Rimmel London Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick

Powder soft and creamy to apply - this is one very gorgeous lipstick especially if you love mattes. It has a moisturising texture and so is not at all drying on the lips. I don't even feel the need to put a lip primer underneath this. It is a great price for the product - so value wise it is right up there. I wish that it had SPF in it so I suppose I've taken a star off for that - or for atleast not stating it if it does have some. It is a lightweight canister and the colour shown on the outside band of the container base is not really accurate as to the colour inside but it does give a hint that it's on the more neutral side. This neutral nude shade has a pinky base to it. Its called Perfect Nude. Not far wrong - it's pretty lovely nude shade. It lasts okay on the lips but I have other matte lippies that last a lot longer. If you are after a budget buy matte nude then this could be a fantastic buy for you.

First of all thank you to BeautyCrew and Rimmel for the opportunity to trial this product. I’m not normally a huge fan of matte lipsticks as they tend to be very drying and I don’t care much for the feel/texture of them. So I was pleasantly surprised to find the texture of these lipsticks to be smooth and creamy during application. They left my lips feeling hydrated and once applied it felt light and pleasant. The teardrop shape was a nice touch, it made application straight from the bullet easier. I loved how pigmented these lipsticks are, unfortunately though, they don’t have the greatest staying power. Overall, I was really pleased with these lipsticks and will continue to use them. I do also recommend them to anyone that is looking for a hydrating matte lipstick.

The colour was a lot lighter when applied and whilst it is smooth and creamy I didn’t love the colour. The product didn’t last particularly well compared to other long lasting products.

I don't normally wear matte lipstick as I find them dry but I was pleasantly surprised by this product. It glides on very easily and feels light. It has a nice taste and the colour range is really pretty. I'd like it to be a little longer lasting but that's my only negative. Will definitely buy again.

love the colour, it matched my skin tone so well. however the actual lipstick did not last more than a few hours before it began to cake and look patchy. the lip liner was super long lasting but did not match the lipstick colour at all

This Rimmel lipstick provides rich bold colour that lasts and stay put. The formula does make the lips a bit dry on me, but so many lip products, particularly long lasting bold colours or mattes, do. The oddly shaped bullet makes application easy and less messy. A very well done matte formula. The colour was actually very similar to the marketed colour on the packaging. I found the packaging to be solid for drugstore products.

I loved this lipstick. It applied very smoothly to my lips and was super to apply. The colour is super pigmented, velvety and hydrating for a matte lipstick. Unlike some other matte lipsticks, I didn't find it to be drying on the lips nor left my lips dry. I did notice that I had to re-apply a few times throughout the day but besides that, I really enjoyed this lipstick and will definitely wear again in future.

The curved shape of the lipstick makes the application easy as it is the shape of your lips. The colour is bold and full of moisture. The matching lip liner blended in well to ensure the lipstick didn’t bleed. It’s a good price for a matte lipstick but unfortunately not long lasting. If you don’t mind topping up your lippy throughout the day I would recommend this product due to the high moisture in the product.

The colour is a warm Burgundy red wine shade, which immediately caught my eye. I preferred applying the lipstick as a tint and blending with my fingers rather than straight from the bullet, which provided more payoff but I found it a little drying and amplified the texture of my lips a lot more. Wearing it as a tint gave a more natural and moisterising finish. I do rate the colour but I noticed it made my teeth appear a tad yellow with my yellow skin undertone. While the colour didn't exactly work for me, I would definitely sheer it out and wear as a tint for myself.

Easy-to-use brilliant smooth texture reminds me of a whipped face primer, my lips felt exeptionally soft, the smaller teardrop shape tip ensured Flawless application every time, even on the run going by feel without the mirror you can't go wrong. I was not a fan of the colour crimson desire it was just too dark for my fair skin tone. I definitely recommend this product to anyone and everyone looking for a good long lasting lipstick that actually feels soft and subtle not leaving your lips peeling dry and flaky.

I was very happy with this Lipstick, I have been wearing ‘Long lasting’ lipstick for years now and whilst they all have the staying power, they lack in hydration. This however is a beautiful creamy lipstick, I love the shape as along with the lip liner it was very easy to apply. Whilst not necessarily having the staying power of other long lasting lipsticks it certainly hydrates the lips beautifully. I would probably be more inclined to wear this during the day rather than on a night out. I would highly recommend if you want hydration as well as something that will last 2-3 hours ! I was very impressed.

I have always been find of Rimmels matte lipstick and I continue to be. This lipstick looks and feels amazing. The texture is lovely, and it's a beautiful matte look on the lips. It lasted through a meal and drinking so that's a plus too.

I found this product super soft on the lips and was a perfect shade of nude for my complexion - would be a great staple nude for a beauty lover on a budget.

Love love love this lipstick! Absolute new fave :) super smooth application and doesn't come off on your teeth (bonus). I find it stays on really nicely and they have a shade that is my perfect match for my complexion.

This is one of the best drugstore lipsticks I have used. The teardrop shape bullet makes applying extremely easy and precise. The lipstick lasted a few hours before having to reapply, however it didn’t look terrible when it was wearing off. This was a very subtle “your lips but better” colour that was very complementary to my complexion.

Using this lipstick is a pleasant experience. Firstly I did not get that dry sensation that can happen with matte lipsticks when they suck the moisture out of your lips. The packaging is nice as is the size and shape of the lipstick for application. The lipstick was not the mattest matte and I prefer that. It had a more natural finish. It looked nice and lasted well. I'd love to try this in other colours too. Would recommend.

I really wanted to like this lipstick but it wasn't great. The colour didn't apply evenly and no matter how I tried to apply (normally, with a lip brush, even using my finger) it made zero difference. I wear lipstick daily and honestly, this application issue usually only happens with extremely cheap lipstick. The colour would have been amazing if it had been able to be applied evenly. Unfortunately, I would not recommend.

I cannot believe how soft and silky this lipstick is, whilst still been fully pigmented and matte. This Rimmel lipstick feels so luxurious on the lips - even nicer than some of my high end lipsticks! I really enjoy the shape of the bullet as it allows me to get a precise application. The staying power is great! I really like the way this lipstick fades and leaves an even stain. I highly recommend this lipstick!

I'm a fan of Rimmel lipsticks so was pleased to receive the Rimmel London Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick in Crimson Desire (560) to review. Like the other Rimmel lipsticks I own, I'm pleased to say this one is just as long-lasting. It holds up through numerous drinks and even lunch, needing only a touch up to the centre of my lips. I found I could reapply where needed without having to remove all my lipstick and start from scratch. It's highly pigmented and the colour really packs a punch which I love. It wasn't drying, which was a concern of mine given it was a matte formula and I usually go for more creamy and moisturising products. Very easy to apply and I really appreciated the sculpted tip.

I am generally a fan of rimmel lip products however this one didn't wow me. The colour applied quite patchy and inconsistent requiring a couple of layers to hide the patches. It wore quite well however didn't last a significant amount of time. Dried ok bit definitely required a few touch ups through out the day. Not a favourite unfortunately since I really loved the colour.
