OGX 5 in 1 Benefits + Frizz Free Keratin Smoothing Oil Shampoo

WE’VE ALL HEARD THE SAYING on those skin or Haircare commercials- “it won’t happen overnight but it will happen”. I’ve found this to be the case a lot of times! But Ogx’s @ogxbeautyanz Frizz Free + Keratin Smoothing Oil Shampoo and Conditioner deliver in just an incredible one wash I found! After using one time, I found my hair was immediately more hydrated with less frizz and significantly more body! Plus my colour looked bright and fresh when it really wasn’t! The set promises 5 in 1 benefits for hair such as- - strengthening hair - Frizz taming - Adds shine - Protects against humidity - Improves flexibility These benefits are delivered using a blend of ceramides, argan oil and keratin proteins. Plus my hair didn’t feel weighed down or oily/greasy at any point. Coming in a pretty berry coloured curved 385mL bottle, it also has a lovely light fruity scent. I also liked that I didn’t need a lot of product to deliver these results. This set is available at supermarkets nationwide and are affordable and usually on sale somewhere. I know will definitely be purchasing again!

I’m always looking for a shampoo conditioner combo that helps me with my frizzy hair and this seemed to do the trick well. The smell is really enticing and although it doesn’t lather up as easily as other shampoos it doesn’t need to do do what’s on the label. I think you definitely need to do the whole lather rinse repeat thing to get the best results though. A few washes later and my hair was less frizzy and felt nice and soft. I feel like the ratio of conditioner to shampoo is really off with most brands and this was no exception. Definitely needed more conditioner.

I have been using OGX for years but it's my first time using the Keratin Smoothing Oil range. For context, I have very long hair that is bleach damaged and frizzy. I thought this shampoo was decent as an every day product and would likely begin to purchase this instead of my usual variant. The shampoo as a pleasant scent. It cleanses my scalp without being too drying or leaving my hair greasy. My hair was easier to brush after using this (though I always used it in conjunction with the conditioner) and it also felt clean and fresh for the next two days. However, I don't think it gave substantial shine or smoothing results. OGX shampoos have a good price point, especially since they're often on sale too, so I would repurchase this as an every day shampoo then splurge a bit more on my hair masks.

Shampoo from the 5 in 1 range..is so nice the fragrance is very nice not overpowering .. it cleans up scalp as well as hydrate it with Keratin, Argan Oil & Ceramide .. Leaves hair so smooth and shiney.. gives beautiful finish so it is easy to style them.. This makes hair less frizzy and more manageable .. It reduces hair breakage as well as it doesnot dry the hair… leaves hair smooth and smelling great too.. easy to make them in any style.. I will keep using it .. indeed its w nice hair product..

I really quite like this shampoo! This is meant to help deal with those pesky split ends and frizz, so that you can have smoother, healthier hair. This achieves that by using a blend of keratin, argan oil and ceramide. It's also supposed to improve the flexibility of your hair, while protecting it against humidity and giving your hair that healthy sheen. I really like that this leaves my hair looking and feeling great, without weighing it down, or leaving it greasy. My scalp also feels quite clean and it doesn't cause any discomfort to it at all. There is some volume, and definitely a bit of shine, and it also has a lovely scent, which is quite fruity and sweet, not something I'd expect from OGX. This goes well with the conditioner, and it also comes in a red bottle, in a shape that fits the rest of the range. It's a lovely shampoo, and I'm quite happy with it!

It’s not my first time trying OGX product. But this range is a first. The packaging is cute. It does reduce frizziness. It makes my hair soft but I have damaged dry hair so the conditioner is always a must. It doesn’t make my hair greasy. I find that I need to use more product for it to lather. Or maybe I’m just used to shampoo with so much lather. 😊 For the price point, it is not on the cheaper side. And I love the scent, I love a good smelling hair. Overall, it’s a lovely product to try. I would recommend this to those with dry hair.

This is an all around great shampoo! It makes my hair super shiny and smells great just like strawberry flavours. Sadly though, compared to other shampoos it doesn’t deep clean the way I want it to. It does everything it says it’s supposed to do though like taming frizz, humidity protection, and shine. Only a small amount is enough for my long hair with dry ends usually, and lather really easily. Have been using it for weeks now and still would buy it again when is on sale, can save a bit with this small size.

This is the first time I have reviewed something through this company and I am very happy to report that I had a very excellent experience! I really like the bottle in both the shampoo and conditioner. It looks very nice sitting in my shower shelf. The shape and size is really good as well! I really enjoyed the way the shampoo lathered in my hands. The smell was very enjoyable as well, it was spicy and could be unisexed. The smell stayed in my hair days after I washed it which is fantastic! My hair felt super moisturized which I'm assuming is thanks to the argon oil. I also noticed my hair was alot less frizzer than other normal shampoo I use that I get from Woolworths. The conditioner worked very well at conditioning my hair and leaving it feeling super silky and soft! Very happy with this product and I will probably purchase it in the future!

This is my first real experience trying the OGX products so I was quite excited to trial this particular line as it addresses my hair concerns. I appreciate the shape of the packaging for easy handling and absolutely adore the fragrance, kind of sweet and warm which lingers in the hair nicely for days afterward. I did find this shampoo a little bit tricky to emulsify in my hands to apply and lather but got there eventually in the end… once rinsed out my hair felt very soft and not stripped of moisture. Once dried my hair did have reduced frizz but after the trial period my hair was very try I will have to get a hair just from split ends

Initially when trying this product I thought it was amazing! I have very damaged, short hair and this shampoo and conditioner made it sooo shiny and soft. I used it three or four times but unfortunately my opinion changed the longer I used it. I found my breakage got pretty bad, and I’m not sure if this was because I’d stopped using my salon quality products or because it was because of this particular product. I was using this by shampooing my hair roots twice,-: I didn’t feel it was clean enough with one wash. I then conditioned my ends and left the product on for at least 2 minutes.

Really like this shampoo! I have thick, fluffy wavy hair which is quite difficult to manage. When used in combination with the conditioner, my hair felt really soft and silky without being weighed down. My hair felt really clean, didn’t leave it oily or anything and I was able to go my usual 3 days in between washes. I didn’t really find that this minimized the fly always but I think they comes down to my hairtype. I really like the scent and it does linger after your hair is dry but is not over powering. I would recommend this product and will repurchase.

Used this product for 2 weeks just before, and then as my usual shampoo and conditioner for 2-3 weeks after having a salon keratin smoothing treatment. Noticed a fair reduction in frizz with use of the shampoo before I had the salon treatment, but at the expense of loosing my natural curl. After the salon treatment it was a great option to maintain the frizz-free look. I didn’t feel as though I had to use copious amounts of shampoo for my hair to feel clean. Used in conjunction with matching conditioner. My hair felt clean for several days, and was very soft. Cons: I’m not a huge fan of the keratin treatment smell (definitely prefer floral scents!), it feels a bit ‘chemical’. Also noticed my hair felt more knotty and tangled since using this product - but easy to de-tangle with brushing. I would buy again for use with my already keratin treated hair, good value for money for a sulphate-free shampoo with added bonus of being a smoothing shampoo. Noticed my hair feels lighter with this product, compared to other sulphate free shampoo. Not sure I would use on untreated hair (which is normally curly and frizzy). Good value for money, I have still got a very small amount of product left after about 5 weeks of use (usual 2-3 washes per week on long hair).

I was lucky enough to get to trial this along with the conditioner component for a month as part of the trial team. I am a big fan of the OGX brand; I love their product design, theirs ingredients style and I normally have a great time when using them, so I had high expectations for this, especially cos this brand, for a supermarket brand, can be quite hyped. I have very long, dark, thick hair that goes past my buttocks (lol) so I am always very particular on my products cos I need something that not only lasts and goes a long way for the amount of thick lengths it’s being used on, but also gives the right end results for my intense hair and gives a nice result without much styling products or heat added to it. Unfortunately this product was not the right fit for me and my hair, the hype was too much and I was left disappointed in the end. The SMELL as soon as you get it out of the bottle I found was SO INTENSE - something you don’t want even if it’s nice - but also was not a nice smell. It was an oil smell, but reminded me of almost car oil? But not exactly that. It was just unpleasant and overpowering and it made it hard to use as I had to adjust to the intense smell and odd texture. I had to use the shampoo a few times over, rinsing and repeating more than I usually would and using more than I would like each time, in order to get my hair feeling like it had gotten what it needed from it all over. I also found that this felt very easily stripping of my natural oils leaving that “squeaky” feeling at my roots, which I hate. Whilst I found this not so pleasant to use whilst in the shower, ONCE OUT - and with my hair DRY- I found the results to be a lot better and thus making this have some come back for it and worth continuing to use for the purpose of reviewing. Once dry, I found that the benefits it boasted to give were in fact there: my hair had more tamed frizziness and less frizz in general, it was smooth, it was softer and a little stronger, it had nice shine to it and it managed to keep its results for a long time which is important to me as I cannot wash my hair too often and need it to keep my hair looking nice between washes. It did do just that. I found that it did not make my hair anymore manageable or easy to brush, but it made it soft and smooth and thus easier to get away with lazy looks and quick styling. All in all, for people like ME - with LONG, THICK HAIR - I would not recommend. It is far too much time usage and product usage to be worth it and I would not buy this personally after reviewing it. It was too finicky. For my friends with shorter, perhaps maybe even more damaged and especially frizzy hair, I think this could be a really good fit! So long as they can handle the smell. I am glad I got to try this and if I ever recommend this I will be warning of the smell first.

I trialled this product for beautycrew and gosh was I impressed! My hair is usually incredibly frizzy and unmanageable after washing with air drying impossible but after using this shampoo I'm able to air dry my hair and it dries beautiful silky and smooth. I almost can't believe it. Even when heat drying, my hair is left amazing and shiny. I've received so many compliments on my hair since using this shampoo. The shampoo itself is great, not too runny, a great consistency and smells amazing. It works so well with my hair and does not make it greasy or oily any faster. I will definitely repurchase and recommend to other!

The shampoo definitely meets all its claims - my hair felt smoother, stronger, shinier, silkier and softer. I noticed how frizz-free and nicely fragranced my hair was as I would constantly run my fingers through my hair because it was so soft. If you have oily dandruff like me, the shampoo is not sufficient enough to thoroughly clean your scalp, so I would recommend using the OGX 5 in 1 regimen after a deep clean to help get the 5-benefit effect. I also found it slightly difficult to lather the product in my hair and had to use an excessive amount of shampoo to ensure I am cleaning my whole head. The bottle was strangely not ergonomic to use for my small hands because the circumference of the bottle was so big it was hard to hold. Overall, I would recommend it to those who don't have scalp problems and would like to enhance the appearance of their hair :)

I recently tried the dynamic duo that is OGX Keratin Smoothing Oil Shampoo & Conditioner and it would have to be my favourite OGX combo. The products work together exceptionally well to create silky smooth hair and combat frizz. Together the products offer an extremely smoothing finish which is exactly what I need to survive living in tropical North Queensland’s humidity! I absolutely rate OGX and find their products provide a little (read: a lot of) bit of luxury for a fraction of the cost! Highly recommend if you’re after an at home salon finish.

I have been using this shampoo for about 3 weeks now. The smell is divine and the consistency really great. I have very thick hair and found I needed a good amount of product to lather up nicely. This May just be because it’s sulfate free, which is worth needing a bit more product for. I can see it running out quite quickly depending how often you wash your hair. When used in conjunction with the conditioner, I definitely noticed my hair was smoother and softer. Even when letting my hair air dry, it was noticeably less frizzy. In all honestly I probably won’t buy again unless it’s on sale.

Overall its a nice product with nice smell and quality. Its good to use once a week, due to high dose of natural and useful ingredients. But I didn't like is after 2-3 days, as my hair becomes very very oily. I loved the shape and look of the bottle, easy to carry too but it didn't help much with my fizziness or added any extra volume or shine. I would recommend this product to people have very very dry hair and looking for extra moisture for the hair and will suggest using it once a week.

I have been using the OGX Frizz Free Range and I am thoroughly impressed! I have dry, frizzy hair and after using this range, I noticed my hair is so much more smoother and tame. I love the smell of it as well and it lingers for a little bit after. The shampoo does a great job at removing all the excess product that's left in my hair. Overall I am happy with this and would repurchase, usually I would have to style my hair with heat to reduce the frizz but I don't need to after using this range. I definitely recommend this shampoo and conditioner to everyone who struggles with frizzy hair!
