The Thursday Plantation Macadamia Lip Balm comes in a 30g plastic tube. The balm has a nourishing formula without it feeling too heavy. After I applied the balm on my lips, I could feel its sugary or gritty texture, but this quickly dissipated. One thing that I really liked was that the balm has no fragrance. I mostly used the balm on my lips, but I occasionally used it on my cuticles and elbows.
Don't think of this as just a lip balm - it's a dry skin anywhere balm. I personally don't like it on my lips because I find it a little too much, but my 5yo son LOVES it on his whole mouth area in winter - he tends to not only lick all around his lips, but also scrape his teeth just around the lips where the skin gets dry and itchy. He finds that this doesn't taste unpleasant, but relieves the itching while helping his skin to heal. Applied overnight, his lips and surrounding skin are usually much better by the next day. The natural ingredients means I'm not particularly worried if he does end up eating a little if he gets to licking/scraping his lips.
I do happily use it on my hands, knees, elbows and feet though - so it's a good all rounder to carry in the handbag and whip out as needed for anyone to use.
This is the first Thursday Plantation product I have used, because I always associated this brand with tea tree oil products - great for healing, not so great for my dry skin. Now they have a macadamia range I am much more interested, especially in this lip balm, which is defintely good for my lips. It is super-hydrating and super-spreadable - it actually goes such a long way, you need to be careful to apply the tiniest amount. It has a slightly sugary texture, as though it has "bits" in it. I have found this with other natural lip balms - not sure if it is intentional, or due to the balm being less processed than a more synthetic one. This doesn't seem to make much difference to its performance as a balm. It has a very mild "nutty" scent, as you'd expect., but you can also smell the cocoa butter in it. So good to see that it is another truly natural and nourishing balm, free of parabens and pertoleum and cruelty-free as well. On top of that it is multi-tasking as well - being so thin and easy to spread it can be easily used on elbows, heels and other dry patches. Glad that I found this new skin-care range.
I was expecting to love this product ( i'm usually a huge fan of Thursday Plantation), but sadly i don't. I find that the ingredients separate and you need to shake it before use. It can also be quite oily and greasy and, as a result, a little messy to apply. For me, this product works better on dry patches on my knees and elbows. Would not recommend.
I got this product in a gift set, not knowing anything about it until I started using it and now I use it all the time. It feels so nice on your lips and keeps them hydrated for a long time. It's a really good, natural product, that is very affordable and will last you a long time, highly recommend this product!!
I have recently purchased this macadamia lip balm as it has no synthetics and sometimes I get allergic to beeswax in lip products. It is a good prduct, especially in the colder weather as my lips crack and this is something I carry around in my hand bag every day for a quick refresh.
The Thursday Plantation Macadamia lip balm is a great product to have not only for your lips but for other dry areas on your body. I have been drawn to more natural products without the harsh chemicals which is why I purchased this product in the first place. My lips are quite dry so that was the first reason why I wanted it. The second was because it was versatile and I could use it on other parts of my body. The product is super hydrating and doesn't feel oily or greasy. It provides a nice barrier on my lips while also giving it a bit of shine. I also like to use it on my cuticles which are very dry as well as my hands. A small amount is all that's really needed and the price is great!
I love natural products and loved Thursday plantations macadamia ultra hydrating lip balm, it’s all natural which is important when it’s going on lips. I loved the cream coloured tube, easy to use and throw in my handbag. It smoothes on really easily and doesn’t feel greasy or tacky which I love. The product is super hydrating and protects my lips from the environment really well, protecting from sun and wind for smooth nourished lips. I love that there are no artificial colours, parabens or silicon and I also love the great price, it’s realky economical and lasts for ages. The addition of macadamia oil gives my lips a protective barrier that lasts for ages and I can feel the hydration. Loved this product and highly recommend it
Thursday Plantation is one of my trusted natural skincare brands so I didn’t hesitate to try their Ultra-Hydrating Macadamia Lip Balm. I use lip balms every day but my preferred ones are the balms containing natural ingredients because they keep my lips naturally soft and supple.
This lip balm is packaged in a latte coloured, soft tube with a white screw-top lid. The tube contains 30g of product which is quite a generous size and a good size to pop in the handbag.
When the lip balm is applied it feels smooth and nourishing rather than greasy like some lip balms. The balm absorbs nicely and leaves my lips looking shiny and plump. What I look for in a lip balm is something that is not only going to keep my lips soft but more importantly a product that is going to keep my lips hydrated, and I think the Thursday Plantation Ultra-Hydrating Macadamia Lip Balm does this.
This product would make a great travelling companion, not only to stop lips drying out on long haul flights but also for applying to dry patches of skin on elbows, heels, knees etc., during a holiday. An easy to carry multi-tasker.
I believe the Thursday Plantation Ultra-Hydrating Macadamia Lip Balm would be suitable for anyone because of its natural ingredients and ultra-hydrating properties.
I received this in the latest Liptember box.
As a fan of natural products (this is 100% natural) and having dry winter lips and skin at the time,I was quite excited to be able to try this.
The lip balm comes packaged in a very generously sized 30g creamy colored tube.
The product itself is a slightly darker shade than the tube color and quite a thick and oily texture.
It absorbs so fast onto lips and leaves them instantly hydrated and soothed.
I love that this is a multipurpose product and can be used on any dry area on the body in need of some extra hydration.
I've used it on my hands and find it helps heal and soothe them when they are parched and uncomfortable.
A fantastic, well priced product that has a permanent place in my carry bag.
Thursday Plantation Macadamia Ultra Hydrating Lip Balm is definitely something to use to prevent dry or chapped skin. The nourishing macadamia oil is felt instantly as you smooth it over lips or other areas. It absorbs in very quickly and didnt leave a greasy residue. It provides a protective barrier all day even after eating or drinking. I rarely have to reapply It. I also find it perfect for a little cuticle re-hydration. If I'm ever short on hand lotion I apply a little dab on each dry cuticle for instant nourishment. For the price it's a very affordable "all rounder" product. I recommend this for everyone wanting a good quality product with many uses. It will definitely come in handy. The tube is a great size and this lasts a long time.
TOP TIP: allow a few minutes for product to be absorbed well before eating/drinking/applying a matte lipstick on top.

This lip balm comes in a big 30g tube so it also lends itself generously for other uses like soothing "dry and cracked skin" anywhere on the body. I like that it's multi-use and I love that it's full of excellent natural ingredients that have soothing, healing and protecting properties that are 100% naturally derived as stated on the front of the tube. Macadamia Oil is it's main ingredient. There is a subtle botanical, organic-like natural scent and flavour to this balm that easily squeezes out from the tube. It is an extremely light and natural scent so I think it would be fine for those who are sensitive too.
So far I have used this balm to soothe my nearly-cracking dry knuckles on my hands, soothe cuticles, soothe and protect the skin on the backs of my hands and of course as a lip balm but I also can see myself easily using it for rubbing into dry elbows if need be. I love that if I'm waiting somewhere I can grab this out and use it for treating an issue I may have right there and then and it only needs to be used sparingly. It feels great on the lips as it instantly soothes them and it provides a very comfortable moisture barrier to protect them. Straight away my lips feel soft, soothed and protected. When I use it for the cuticles, knuckles or back of my hands my skin is also instantly relieved. My best tip would be to use it minimally at first and then add more as you go because this is a rich and concentrated Macadamia balm.
It is Australian made and comes in an attractive glossy tube with screw-on cap. I am finding that I carry this around with me everywhere lately - it's great to use in the cold, Winter weather.
There are no parabens, mineral oils, silicons, artificial colours, fragrance, preservatives, pthalates, petrolatum or SLS/SLES - so there are absolutely no nasties in this product plus it is not tested on animals. I can highly recommend this to anyone, male or female, needing a portable hydrating multi-use balm. It would be great for travelling and I will be taking mine with me when I pack for our Winter road trip!
I already suffer from dry lips throughout the year but come wintertime my lips become SO much worse. They become so unbelievably dry that it starts to crack. bleed and peel which means I'm always putting on lip balm. I prefer my lip balms to be natural and in a tube as it's easier to use and much more hygienic than if it's in a jar. I picked up the Thursday Plantation Macadamia lip balm from the chemist which contained ingredients including macadamia oil, castor seed oil, cocoa seed butter, vitamin E and olive oil. I applied it onto my dry, burning lips and it was so unbelievably moisturising. It coated my lips nicely and it felt so soft and smooth. I found that my lips started to become less dry overtime and the peeling had stopped as well. Even though it's called a lip balm you could use it for other dry areas as well like your cuticles, hands, legs or even feet. It's very affordable, it doesn't contain any mineral oils and it will last you a long time!
