QV Skincare Dermcare Sting Free Ointment with Ceramides

I love the QV brand and the Dermcare Sting-Free Ointment didn’t disappoint. The price point is great, the texture is rich but not greasy, and the packaging is simple and practical. It hydrates and soothes dry, cracked skin without any stinging, and leaves my skin feeling protected for hours. I also appreciate the addition of ceramides to help support the skin barrier. It’s gentle enough for sensitive or eczema-prone skin. I’ll definitely be buying this again—it’s become a staple in my skincare routine.

I've used this on my body mainly arms and legs in the warmer days. After months of shaving, tannings and exfoliating my legs especially re quite dry, so I'm keen to always find something that give great hydration but at the same time doesn't give my legs a sticky feel. This does the job great, and it especially great for knees and elbows before applying fake tan. I also let my daughters use it too Overall I'm happy with this product which i received as a trial, i would purchase again. i also let my daughters use it for their legs too and they enjoyed it.

The formula of this ointment I loved. I applied it generously all over and focused on my knees and elbows. I felt moisturized thoroughly and over a couple of uses my skin felt soft and there was no dryness the next day which was really nice coming into the winter months. I used this over freshly shaved legs (where I had also nicked myself) and there was no stinging or irritation at all which I loved! The only thing that I had trouble with is that this ointment came in a tube which was so difficult to use. The formula gets soft and melts in your hands as you rub it in. I had to squeeze the ointment out with both hands to try to get the ointment out and managed to get some out when it popped out onto the floor. I would suggest warming it up with your hand prior to squeezing it out or getting the larger version in the pot container. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone with dry and sensitive skin.

As someone who suffers from seborrheic dermatitis, I have tried a lot of creams to help combat the affected areas. This cream has really helped minimise the severity of the effects and provided a nice, refreshing burst of hydration. The best feature of this product is the formulation: its water-free formula means that there is no stinging when I apply it and it works fast to start healing the dermatitis affected areas. It also helps provide some relief against the urge to scratch the affected areas, lessening the itchiness. The formula itself feels rich and somewhat luxurious despite the lower cost. I would highly recommend this for people with eczema, dermatitis and other skin issues.

This doesn’t sting, but it is very oily - to the point where I can only use it when wearing certain clothes to avoid ruining my good ones, so it’s usually just to bed. I wore it out one day and I left big oily marks from where my lower legs had been touching. It’s somehow so emollient and yet not hydrating for hands which is a real shame. Comes out of the tube very thick but melts down quickly to an oil. Didn’t break me out on my face which really surprised me. No scent. I really like QV products, but the 3 stars is due to the oiliness and being unable to use it as a suitable hand lotion.

I tend to have a reoccurance of very dry skin as soon as the seasons change, especially on my legs (shin area), elbows and hands. Using this QV Dermacare Sting-Free Ointment really helped in subsiding skin dryness. I applied it as soon as I was feeling a tightness and dryness to the area. It provided instant relief and hydration to the effected skin and lasted until the following day where I reapplied after my shower. It absorbed very well, after massaging thoroughly. The formula does not sting which is great, especially as it is suitable for eczema sufferers. I think this is a fantastic product in the QV range, it really provides relief and it's ceramide formula does help in giving my skin support from dehydration. I will happily continue using this during winter where my skin needs more attention.

The QV skincare dermcare sting free ointment with ceramides is the best ointment I have used. It comes in tub and tube and I prefer to use the tube because it is easier to carry in handbags and less mess. The ointment comes out as a thick clear balm that melts onto the skin as you spread it out. The ointment melts into oil form so it is idea on areas that are very dry. The ointment is fragrance free and contains ceramides which is helps with cracks so I usually apply the ointment on my lips, elbow and heels of my foot or part of my body that are dry. As I have very dry skin during cold weather, this ointment will be my most used product this winter. Normally apply on my skin after a hot shower. Given that this is a oil based product, it does feel greasy which doesn't bother me knowing my skin needs the extra care.

I have mixed feelings about this ointment - as someone who suffers with eczema and reactive skin, it can be difficult to find hydrating creams that work well with my skin. The formulation itself is great - it’s very hydrating and does a great job of protecting & hydrating eczema prone skin. I love that it’s also fragrance & colour free. However the texture of the ointment isn’t my cup of tea - I find ointments often leave too much of an oily residue on my skin and I don’t like how it feels on my hands. It’s thicker than a typical ointment so takes a bit longer to rub it in and it’s difficult to know exactly how much is the right amount, either using too much and slipping everywhere or using too little and ending up feeling like you’re trying to rub oil on sandpaper. It’s definitely something I’d recommend to others that don’t have texture triggers like me as it does do a great job!

On clean and dry skin I rub the ointment between my fingers and liberally apply it to dry areas which include backs of knees, heels, thighs, lips, inner elbows and hands. The ointment feels lovely and moisturising right away especially now when it is cold weather I have lots of areas to apply it. I like that it is fragrance and colour free. I have been using this ointment on myself and my daughter, we both have dry skin and have areas which are eczema prone. We both have areas that can become quite sore and this truely doesn’t sting.
