Gentle and moisturising

My daughter has suffered from eczema for many years, and uses Dermcare Eczema Daily Cream when she has the occasional flare up due to stress or environmental conditions. This, in conjunction with the companion product - Dermcare Eczema Daily Wash, keeps her eczema mostly under good control. My mother in law also uses this for dry skin, although she doesn’t have eczema, and is very happy with how hydrated it makes her skin feel. The pump bottle is handy to use, and the cream has a pleasant, neutral scent.

Great for dry, itchy or irritated skin on the face

QV is manufactured by Ego Pharmaceuticals in Australia and they always make reliable, good quality products. This cream used to be called 'QV Intensive with Ceramides Light Moisturising Cream' when it was released - it is now renamed, but the list of ingredients are identical. The formula contains glycerin, niacinamide, lactic acid and two types of ceramides and it is fragrance-free. It comes in a 350ml pump bottle and also a 1L bottle. It is now marketed for eczema but in reality you don't have to have eczema to find it useful. I don't have eczema but I can have irritated or itchy spots on my face. For reference, I have combination skin prone to dehydration and my husband has dry and sensitive skin. The cream is reasonably light and absorbs nicely on our faces - it does stay slightly sticky on me so I prefer it at night. Those with normal to dry skin are likely to find it just right. I find it very soothing and it reduces itching when I have irritated skin. The ingredients in the formula boost skin barrier health and prevents dryness. Not many bulk-size moisturiers with ceramides have niacinamide, so good on QV for putting this in.

QV Dermacare Eczema Daily Cream

Having medically diagnosed eczema I have had this skin condition for as long as I remember. I get it on my scalp, the base of my skull/top of neck, hands, feet and inner thigh. I currently have had a flare up on my inner thigh and base of my skull top of neck. I’m conjunction with the QV Dermacare Eczema Daily Wash I have been using the QV Dermacare Eczema Daily Cream at least once at day for the last 4 weeks. The Cream comes conveniently packaged in a 350mL pump bottle I find this so easy to use straight after the shower. After using the wash and patting my skin dry I applied a few pumps of the cream to my body but focusing more on the affected areas. The cream is white in colour, fragrance free and has a lot of slip to it so needs to be massaged in well. My skin felt more hydrated, soft and smooth after use the only downfall with the cream for me was that it stung some areas in particular my thighs. I found the dry cracked flakiness outer layer appears to be repaired as it is gone, although still red it is less irritated and itchy and more hydrated, soft and smooth.
