Redken Color Extend Brownlights Conditioner

I have natural dark brown hair with a lit bit of balayage. I found this shampoo worked really well on the balayage which was getting old and it took all the brasiness away and made it look almost freshly coloured. Downside is that even after thoroughly washing it out of my har, their were blur stains on my pillowcase from my wet hair. The stains came out though so all was ok!

As with the shampoo, I have never used a hair product for a certain coloured hair. I have natural dark brown hair, which I also dyed black though I have lots of regrowth. The instructions say to use gloves when applying this product but I didn't have any so didn't use them. I didn't find any problem not using gloves; the conditioner did not stain my skin at all so I am glad about that. The conditioner itself is hydrating and makes my hair shiny and soft. I would definitely recommend this as well as the shampoo, which compliment each other nicely.

After continued use together with the shampoo, I definitely find my hair feels softer and silky, colour looks great and smells good. Love this shampoo and conditioner combo!

I LOVED this product, the conditioner made my hair feel so soft, look smooth and shiny and smelled amazing. The only downside is that you have to wear gloves everytime you use it but other than that i have no compaints, its definately worth the money.

I absolutely loved this Redken product. It's reassuring that the product also performs as it claims. I recently stopped dying my hair and with that came brassy colour, not pretty! I use the color extended brown lights shampoo and conditioner twice a week. The Brassy tones are minimal and my greys are no where near as noticeable.

Love this conditioner! Having used Redken products in the past but opting for cheaper alternatives, this has made me realise that sometimes it is worth paying a bit more for quality. Although quite messy (blue splashes everywhere and blue hands), this conditioner made my hair shiny and removed the brassy tones, plus a little goes a long way. With a pleasant fragrance, and I really noticed the difference when drying and styling my hair - so much more manageable and soft. Definitely worth spending a little more on a good product, will be sticking with this one.

Thank you Beauty Crew for the opportunity to trial this! My review will be for the regime with points on why I liked each product. I wanted to trial this for as long as I could to write my review as I only wash my hair twice a week. The regime: When i first received this I was a little confused. I did not know we could get blue toners for brunettess! Having recently changed my black hair to a dark brown balayage I was genuinely excited to try this regime. I have tried it a few times both with and without gloves (lets be honest HAVING to wear gloves in the shower everytime is a little bit annoying and not likely to be done by everyone.) But considering the price and time we spend at the salon I want to do something at home that will also benefit my hair. While it does leave a little of a temporary blue stain on nails, towels, pillowcase etc. It is nothing that doesnt wash out. I can say that this regime definitely made an improvement on my hair. I am very prone to brassiness and my ombre colour is much more ashy than it was before I started using the shampoo and conditioner. The conditioner: The conditioner is a little smaller in volume at 250ml. Personally I liked this as I always have a few conditioner bottles hanging around long after the shampoo has run out. the conditioner is a bright blue thick creamy formula. I normally leave my conditioner in for a few minutes anyway so with this one I do leave it in for about 4-5 minutes whilst I do my skin regime etc. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. FINALLY something toning for the brunettes! I cant wait to continue using this to see if it eventually takes away most of the brassiness. My next hair appointment is in 3 weeks and I cant wait to tell my hair dresser what Ive been using to extend his good work! Thank you redken and Beauty Crew

I really enjoyed using this product. I am a very dark brunette naturally, and often find that products and the sun create a brassier tone. I’m definitely someone who prefers a cool tone (being very pale), and often my hairdresser tints my hair with bright blue or purple dyes to achieve this. I found that this was a really great, inexpensive way to do this at home and get the same results. The products smells amazing and it really seems like something that is salon quality at home. It can be a little bit difficult and messy to use, definitely not one for a quick wash in the morning, but great to use as a treatment to keep warm tones at bay. I found that I didn’t have time to use the shampoo every time I washed my hair, however the conditioner was quick and easy to use every time I washed my hair in order to keep as cool as possible. Obviously they work really well together, but I definitely use the conditioner more. I would recommend this product to any brunettes definitely something to keep their tones cool, and to be used as a treatment to keep hair in excellent condition. If you were to choose between the shampoo or condition to add to your routine, I would just pick the conditioner

Beautifully light fragrance, glides on and not oily. Have noticed the colour in my hair has not faded as fast as normal (even in these crazy iso times). Has been a godsend of a product, happy to recommend to all my fellow brunettes.

I love how the Redken Color Extend Brownlights Conditioner keep my colour looking healthy and vibrant. I have parts of my hair highlighted so I like to keep the brown retaining its rich colour, and keep the highlighted parts free from brassy tones. I have been using this conditioner with its matching shampoo and the results have been fantastic. It’s a blue colour conditioner, so it’s recommended you wear gloves, but honestly most times I couldn’t be bothered wearing gloves and it just meant a little extra scrubbing to get the colour off my hands. After using the shampoo you apply the conditioner and leave it for 5-10 minutes. If I am in the shower for a longer period of time, I will generally leave the conditioner on a few minutes extra to really sink in. Then rinse out. Results wise I am loving this conditioner, it’s gotten rid of the brassy unwanted tones. My hair looks so refreshed and shiny and like I had just had a toner applied from the hairdresser. My hair is healthy and vibrant. It’s been so useful during these COVID-19 times where I won’t be seeing the hairdresser for ages. It didn’t dry out my hair out at all instead my hair felt healthy, hydrated and super nourishing. The scent is soft and doesn’t irritate. Love this conditioner, so glad to have discovered it.

I received this product to review. I have medium long brown hair with some highlights. I found it to work fine it toned my hair great. But i couldn't replace my normal conditioner for this as it was a lot of work. You use it in conjunction with the shampoo each product needs to stay in for 3 to 5 minutes then it took forever to rinse it out. which was the most time consuming thing about the product. I didn't find that it made my hair soft or shiny as i had to use a treatment after using this product to make it feel clean and healthy and get that shine and softness. Also need to wear gloves with this product which i did not as i find that impractical in the shower. Overall its not a product that i will keep using maybe if anything once a month if that as i am a mum of 3 and found it time consuming. I would recommend this product if you have the time and would like to cool down your brown locks, it dose work well.

Love this product! It left my hair smelling and feeling great. Just need to allow enough time to leave the product in, and gloves are an absolute must as it is bright blue!

I was excited to try this conditioner and it did not disappoint. This conditioner comes in a beautiful blue bottle with easy to read instructions and the product is a gorgeous deep blue. Conditioning my hair with gloves on was a strange experience for me but I'm glad I did it. This conditioner did not leave blue stains in my shower. After rinsing out the conditioner, I wasn't sure that my hair would feel soft and silky but it did after it was dry. My highlights are intact and this product didn't strip the reddish brown colour from my hair.

I was so excited to see this come through to review. I used to use redken all the time but have since moved to another brand but I have recently just had my hair dyed back to a more natural warm brown after being darker brown/black. I have been finding that with the warmer tones of brown they do becomes lightened fairly quickly after a few washes and of a more brassy tone which I don't like. I had my hair done 2 weeks ago now and have started to use this shampoo and conditioner and I'm not seeing any loss in colour!! This conditioner keeps my hair healthy and soft and doesnt make it go oily fast like most do. Will definitely keep using and will invest in more too! Thanks Team best on yet!!

This conditioner complements the matching shampoo. It further softens your hair and adds additional shine to your hair. Beautiful results, my hair was soft and glossy. This conditioner is thick and a little goes a long way.The scent is amazing. These products really helped to tone down the dull , color and helped to refresh the dye on my hair. I feel these products are great money savers because they help to prolong your hair color , when you hair starts to look dull you can refresh your hair color by using the shampoo and conditioner instead of going back to the salon to re-dye your hair.

I love this conditioner- It smells so clean and helps extend your color, protects it from fading and makes hair feel so soft and smooth. For brunette girls I highly recommend!

I tried this conditioner in conjunction with the shampoo. I didn't really notice a change in the colour of my hair but it was nice and soft after using these products.

Use gloves to avoid blue hands for the day! I loved this conditioner, not only did it work in combo with matching shampoo to remove brassy tones from my hair but it made my hair feel so silky and smooth. Enjoyed the experience of using this conditioner each time I used it. Will be continuing to use and highly recommend to anyone wanting help with brassy or dry hair.

Does anyone else have a habit of doing a sniff test of shampoo and conditioner or just me? Word of warning for this one though, don’t put your nose right up to the hole and squeeze the bottle. Let’s say, a blue nose isnt a new trend haha. This has a milder scent to its shampoo duo but amazing. It compliments the blue toning shampoo well. It leaves your hair feeling ultra soft, nourished and smelling insanely good. Just like the feeling of coming straight out of the salon. Redken is constantly bringing in the quality goods and this has been one of the best toning conditioners I’ve tried. Do your hair a favour and buy this!

This conditioner is so so good. It does not take much to do the job, so the bottle will last a really long time. It has done wonders to my hair, it’s looking, smelling and shining like it never has before and with the shampoo I have no more brassyness!
