NYX Professional Makeup Control Freak Eye Brow Gel

I've spent a lot more on clear brow gels in the past, but I've been trying to cut back on my spending in regard to skincare and makeup, so I've been dabbling in drugstore products lately to see which ones perform. For under $10, I think this gel provides good value for money. The hold isn't the strongest, but it does hold the hairs in place and looks very natural in doing so. It's not sticky or clumpy or hard when set, it applies well and comes off easily when required. Would recommend for a medium hold brow gel, and is a great starting place for brow gel beginners.

Given that NYX says that this can be used as a clear mascara, I have been using this as a clear coat on top of dried black mascara to stop the smudging. It works alright but not as good as some other clear mascaras that I've tried in the past for this purpose. As a clear mascara by itself it's ok. Not outstanding,  but ok. Granted, I'm not exactly using it as a brow gel which is it's primary use.

Hmm... I've tried a few eyebrow gels and this one was pretty average to me and didn't do much in terms of setting the brow or pro-longing wear time. I just found the formula too thin and it was just an extra unnecessary step in my makeup routine, so I stopped using it. The packaging is really nice though, it's like the size of a standard mascara tube. The brush is really weird and doesn't coat the brows properly.

Super long-lasting, only have to apply this once and it will keep everything in place all day without touch ups! So easy to apply, and is such a great price. It maintains a strong hold and is ideal for tidying up brows or adding shape. Washes off easily with a basic cleanser too.

I really love this brow gel to keep unruly brows in check for a sleek professional look. Easy to use I always use it over the top of a brow pencil and my brows stay in place all day. It gives a lovely neat look with ease and is such a fabulous price as all nyx products are. It is not sticky or greasy and is so quick to use for a sophisticated brow. I highly recommend purchasing this product
