pretty impressive skinned people (one certain royal for example,is said to have used this whilst pregnant, such is both the effectiveness and purity of this oil),so you can safely use this,as i did whilst pregnant (that is when i first started using it actually.I am dry and dehydrated of skin,so needed something that both worked AND was bubba safe)But what are some pros and cons of this ? Well, let me tell you:
PROS:
Packaging: good looking, practical dropper format...so one dropper full would do entire face / neck / dec and hands, leaving you with a supple, soft feeling that is not too greasy (it absorbs fairly quickly, but i wouldn't apply makeup over it)
Texture: A rich, silky oil with a golden hue.
Practical:Any and all family members can use this....from bub to Nanna and everyone in-between.And if you are one of those who insists they are either "allergic" or "sensitive" to everything, then this is a must have (if you get a reaction to this, honestly, forget about beauty products and get to an immunologist ASAP...there are deep issues going on)
CONS:
The smell: for those who are not used to natural skin care products,it might wrinkle your forehead a bit.It isn't pretty or pleasnt at all,and in fact it tends to remind me of fish oil,no "rose" anything scent here at all.I am not keen on the smell, but thankfully it goes away after a while, and you can be fit for public exhibition again.
The cost:At $45 for a 45ml bottle,it isn't the cheapest rosehip oil around...but it is the benchmark by which all others are held up to,so at least the quality is there. And with such a small amount needed, the bottle would easily last months (or a pregnancy with nightly use if that's how you are thinking right now).
A last major benefit is that this is one is multifunctional oil.....it can stand alone or go with other products you may use (mix with your fave moisturiser to supercharge it for use during winter),use it as nail / cuticle oil (i do,at night before bed),apply it to rough elbows and heels(after every shower, sometimes mixed with my current body cream) AND give it a go on those, ahem, stretch marks (i havn't,but it may help reduce them).
To finish,as we head into the cold of winter, try this as a dry skin fix that can have you summer ready when the time comes to slip into the cozzies and faux tan again.
TIP:I got hubby to use this as a face oil applied prior to shaving. He said the shave was smoother, quicker and less uncomfortable than a shave cream,AND left his skin dewy and soft afterwards.
This high quality, organic rose hip oil is the best I’ve tried. I have dry and sensitive skin and this product is perfect. It soaks in really well, has a very subtle scent, and leaves my skin soft with lasting moisture. A little goes a long way so it’s really great value even though the price point seems higher than other rose hip oil.
I loveTrilogy rose hip oil so much that I joined their mailing list so that I can buy in bulk whenever they have special promotions on. It is always in my nighttime routine and makes a huge difference to my skin. I generally have dry skin and this absorbs in really well. I use it on my face but also on my neck, décolletage, elbows and knees. In winter I keep an extra in my bag to prevent dry patchy skin during the day.
Trilogy makes a high quality, organic rosehip oil that is incredibly good! It is so great and you can use it for so many things but most people will use it as a moisturiser for their face as it is filled with vitamins and the oil is incredibly hydrating for your skin. Not everyone is comfortable with putting oil on my skin and I was definitely one of those people but I started off really slowly and only used a very small amount in the beginning to make sure that my skin would not react in a negative way. I use a small drop of the oil for my face but the biggest reason why I started using it was to help with my pigmentation and scars. The oil would hydrate and soften my skin and while it was not quick miracle for my pigmentation I did notice that after several weeks my pigmentation had slightly faded. I would also use it in place of an eye cream to keep that area moisturised. You could also mix a drop of it with your regular moisturiser to add an extra amount of hydration. I also used it with my face wash to help remove makeup and it worked quite well. The scent is very mild and I use it all over my body. I would recommend doing a patch test as not everyone reacts well to RHO.
Oh my gawwwssshhh could I love Trilogy even more??! YES because of this oil. I have been a devout follower of only one face oil for a really long time but got the opportunity to use this and I am more than impressed. My skin is combination oily/dry and am prone to the odd breakout. This oil has been wonderful in leaving my skin hydrated and plump. I use it twice a day (morning and night) and it hydrates and leaves my skin soft without that greasy, oily feeling. It has a lovely subtle aroma as well and the packaging is a lovely amber bottle with a dropper to prevent product wastage. I've also noticed an improvement in skin tone. It has given my other face oil a run for it's money. It really is lovely. I would highly recommend it for anyone after some skin hydration and tone improvement because it has made a difference for me.
I have used this fabulous Trilogy Rosehip Oil for several years now, and although I like to try other facial oils, this is one I have purchased over and over again. The oil comes in a glass bottle with a dropper, and there are two sizes (20mL, 45mL) however I usually get the large bottle, and it lasts me a good few months at least. This oil does have a distinctive scent, which is probably the one thing I dislike about this product, but I'm pleased that there are no artificial rose or floral fragrances added. My favourite thing about this rosehip oil is that it's light and sinks into the skin instantly, whereas some other brands I've tried just seem to sit on the skin's surface, don't get absorbed and so I end up with breakouts because the product is too rich for my skin. I think the Trilogy Rosehip Oil is different in that even people with oily skin (and I have combination skin) can still use it and it helps balance excess oil production, rather than make the skin more oily. I first discovered this product when I heard it helps reduce the look of scars and I have used it ever since. I have noticed an improvement in my skin's overtone tone, texture and smoothness, but it does take time and you need to use this product every night for several months to get best results. My tip is to use only 2-3 drops during each application, otherwise it can make your skin look excessively oily, and I find the oil absorbs best on slightly damp skin.
Overall, this is a mid-priced, high quality rosehip oil that helps nourish and soften the skin. A little goes a long way and it can be used on the face, body, hair, hands and feet etc.... so it's truly a versatile product.
Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil is a little bottle of magic. I have used this product for a while and l have been happy with the results. I use it more often in winter where l find my skin suffers more from the elements. My skin has improved in appearance, more supple, smooth and hydrated. Now that l'm a little on the mature side of age, l also use it on my neck and chest area to assist my skin to appear less wrinkly. I use it mixed together with my day and night creams and even add it to my body cream to help my skin hydrate all over my body. Its application is endless. It is priced to be affordable for all women of any age to consider adding it to their beauty routine. I have recommended it to friends and continue to sing its praises to others who are open to trying new, pure and natural products.
Trilogy Rosehip Oil is truly an amazing product that minimises old scars, nourishes the skin and adds a healthy glow. In my opinion it really is “the original and the best” Rosehip Oil I have ever used and tried! I always purchase the large (45ml) bottle as I use it on my face, body and even hair, and it leaves my skin incredibly smooth, soft and healthy all over. This is one of my favourite must-have skincare products, as I also use it to treat my dry, chapped lips and mix a few drops with my moisturiser or foundation to give me a more radiant, dewy glow.
I apply a few drops of this oil to my palms and gently warm it up before gently massaging it into my skin. I even use a small amount around my eye area and it works well to keep the dry, delicate skin around my eyes soft, smooth and plump. This Rosehip Oil is one I highly recommend and keep repurchasing as it has a light, slightly more runny texture than a few others I’ve tried so it absorbs well and doesn’t leave a heavy, greasy residue on the skin. Although it’s not super cheap, I use this oil on my stretch marks as well and they certainly look less visible than before and my skin feels silky smooth.
I would recommend this product for all skin types, even sensitive skin as there is no added fragrance colours, or preservatives, which is a major bonus too!
I have been using Trilogy Rosehip Oil for a few months now and I think it is a wonderful product. The reason I decided to use this product/brand was because it is organic and natural which is really important to me and because of the good reviews that I've read about it. My skin was feeling a bit dry so I wanted a product to help hydrate it and also to improve the overall appearance of my skin.
It comes in a glass bottle with an applicator which makes it easy to apply. After cleansing my skin, I apply a few drops onto my palm and massage the oil all over my face and neck. The rosehip oil absorbs into my skin instantly leaving it feeling soft and silky without leaving an oily/greasy residue and it didn't irritate my skin. I then apply my moisturiser over the top. I usually use it at nighttime so I can wake up the next morning with glowing skin.
After using it for a few weeks, I really noticed a big improvement in the overall appearance of my skin and how younger my skin looks. My skin is more hydrated and it feels softer and smoother. The scars/blemishes on my face have also faded and not as noticeable as before. It has made my skin look brighter and improved the skin tone of my skin. I also use this on other areas of my body that needs a bit of extra nourishment and it does a good job too.
My mum has also been using this product and she loves it. She said her wrinkles/fine lines have improved and her skin looks so much more youthful than before and will continue to use it.
Overall this is a great natural product that I would recommend to everyone and especially those with dry skin.
I have been using this facial oil on and off over the last five years. I often find myself reverting back to it when my skin is acting up and I just need something simple or during the Winter months when my skin gets super dry. I’ve tried a few different rosehip oils in the past and I really like this one because it’s lovely and orange (meaning it’s very potent and good quality in the way it has been processed). I also like that the product is in a dark, tinted bottle meaning that the product is less likely to be destroyed by the light- which can also affect the effectiveness of the oil.
I find that this oil really helps to moisturise and plump the skin, leaving it feeling soft and supple. I often apply it at night to wakeup with glowing and plump-looking skin. However, I have also found another use for this oil in my makeup routine- I find it works well when mixed in with foundation to create a more glowing base (or applied under foundation to also add the glow!). I have quite dry skin though, so I am not sure how it would work on oiler skin, but I do find that this particular rosehip oil sinks relatively quickly into the skin and does not leave to much oily residue on the skin, so it may work quite well! A tip though, I often wet my skin with a rosewater spray before I apply any oil to my skin- particularly in the morning when I don't have as much time for the product to really sink in- and I find it helps the skin to absorb the product just a little faster! The packaging on this product is great, I never find that the product spills anywhere when I travel. Overall, I think that this is a great quality rosehip oil for an affordable price! Sidenote, a little bit goes a super long way (I only use 2-3 drops for my face and neck) as the product spreads really well so it takes a while to get through a bottle as well, so great value for your dollar!
The Trilogy Rosehip Oil is definitely a quality product that contains natural ingredients which I can trust. I not only use this oil as part of my nightly skincare routine but I also use it on any dry patches on my body especially my foot, knees and elbows. The results are incredible and most importantly it doesn't feel oily on my skin at all.
This is a really good rosehip oil. I love that the ingredients are natural and the packaging is so easy to use- it has a super handy dropper which is my favourite kind of packaging for oils! It works really nicely on my skin, and i have been moisturising my face with just oils lately and my skin looks better than it ever has and my skin tone is really even. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the price! I believe you can find other organic rose-hip oils for much cheaper, just without the brand name and they work just as well.
I have used this on and off for 10 years (after Zoe Foster raves about it) . I try more expensive ones but always come back. Definitely a staple that delivers everything it says. As it is an oil use only a tiny amount and make sure you let it really sink in before you go to bed.
