Trilogy Age Proof Overnight Mask

This mask has texture of a night cream. It is light and creamy, white in colour. Scent is herbal. The cream is gentle. I have oily to combo skin and find this mask a bit rich. Not in a sense rich oily, but rich as an emulsion that coats the face and that is it.  My opinion  is super subjective. As I am not fond of moisturizers (or moisturizer masks in a cream form) and love using concentrated lightweight serums packed with actives my skin needs for sun damage correction, I find this cream mask just too basic. Even though it contains some nourishing ingredients, my skin feels and looks just the same if using it or not. Does not give hydration or correction. For my skin (mid aged and thirsty for potent stuff) this cream just does not deliver changing results.

I absolutely adore the Trilogy range and have been a regular user of their products for quite a few years now so I had high hopes for this when I purchased it in Priceline last year. The Trilogy overnight mask comes packaged in a frosted grey glass jar with a metallic silver screw top lid. I love that it comes with a tiny little plastic spatula so you don't need to put your hands in the jar if you are worried about that being unhygienic. to use,you simply apply as a last step before going to bed at night. The cream is quite rich and feels cooling when applied to the face and neck. The scent is a beautiful and calming mild lavender type aroma and I absolutely love it. The mask doesn't feel heavy or unbreathable to wear on the skin which surprised me as it is such a thick ,rich cream. When I wake after using this I cant help but touch my face straight away as I know it will feel amazingly soft and smooth. This product works wonders while you sleep and is the only sleep mask I use anymore.

I love beauty, I love skin care and I love a good local brand like Trilogy. Beautiful, natural and effective products, everything I’ve tried from them so far, my skin, and my wallet have just adored. Sleeping masks are the latest and greatest addition to my skin care routine and this is by far my favourite one I’ve tried, closely followed by the fabulous Clinique moisture surge one. I got this on sale at Priceline, very happily and ever since then, I’ve gone through two jars and plan to buy a third in the future, it’s just that good. It smells heavenly like lavender and a little bit like vanilla too and the texture is thick, creamy and luxurious, so lovely to apply just before bedtime as it’s truly relaxing. After double cleansing and applying liquid exfoliater, oil and a lighter moisturiser, I apply a thick layer of this beautiful cream and slowly, gently massage all over my face neck and décolletage, being enveloped in lavender and all things that little girls are made of. I wake up the next morning with super soft, supple, hydrated and glowing skin that is ready for any skin care makeup or whatever the day throws my way. If I’m extra dry, I’ll even use this as a day moisturiser or a quick mask. However you use it, your skin will thank you, especially if you’re on the drier side or edging closer to the big 3-0 like me. There are many skin care products on the market, more coming out each passing moment, some essential some not, but in my opinion this is an essential and beautiful product. Apply before bed, wake up to beautiful, glowing and sleep rested skin.
