Redken's Acidic Color Gloss Shampoo

I’ve been using this Redken's Acidic Color Gloss Shampoo for a few weeks now and my colour has never looked better! It gently cleanses my hair without stripping the moisture of it, leaving my hair soft, shiny, and vibrant. My hair strands feel healthier, and dries super glossy after a wash. Paired with the conditioner, it makes my hair feel super soft and nourished. As someone who bleaches my hair, I crave that soft natural feeling with my hair and you definitely receive that with this shampoo!!

I’ve been using the Redken Acidic Color Gloss Shampoo and I’m really impressed! It’s gentle on my color-treated hair and leaves it feeling smooth without weighing it down. The smell and think texture of this shampoo are Devine. You only need a small about to gather such a lather up, in the past when I have used sulfate free, you dont get that lather up. When washing your hair, the same is so stromg and pleasent and it does feels great. I colour my hair once a month and do feel its helped prolong the colour, however my hair dresser didnt notice too much of a change. I love the idea of having a shampoo that levels out the PH levels and gives a shine. I will continue using it and see if over time, I can see the change. I feel my hair needs more moisture in the shampoo.

I've never tried Redken products as I tend to stick to a product if I love it and ignore competitors. Lately, my hair has been so dry and frizzy, and no matter what products I would use, I could not get it under control. I used the Redken Acidic Color Gloss Shampoo along with the complimenting products of the range and I am sold on them for the rest of my life! My hair is so soft and no longer frizzy. I heat style my hair and it has never looked better. 10/10 would definitely recommend the Redken Acidic Color Gloss Range.

This is a really nice shampoo. I like everything about it. The packaging is great i love the bottle it's a good size for my shower caddy. The design is flawless i love the black bottle with the metallic pink label. The product smells amazing and is nice and thick it flows well and is easy to control the amount you wish to dispense.It lathers well and gives plenty of foam to ensure a great wash. You can easily do 1 wash for clean hair. I prefer 2 washes. The shampoo didn't strip out my colour and along with other products gave a great finish.

This Shampoo goes along way and only a small amount is needed. It lathers up quite well and has a smooth pearly appearance. I found my hair was super clean after just one wash (I usually allways apply shampoo twice) but with this shampoo it’s definitely not needed. I found with my blonde highlights it didn’t really brighten but it just maintained a shine. Smells amazing and when paired with the colour gloss conditioner and conditioning heat protection spray your hair looks so much healthier and shinier , I had so many compliments on the appearance of my hair after the first time using it. Highly Recommend.

Not a fan of the packaging, the lid is very hard and it nicks my skin trying to open it. The shampoo comes out way too quickly so you end up with double the amount that you need. Can’t compare this product to the new and phenomenal Kérastase range, which I consider a comparable brand. This is nice but not wow. The scent is not overwhelming or lingering. Whilst I experienced more shine, it wasn’t enough to justify the price tag. It didn’t sting my eyes or irritate my scalp or make it flaky.

This left my hair knotted and frizzy. I used this with and without the conditioner from the same range and didn't love the results both times. I also found it hard to get a good lather and had to use quite a bit of the product to get it through my thick hair. Given the price point I wouldn't use this on the regular for thick curly/wavy hair as I would be spending way too much money each year on my hair products. The smell wasn't unpleasant but probably a bit too fragranced for my liking. It's a shame as I loved the conditioner from this range and could have justified the price if they had both performed well together.

I find the bottle really small in size so for someone who’s hair is past their shoulders, I don’t think this bottle of shampoo is going to last very long. I also find it a bit harder to squeeze out the shampoo out from the bottle so I keep the bottle of shampoo upside down to make it easier for myself and to save time and not waste water. I feel like in terms of the results from the shampoo, it does not feel any different compared with other shampoos which I’ve used. I don’t think my hair is any shinier, and it still makes my hair frizzy which is still annoying. It does do the job of cleaning my hair so it is clean from the build up of sweat, oil and dirt.

I trialled this as part of the review crew and got to trial the whole Acidic Colour Gloss system. A really nice shampoo especially when used as part of the entire acidic colour gloss system. I have quite dry and brittle bleach damage hair. This shampoo left my hair looking super glossy and feeling lovely and soft. Gave my hair an overall beautifully smooth appearance. Doesn't have a too over powering fragrance either which is nice to have. I definitely recommend using the entire ACG system to achieve the best looking results as well.

The Redken Acidic Color Gloss Shampoo is a major winner! My hair was feeling damaged, dull and dry before using this product along with the rest of the Acidic Color Gloss range, and now it feels stronger and shinier. I have been using this product for 3 weeks now and have noticed an improvement overall in my hair's feel and strength. A big plus is the lovely subtle scent which I notice all day long! I would recommend for anyone whose hair needs a little tender loving care! I will definitely keep using this product.

Love how it comes with a set with shampoo, conditioner and leave in treatment for the best result. The scent for the shampoo is very pleasant, very mild and not artificial. Conditioner isn't too bad neither. Texture is little thick compared to my everyday shampoo. It will be nicer to have a bit more foam to give that fresh feel. They definitely keeps my hair nice and shiny. This is definitely the highlight of it. I always love a good leave in treatment as I am just too lazy to wait around after applying treatment before I can wash it off. Love how it doesn't just give benefit for coloured hair but also protection for heat which is great for those who uses dryer or curler a lot. Bonus that it helps detangling too. Sulfate-free is the first thing I look for on hair products, from everyday use to special purpose use. Just not worth the damage from having unnecessary chemical. Afterwards this trio set is not cheap (roughly $140). I would buy them though for the good results but won't be using it in a daily basis. Probably twice a week or so. It does leave quite a heavy feel the next day so I will avoid this in humid hot days.

As with all Redken products, this is a fabulous shampoo. While I really liked the Acidic Colour Gloss Shampoo, I would rate it four rather than five stars because I didn’t honestly see a difference in terms of increased colour maintenance or more glossy hair results. That said, it is still an excellent product and I loved that it doesn’t make your hair feel dry or dehydrated on rinsing and before using conditioner. It smells beautiful and leaves your hair feeling really fresh and light. I followed up with the Acidic Colour Gloss Conditioner and was very happy with both.

I have been using Redken Acidic Color Gloss shampoo for about 4 weeks now. My hair has been frequently colored and as a result has become dry, brittle and a little lifeless. This is quite a heavy creamy shampoo which feels like it is giving my hair lots of goodness and nourishment. As the shampoo is enriching I feel that it gives my thin lifeless hair a bit of body. I used to wash my hair 3 times per week, but can now reduce it to twice per week. Following using the 3 part system my hair is more shiny, glossy and manageable. Initially it may seem expensive, but the bottle is very large and will last in excess of 25 washes so represents good value.

I absolutely loved these products. The smell alone is reason enough for me to use them again and purchase them. It is DIVINE although it is quite strong so if you’re not a fan of strong fragrances, perhaps steer clear. I did not particularly notice any difference to my hair compared to using other salon quality products, to be quite honest. It has the same amount of shine as before and it does the same great job as other salon quality products that I purchase. There wasn’t particularly anything that stood out much compared to other products but it definitely does the job. Overall I would be inclined to purchase these products due to the smell alone!

Overall, it’s not a bad shampoo, and it might work well for others, but it didn’t wow me. I wouldn’t go out of my way to purchase it, as there are other shampoos that deliver better results for me.
