Rimmel London SunShimmer Instant Tan + Gradual Glow

I am really concerned about the effects sun tanning has on my health so I am always in search of the perfect fake tan. Having tried other Rimmel products in the past I choose the SunShimmer Instant Tan + Gradual Glow to give me a natural glow. It is incredibly affordable was easy to purchase from Priceline. It comes in an upside down tube with a creamy lotion formula, which is almost caramel in colour, is slightly tinted allowing for easier application. It smells of vanilla and sun screen with no pungent fake tan smell! I apply it after showering in place of my usual moisturiser – then admire the results the next morning. Magic! My top tip would be to rub this in thoroughly, in circular motions, ensuring it is fully absorbed into your skin so you get a nice even, natural looking result and super nourished skin. It stays put really well and comes off simply with soap and water, while also building a nice colour with repeated use.  Overall this tan performs well. It's great for people who are on the go as it slots really easily into your basic beauty routine.

Rimmel London SunShimmer Instant Tan + Gradual Glow didn't work for me as well as my usual brand of gradual tan.  It definitely lives up to it name of a Matte finish and it does give you an instant tan but on my skin it looked like fake tan.  I couldn't get an even coverage even after exfoliating.  Thank goodness it washed straight off rather than having to wait for it to wear off.  I tried applying it with the Free Rimmel Mitt as well as with disposable gloves and still no joy.   This product may be more suited to someone who has olive skin.  I have fair dryish skin.
