Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Clay Mask

Not only is it super easy to use, it really does what it claims to achieve. My skin felt cleaner and hydrated, which is because of one of the properties “ it draws out impurities and toxins”. My skin looks super glowy, bright, smooth and clear and I'm actually excited to use it again! It doesn't feel heavy on the face and provides a cooling affect. As the main ingredient is Manuka, which is known to have antibacterial properties it is especially useful for addressing minor skin irritations and concerns, like acne and aid in soothing dry skin which is a big concern for me. Definitely recommend this product for anyone struggling complexion issues.

This is a clay mask with charcoal powder and salicylic acid to unclog pores, and soothing ingredients such as manuka honey, oat extract and glycerin. It is marketed for detoxifying normal skin. It is easily available at Chemist Warehouse and often on sale at a very affordable price point. The texture is smooth and creamy. For reference, I have combination skin with congested pores. I am prone to experiencing stinging with wash-off masks, but was relieved that it was not the case with this mask. It tightens and changes colour as ut dries, and I can vsee the small dots above my pores which indicate that the excess oil from the pores have been absorbed. I experienced no discomfort in the 10 minutes of wait time, and was able to wash it off quite easily with the addition of water. This mask leaves my pores less congested, and my skin soft and supple. Despite being effective at drawing out excess oil, it does not leave my skin feeling parched or dry. It's just right for my skin type and I can't fault it in any way - highly recommended.

Ever since my mum bought me the gorgeous Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask it has become my absolute favourite, in fact I’ve gone through a couple of jars so far.  It’s great at helping unclog pores and helping with pimples and blackheads.  When putting the mask on it feels very refreshing and cooling. It goes on as a dark charcoal colour but when it’s dry it turns to a light grey colour. But what’s amazing is that every time I’ve had a pimple it’s dried the pimple out and you can see the colour of the charcoal around the pimple go a darker grey colour.  After washing it off you are left with gorgeously smooth, much clearer skin.  I’m very happy with it, it’s my favourite! After using it for a few weeks your skin just gets better and better! The pros are softer, clearer, supple skin. The cons are there are no cons! (At least me for there is none). I’d recommend it to anyone with congested skin, combination skin, anyone with blackheads and or pimples.  

I've lost count how many jars I have used! This face mask is one of my top skincare picks. I probably use this product 2-3 times a week. As a Makeup Artist and working full time in Pharmacy, I tend to wear a lot of makeup during the week. As a result my pores can get quite blocked and I will admit I don't always clean all my makeup off my face after a busy day at work.. Oops! So the Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask does come in handy to prevent those unwanted breakouts. I was really surprised and impressed how much this product clears the skin. With natural ingredients and antibacterial compounds this facial mask formula is a real winner, especially for blemish prone skin. Some of these natural and superhero ingredients are; Manuka Honey - High in antioxidants and has great healing properties. Charcoal - A detoxifying ingredient that is known for it's drawing out abilities. Salicylic Acid - A gentle exfoliant found in a lot of blemish and acne face products. Aloe Vera - Giving a beautiful cooling, soothing and hydrating feeling on the skin. Make sure to leave the mask on for at least 10 minutes or until the mask fully dries. I would definitely recommend trying all of the Swisse Skincare Range. It's a very affordable Natural Skincare Range and I noticed a significant improvement in my skin after use. Suitable for any skin type but blemish and acne prone skin will benefit from this facial mask the most.

This mask is fantastic for my oil-prone skin. I use it once a week and I find it leaves my skin glowing. My pores seem clean and a lot smaller which is a big plus! It feels like it clears out my congested skin! The mask itself is quite a thin liquid for a clay mask and it applies very smoothly. It's a grey colour with a light scent which is inoffensive and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.   After washing off the mask, my skin feels quite tight and dry but I slather my face with serum and the next morning my skin is vastly improved and glowing! I will continue to use this mask weekly. It's become a staple in my routine!

The Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask was fantastic. This was my first time using a Swisse beauty product so I didn't know what to expect. The face mask is clay based and you can apply it to your face with a spatula or use your fingers. It is gray in colour and smells kind of sweet.  The mask is a bit wetter than other clay masks so goes on easily and smoothly and it drys really fast. It contains charcoal, manuka honey and salicylic acid, which is great for oily or combination skin and it removes the oil from your face and your pores. After cleansing your skin you apply it to your face and leave if on for about 10 minutes to dry and harden. My skin felt a bit tight underneath the mask when the mask has dried and harden but it didn't suffer any irritation or negative effects such as redness from using this product. You can see little dots on all the areas where the mask has absorbed all the excess oil so you know the facial mask is really working hard.  You then rinse it off with warm water and it comes off easily but leaves your sink a bit messy. After using this product, my skin looks and feels amazing refreshed and clean. The mask left my skin soft and smooth and it looks brighter. My pores also look smaller and tighter. The mask contains manuka honey so it didn't leave my skin feeling overly dry, instead it felt moisturised and soft and silky. After been using this facial mask for a few weeks, I can definitely so an overall improvement  in my skin. My pores are less clogged and my skin looks so much nicer. I would recommend using this facial mask if you have oily/combination skin once a week to give your skin a deep clean and to soften and give it a nice glow.

This is a nice little mud mask, very gentle on the skin and sucks up all the oil out of your pores. Not as strong and beneficial as some others I have tried (my skin likes stronger stuff that gives a good tingle), so it might be more suited to sensitive skin types.

I purchased the Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask after using a sample size pack.  The product is packaged in an amber coloured glass jar with a black screw top lid.  The design of the jar makes it easy to scoop out the product with fingers or a spatula.  The mask is dark grey, has a pleasant sweet fragrance and comes in the form of a smooth thin paste.  When I first used the mask I was surprised at the consistency because I thought it would be much thicker but the thinner consistency makes it easy to smooth over my skin.  I find I have to work quickly when applying the mask because it starts to dry in spots so I pile on the mask and wait for it to dry.    Following the directions, I leave the mask on for at least 15 minutes until it is completely dry.  This can be easily determined because of the change in colour as it dries. I then rinse off the mask in warm water but I find it easier with the help of a face cloth, although the mask dissolves easy enough in warm water.  My face is left feeling super clean, extremely soft and smooth.  The mask doesn’t cause any irritation and my skin isn’t left feeling overly dry.  Because I usually use the mask at night I then follow up with serum, moisturiser and facial oil.  The next morning my face is plump, well hydrated and glowing.    I usually use sheet masks so using a clay mask is a new experience for me.  I have mature, combination to dry skin so I thought a clay mask might be too drying for me but this particular product works for my skin.    Who is this mask for?  I’d definitely recommend it for mature skin because I’ve been using this mask for well over a month and it softens and brightens my skin each time I use it.  Pros:  Easy to use; affordable; leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth; rinses off easily; and doesn’t dry out the skin.  Cons:  None, in my opinion

The Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask is simply fantastic! I use this product once a week as part of my evening skincare routine, and it's a great way for me to refresh my skin at the end of the week.  I have combination skin, and this mask manages both oily and dry spots really well! After using this product my skin feels soft, supple and hydrated.  Additionally, the price of this mask makes it a great budget-conscious addition to your skincare routine. I will definitely be buying this product again!

The Swisse Manuka Honey detoxifying facial mask is housed in a gorgeous amber coloured frosted glass jar with a dark screw-on lid. The jar packaging is great because the wide neck makes it easy to scoop out the thick mask with a spatula or with your (clean!) fingers, and the jar looks great on my vanity. The mask is charcoal grey in colour and smells a bit like fresh, sweet medicine but the scent is not too strong or offensive. The mask is a smooth textured charcoal and kaolin clay paste which is both purifying and detoxifying for problematic skin types. It has Manuka honey which is hydrating and anti-bacterial, and salicylic acid which is anti-acne.  The mask is formulated for combination skin types which is what I have. I apply an even, thin layer of the mask to my clean, dry skin, avoiding the eye area. As the mask dries, oily dots start appearing over my t-zone, which is the mask drawing out sebum and impurities deep in my skin. The oily dots look kind of gross but oddly satisfying at the same time. I leave the mask on for about 10 minutes until the colour of the mask changes from its original charcoal grey colour to a pale dove grey and starts to feel stiff and dry on my face. To remove, I rinse with warm water, loosening the clay in circular motions with my fingers and wiping away with a warm wet cloth until everything is removed.  Once the mask is removed, my skin feels smooth, hydrated and detoxified. The mask soaks up excess sebum, balancing out my skin, giving it a gorgeous glow. I notice the pores have shrunk which makes makeup go on smoothly. ! I use the mask 1-2 times a week and I have noticed a reduction in congestion on my nose and between my brows. I have a bit of dry and sensitive skin and want to try a mask that was not too harsh on the skin. This is by far the best clay mask I have ever used. After 10 minutes, I wash off with warm water and can feel the instant softness and brightness that this mask adds. The best part is I have used this as spot treatment over my harmonal acne and found that it helps in reducing the size and the redness. Couldn’t ask for more! This will be my go to clay mask forever:)

I recently discovered that Swisse now makes skincare products so I was excited to try them. This manuka face mask smells so lovely, it smells really sweet and inviting. The face mask is a grey colour and I spread it all over my face. I let it dry on my face for around 15 minutes, before washing it off. The face mask leaves my skin feeling really soft. I was expecting it to leave it feeling really dry and uncomfortable but this is not the case. This is a good mask to use.

I've tried many other clay masks and nothing beats this. It offer the best deep cleanse and my combination oily/ acne prone skin loves that. Great ingredient list helps my decongest my skin, blackheads and pore size reduced. Very satisfying seeing the oil drawn out when the mask dries. Love the price - this is an amazing quality mask for just half the price of other department store masks. I usually purchase and stock up when it's on special (1/2 price) at Chemist Warehouse. I use twice a week and find this the best frequency for my skin type. Definitely recommend and will be buying again!

This clay mask one to two times a week over the last month has improved my skins texture and brightness more than any other clay product I have used before. My skins texture when I wipe this mask off is baby bottom soft, exfoliated and brighter than it was ten minutes before hand.  Ten minutes is all it takes to work its magic, it dries in no time and doesn't feel painfully tight but it is hard to move your face. You can see where the mask has really gotten into your pores by the darker patches which is soooo satisfying!  Washes off easiest with warm water and a cloth in circular motions and ta-da! Bright, happy, not red, less congested skin in ten minutes.

As someone with oily and acne prone skin this face mask does wonders for keeping my whole face fresh and balanced.  The ingredients are specialised to help absorb excess oil, keep skin matte and provide moisture with natural ingredients that will pamper your skin.  Charcoal helps with purifying and detoxifying your skin, drawing out impurities and bringing them to the surface.  The kaolin clay will absorb the oil and keep your skin matte while minimising your pores.  Manuka honey is probably one of the best ingredients you can use if you suffer from breakouts.  It contains anti bacterial and anti fungal properties which can kill acne causing bacteria without any of the negative side effects.  For those with pigmentation and scars, Manuka honey is very healing and helps reduce redness and inflammation.  It's a wonderful moisturiser, it helps brighten the skin, it's filled with antioxidants and vitamins and it won't clog your pores! All of these amazing ingredients along with salicylic acid and glycerin create a winning combination.  I apply the mask all over my face but mostly concentrate on my cheeks, nose and chin.  After the first use I could already see results.  My acne had gone down in size, I didn't have as much redness on my cheeks and chin, my pores weren't as congested, my skin was clean and free of oil but never did it feel stripped.  Sometimes I would use the mask as a spot treatment for breakouts and by morning the pimple would have disappeared or drastically reduced.  By using it twice a week for over a month my skin has improved immensely.  I don't get as many breakouts and when I do this mask helps keep it under control.  For the first time in a long time, when I touched my face it felt so smooth and wasn't riddled with huge, cystic breakouts and bumps.  You also couldn't ask for a better price!  Who is it for? This is by far my favourite charcoal/clay mask! I have quite oily skin and have a lot of congestion around my nose and cheeks so I like to use a charcoal mask once a week to draw out the oils/dirt and clear up my pores. I was using Glam Glow mud which was really effective in this but it's so expensive (almost $100 for a jar) so I was sooo amazed when I found that Swisse's Manuka Honey Mask did the exact same thing but also left my skin feeling so soft and smooth! And for less than a fifth of the price!  The packaging is sturdy in a simple glass jar, however I always wash my hands before scooping it out for hygiene reasons. I only need a small amount to cover my whole face so you definitely get a number of uses out of the one jar. It has a thick texture like most charcoal and clay masks but this one is silky smooth and has a better scent in my opinion. And it isn't overbearing. I apply the mask to my congested areas first - my nose, cheeks and chin, and the spread it to the outer areas. It dries quite quickly and you'll gradually start to see the oils and dirt lift to the surface - it's gross and fascinating at the same time! After leaving it on for 10-15 minutes I rinse it off with warm water and it comes off really easily, unlike most other charcoal/clay masks which can be quite stubborn and messy! Straight away my skin feels and looks sooo plump and smooth. Immediately after I can see that my pores are less congested as well. It's the best mask to use before an event or putting on makeup because it creates the perfect base! Every time I use this mask and go out I always get compliments on my skin and asked what foundation I use.  Highly recommend for those with oily and congested skin like mine! It's also worth noting that I have breakout prone skin and this has never irritated mine or caused any blemishes Pros - effective in clearing up congested skin - Leaves skin feeling soft and smooth - Affordable - Rinses off easily  - Doesn't irritate the skin  - Get quite a few uses out of the jar  - Leaves a smooth base for makeup application Cons None it's the best :) 

A really nice clay mask, there was a lot of rave about it so I was really happy I got it as a sample in my Marie Claire The Parcel box! I used it twice and then went and purchased the full size, I can't really see any dramatic difference to the skin after a month of using it but it does makes my skin super clean and plump. I have combination acne prone skin and it didn't leave it dry or caused any acne.  Pros: + The price! such a great mask for a really affordable price  + Good for acne-prone skin, It didn't cause me to break out and any acne I already had was calmed down by the mask + A little bit goes a long way, you only need a thin layer to cover your entire face + LOVE the packaging, super compact yet super fancy for a drugstore product  + The feeling, after you apply the mask it becomes kind of stiff and dry, but in a good way that you can see its really working  Cons: - The fragrance, not a huge con I'm just not a big fan of the smell - It takes a couple of washes to take the mask off  - No drastic improvements (but it's just a face mask, I wouldn't expect to see any major improvements to the skin)  A great face mask, especially if you are looking for a good clay mask, a one that would really clean out your skin. The mask would suit all skin type, it doesn't cause any irritation or dryness. Great value for money! 

I am impressed with the quality of most Swisse products and Manuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask is no exception. The tub is sturdy and informative with the trusted swisse branding on front and a perfect travel size if need be. I use this product mainly at night after cleansing my skin or as soon as I wake up if it's been a humid night.  The kaolin clay and charcoal feel cooling on the skin while the manuka honey soothes and the salicylic acid combats any blemishes.  It is an absorbent mask and took approximately ten minutes to completely dry all over. Make sure you only apply a thin even layer over your face/neck so the mask dries evenly and is completely absorbed. After using Swisse Manuka honey detoxifying mask my skin felt completely smooth and moisturised. There was no redness or dryness at all. Every application has helped clear any of my blemishes or clogged pores whilst leaving my skin looking and feeling amazing. This mask is made from high quality natural ingredients which have helped my skin stay moisturised, smooth and under control.  Plus -natural ingredients  -cooling texture -soothing feel -only a small amount needed to cover face/neck -great size travel tub -rinses off easily -doesn't dry out skin Negatives -not necessarily a negative but for hygiene purposes perhaps a tube or spatula for the tub would be more convenient. Overall my skin responded very well to multiples uses of this mask and I recommend this product to anyone seeking a cooling/soothing absorption mask that will refresh their skin and rid it of any impurities. 

I was fortunate enough to try this in a Parcel and intrigued as to it's performance as I've not used many Swisse products in the past but I do use masks weekly.  The packaging is simple yet informative which I liked.  I have blemish prone skin at times and some masks can really irritate my skin and make it sting so I was very aware of this upon first application. The texture of the mask felt cool and silky smooth on my fingertips as I applied it to my face and decollage. It was instantly cooling and soothing, not irritating at all! After 10 minutes I gently washed the mask off with warm water and it rinsed off very easily and quickly.  My skin felt so clean and smooth, the best it has ever felt and looked after using any mask! My skin looked clean and revitalised even after one use- I was in skin heaven!  I immediately went out and purchased myself a full size tub and I've never looked back since. It is a staple in my skin care routine and I recommend it to everyone. The salicylic acid in this mask really helps calm any blemish breakouts. I absolutely love using this product weekly as it makes my skin look and feel amazing plus it's so affordable. A must have mask! PROS -affordable -cooling texture -non irritating -natural ingredients -dries and rinses off well -no scent -nourishes my skin every time I use it -contains salicylic acid to help blemish prone skin CONS None! I recommend this product for anyone wanting a mask to add to their skincare routine that helps with blemishes and making your skin look and feel so fresh and clean after each use.

A great mask to deeply cleanse and detoxify skin! This mask has a range of impressive ingredients, so it really combines all my skin mask needs into one simple product. The clay and charcoal are great for exfoliation, manuka honey to smoothen and enhance skin quality, and salicylic acid to clear blemishes and reduce breakouts.  The product comes in a protective amber glass jar, which helps to preserve the product and keep the ingredients active for longer. To use, I spread a thin layer of the product across my face without water, and leave the mask to dry for about 10 minutes until it becomes a firm layer. I then wash off with warm water, and continue the rest of my beauty routine.  It is really simple to use, and by using it twice a week, my skin has become clearer, smoother, and feels more hydrated after using the mask. It's great for my combination skin because it purifies my skin and clears my blemishes, without stripping all the natural oils in my skin.   The price is very reasonable because I only use a small amount each time, so the jar lasts me a long time. It's also made in Australia, and not tested on animals, so not only is it great for my skin, it makes me feel good to know my products are ethical and safe.  Perhaps the only thing that might put people off is the strong scent, however I personally didn't mind it. I would recommend finding a tester product in store, and seeing if you can handle the scent before committing to buying. I love this product though, and will definitely continue using twice a week!
