I decided to buy this TRESemmé Smooth & Silky Shampoo with Silk Proteins & Argan Oil to tame my messy frizzy hair. I love that this shampoo bottle comes with a pump, it’s much easier to get the amount to product you need when it comes with a pump. For well done for that. The shampoo it self is good. I’ve been using it a few times a week with the conditioner and I have noticed that it’s managed to calm my frizzy hair a bit. Not a huge change but it had reduce the amount of frizz. I recommend this TRESemmé Smooth & Silky Shampoo with Silk Proteins & Argan Oil to anyone with frizzy hair, it’s affordable and does what it says

You get value for money with the size and the price point, and even better you can pick this range up from your local supermarket or pharmacy. I shampoo twice always as the first shampoo helps soften my strands and allows for the second wash to lather. Like the conditioner, the shampoo is enriched with silk proteins and argan oil that’s helped with nourishing my hair and overall making my hair feel and look healthy. I have noticed the range to help calm my frizzy locks. I do like the pump bottle as it makes it easier to keep across how much product you’re applying. Given the price point and accessibility, I highly recommend the range if you’re in the market to help soothe and reduce your frizzy hair, and the range smells great!!

I love that this TRESemmé shampoo comes with a pump to dispense. I've used TRESemmé before and it had a press top lid which wasn't convenient. The smell of this shampoo is sensational. It's so sweet like lollies but doesn't linger in my hair. Once my hair is dry I can't smell it. I only need to use just 1 pump for it to lather my long thick hair really well so this 940ml bottle is going to last me for quite some time. Once I rinse my hair it doesn't feel dry, knotty or stripped at all. It actually feels quite soft which is fantastic. My hair is still frizzy afterwards but I just have naturally frizzy hair anyway. This shampoo does a good job at cleansing my hair and I find it to be great value for money. I would recommend this to anyone with dry, frizzy or damaged hair as I find it softens my hair and doesn't leave it knotty and stiff.

I've been using the Tresemme Smooth and Silky Shampoo to wash my frizzy curly dry hair. It's actually a very good shampoo and does a much better job than the Tresemme Moisture Rich Shampoo. It comes in a very large 940ml black plastic bottle which pumps out a pearly white liquid. It works up a good lather. It has a sweet fragrance (which is an added ingredient) but doesn't linger on my hair. This is a very good budget shampoo. I'm pleasantly surprised. It's made in Australia and has not been tested on animals.

Thank you Beauty Heaven for the opportunity to trial this shampoo. The size is quite generous and great value for money. The claims and promises are very exciting if that’s what you are after in a product. The smell is so nice, I personally loved it even though I assume some people would prefer something without or with less of a scent. It lathers up very well and leaves the hair feeling very clean. It didn’t weigh my hair down nor did it leave it overly dry, which was something I do get worried about. I obviosuly used it along with the conditioner and was happy with the results. Not life changing but leaves the hair nice. It definetly doesn’t make your hair go from frizzy to no frizz but it’s definetly worth a try if your after something affordable for everyday use.

My first reaction was hesitant as I’ve tried 'smoothing' shampoos but they have just weighed down my hair and made it frizzy and made it feel oily. This shampoo didn't do that. It smells amazing long lasting scent, that was my first impression when I opened the lid. It lathers easily and washes out without any hassle. I wouldn't say this was amazing at making my hair any smoother or silkier than any other shampoo, and it didn't protect my hair from humidity. Overall, this is a good family shampoo if you want something that's going to wash your hair well at a budget price, but don't expect perfectly silky smooth strands.

This product smells absolutely amazing but unfortunately in terms of managing the frizz, this product does not overly work. I have always struggled to find a product that helps with my frizz, so although this did not work for me, this product may be successful for others. My frizz may also be contributed to by how I dry my hair, etc. I believe by taking all the steps correctly to dry and style your hair, this product may be amazing, but unfortunately in my case, this did not work for me. I would suggest using a little bit more product than recommended.

This shampoo has a silky texture, and a lovely fragrant like apple smell, that last well after the shampoo. It lathered well, and was very easy to apply to my hair when wet, and after rinsing, my hair had been well cleansed. My hair is colored, long, dry and curly, and after shampooing, it was somewhat dull and flat. The price is great, making it very affordable for the budget minded. I would have also preferred a dispenser, instead of a screw on lid. This is a good basic shampoo, that does get your hair clean, but for now I will stick with my regular hair shampoo.

So I was a bit skeptical on trying this out as I don’t usually use supermarket brand shampoos and the size of the bottle scared me. But I did liked that the bottle was made from the recyclable material. Also it has silk proteins in it without any nasties that made me want to use it. At the back of the bottle it says that is safe for the colour treated hair which is a great plus. When I used it first I noticed that the consistency was great and it lathered well but I used a bit too much and afterwards my hair felt very dry and stripped. But I decided to give it another go, this time I used half the amount of what I would normally use and the result was amazing! My hair felt softer, silkier, less frizzy and still had the natural bounce. My scalp also felt cleaner and my hair didn’t got greasy after 2 days which is great. I really liked this shampoo.

I was pleasantly surprised by TRESemmé Smooth & Silky Shampoo. Since it's so inexpensive, I wasn't expecting to like it all that much, but it really seems to pack a punch. The shampoo smells quite lovely and it foams up really well (although it does contain sodium laureth sulfate, a chemical foaming agent I generally try to stay away from). I always double-wash with shampoo and that worked really well – it didn't feel like it was stripping my hair. After using both the shampoo and the matching conditioner my hair felt super soft and silky, and it was far less frizzy and coarse than normal. I would definitely use this shampoo again as a cheaper, more accessible option. I love that TRESemmé are using recycled plastic in their bottles, and I really love the larger, 900ml sizes which saves plastic and will last for ages. Highly recommend for an affordable shampoo that does what it promises and performs well.

I used this product paired with its conditioner. My hair is quite long and in need of a cut. I have an oily scalp and so I usually shampoo twice and condition once. The shampoo is easy to spread and lathers up well so I found it very good for me with my long hair who needs to use quite a bit of shampoo. The shampoo has a lovely clean smell to it and even now a few days after washing my hair, it still smells lovely and feels nice and soft. I had hoped that it would be more smoothing as my flyaways have not improved. I would be keen to use this product after a haircut to see if that made a difference. I like the packaging and accessibility of this product however would prefer to see more sustainable packaging rather than plastic. I would keep using this product and would also recommend to others.

I have really thick curly hair and although this product smelt great it didn’t really cut it as far as moisture and providing condition. My hair is feral, first to admit that!! My daughter also used this product and it was great for her non coloured hair long hair. Would recommend for price but not if your hair is in poor condition. Bottle is a great size and good for sitting in the bottom of the shower. Smell is Devine and you don’t need a whole lot to go a long way so value for money. Works better in conjunction with the conditioner. Would be great with a pump on top to make it easier to get out instead of handling a big bottle.. worked pretty well with straightening afterwards.

It smells great but it is nothing special. It does the job and somewhat tames the hair and makes it smooth. It is kinda just the same as mainstream shampoos in the market. It was great to try but probably will not buy with my own money. Packaging is also not so convenient because it has no pump , you have to tip over the big bottle. There are better ones with the same price point. Prefer those with pump on the bottle since it makes it so much easier and faster to get the right amount of product.

So I'm usually pretty fussy with what goes on my hair and reality is that this shampoo just doesn't quite live up to my standards but in saying that, it's actually not too bad for a shampoo that you can easily buy at the supermarket and it won't break the bank. I do have dry hair and a normal scalp. I found that it lathers very easily and smells nice (I did get some compliments on how my hair smelt). It gave a good, semi-nourishing clean (so my hair never felt stripped). I followed this with it's matching conditioner. It didn't help my frizziness though in the end after drying. So this was disappointing as I would have through because of the silk proteins and argan oil, it would have smoothed it down.

First impressions of the TRESemmé Smooth & Silky Shampoo with Silk Proteins & Argan Oil is that it is a thinner consistency than I would normally buy. This gave way to ease of dispensing without wasting product. The shampoo was easy to apply and use. The container dispensed well especially considering slippery shower conditions, but the option of a pump would work nicely for the larger bottle. Nice and creamy application with a foamy lather being achieved. The shampoo has a pleasant “green apple” scent which is fresh and modern (no-one wants to smell like Nanna’s favourite floral toilet spray perfume!). The clean fragrance was not overpowering, and did not linger in my hair after drying. This is what I prefer as I don’t want my hair competing with my expensive perfume signature scent. My hair is fine and thin, short to bob length, not coloured, and my scalp and ends tend to be dry. I workout daily and I need a shampoo that keeps me clean enough so I don’t need to shampoo more that 2-4 times per week. The level of cleansing was good without stripping or over-cleansing which sometimes happens with harsher foaming concentrates. The lather rinsed well in warm or cold water. I was left with clean, but not squeaky clean hair. This product serves me well to achieve clean, balanced hair with a nice bounce. My hair was silky but not overly limp and soft which is the enemy of volume for fine hair. My scalp was not irritated and felt clean over the next few days until wash day rolled around. Dried my hair as usual and no fluffy fly aways. Just clean, smooth, manageable hair. This represents excellent value for money and with the TRESemmé brand name you are definitely getting a high quality product to rival the “designer” brands that charge exorbitant prices. TRESemmé Smooth & Silky Shampoo and Conditioner with Silk Proteins & Argan Oil is equal to any luxury brand purchases I have indulged in in the past. Plus, the value for money packaging means you are consuming less plastic which must be beneficial to the environment. Having used several times since, my initial impression review stands.

I found this shampoo to be a really good option on the cheaper side of the spectrum. If you’re looking for an affordable option, this may be the one for you. I have very thick hair and I usually go through quite a lot of shampoo when washing as I do the double shampoo, one conditioner. On application, I found this shampoo to spread a lot further than a lot of other products I use. Using less, and spending less on the product in general means I’ll save a lot of money on my unruly hair. I found it lathered really well, and the smell was surprisingly great! The smell lasted on my hair for days after washing. I noticed that my hair was slightly less frizzy after using this shampoo, and it didn’t leave that coarse feeling in between shampooing & conditioner like I notice with some other products. Paired with the conditioner, I’d definitely use this again.

This shampoo has a beautiful scent that reminds me of getting my hair done at the salon but it isn't overpowering in any way - I get headaches easily from strong scents but no issues here. It's thick and easy to work into the hair and get a good lather. I will say that my hair wasn't as 'silky' as I was expecting after washing with it which is a little disappointing - it wasn't super fizzy or dry, but just not super smooth (for reference I have a natural wave/curl but by no means super curly or frizzy hair). My hair has plenty of volume with this product, maybe even more than usual, which can sometimes be an issue with 'smoothing' products that weight it down. I would still definitely recommend it based off the scent and bang for buck.

I love the TRESemmé brand so I was really eager to try this. Delays in delivery (thanks to COVID) meant I had to wait a little but I tried it as soon as I got it. I have slightly dry lightened hair that gets very greasy quickly and I have a lot of post Partum regrowth at my hairline that currently stands up like I’ve been electrocuted. I always have to shampoo twice to get a good lather and get my hair truely clean, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well this shampoo lathered just with one. My post partum regrowth was sitting almost flat after only air drying, so it has really got some smoothing power !! I loved how silky and healthy my hair felt after pairing this shampoo with its matching conditioner and will be continuing to buy this myself ! I highly recommend this shampoo paired with its matching conditioner for anyone needing that smoothness or a good bit of moisture for their hair !
