NIVEA Gentle Cleansing Wash Cream

I have combination skin, experiencing the odd break out and have some dry skin too. My skin has responded really well to this cleanser, it has the slightest sweet scent and is white it colour and has the odd pink speck I’m unsure what it is if it is for aesthetics as it’s not granular. I like to cleanse in the shower in the mornings it sits perfectly on the lid which makes using the cleanser easy. My skin feels soft, calm and hydrated after cleansing any it starts my morning routine off hydrated not dry creating the perfect base which is perfect for me before I start my makeup for the day.

I have dry to normal skin and have always enjoyed a cream cleanser for a morning cleanse. Nivea Gentle Cleansing Cream is perfect for me. It glides on well on slightly wet skin and rinses off reasonably well and does not leave a sticky or unpleasant residue. My skin is left very soft afterwards. There are some pink particles and they are not exfoliants (they dissolve upon massage) but I have no idea what they are. Fragrance is a little strong at first but I have gotten used to it by now (approximately 2 months). I received this cleanser directly from Nivea for trial and review.

I loved this cleanser. It’s perfect for anyone with sensitive skin as it doesn’t irritate at all. It’s quite a thick cleanser in consistency but it’s super easy to use, just massage in and rinse off. I found it removes makeup, dirt and oil with ease and after cleansing my skin feels really smooth and clean and best of all, not dried out. It’s quite a hydrating cleanser and never leaves my skin with that tight feel that some cleansers can. I recommend following up with a good moisturiser though. It smells beautiful and is packaged nicely and I can’t go past the price, it’s very economical and delivers great results for a budget friendly cleanser. Overall, a winner for me

I was very lucky to receive this item to trial. I have dry sensitive skin and often have sensitivities to products. This product did not cause any sensitivity, it was extremely gentle as it’s name suggests. I don’t usually go for a thicker cleanser because I find them harder to wash off, this product is quite thick however using it in the shower it was perfect. It felt really moisturising and soothing on my skin, especially good when cleansers usually strip everything and leave you feeling dry, this product didn’t do that at all. Overall this product left my skin feeling clean and refreshed, while being gentle and not stripping my skin of any of its essential moisture. 5 stars from me, I will keep using this product.

I really wanted to love this product but unfortunately, it wasn't suitable for me at all. My skin is extremely sensitive to heavily scented products and I knew the second the product fell into my hands that it wouldn't agree with me. The consistency is very thick like a cream, if you had extremely dry skin it would be soothing but my skin is combination so I don't need that level of thickness. The scent as mentioned is quite overpowering, almost a combination of rose perfume with sunscreen. As the product sat on my face during the cleansing process I felt immediate irritation and burning, which I expected. For a cleanser that is suitable to sensitive skin, it shouldn't have fragrance. I think if you are in the market for a cleanser for sensitive skin there are much better ones at a similar price point and with better quality ingredients.

This gentle cream cleanser is a nice texture. It doesn't effectively remove make-up by itself, but I find it works well as a second cleanse (following an oil cleanse if double cleansing). It leaves my skin nice and hydrated without the stripped squeaky clean feeling. It has a mild fragrance, which I usually find unnecessary in skincare, however this didn't irritate my mildly sensitive skin, but those with more sensitive skin should be aware. For the price point it is a nice addition to my skincare routine and I would recommend it. It is probably more suited to dry skin.

I didn’t love this cleanser as it doesn’t leave my skin feeling clean. I use an oil based makeup remover before cleansing in the shower, I found this cleanser doesn’t remove the oily finish on my skin and doesn’t remove any left over makeup either - kinda just spreads it around more. I’m also not much of a fan of cleansers with the beads in it. I have sensitive skin and it didn’t cause any flare ups at all which is a plus, definitely is gentle and calming. Just not for me :) I would probably recommend this cleanser for a young teen that is just getting into skin care or someone who doesn’t wear makeup daily, but not so much to an older adult who wears makeup everyday.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that is after a simple, affordable and good quality cleanser. The smell of the cleanser is nice and pleasant but not too overpowering, not to mention it is also visually appealing in a beautiful pink colour. I really do love the beads that help to exfoliate the skin very gently and not too overpowering where it feels like sand. I have sensitive skin and very dry skin but it didn’t irritate me which is fantastic, and also didn’t get a rash which is something my skin tends to react if a product is too harsh. I will definitely be using the product and look to repurchase down the track. For $11, you can’t go wrong!!

This cleanser is in a easy to use tube which is really handy for travel. The cleanser is gentle on my face as it's more of a creamy texture which however doesn't foam or lather and I liked that. The product feels like a lightly whipped texture that comes out of tube quite easily. The bottle doesn't clogg up or have issues it was easy. Using a small amount will work well you don't need to use much as a little goes a long way. I found it didn't dry my skin out too much I have very sensitive skin so I was impressed. The scent didn't bother me too much I found it not to strong so it may suit people who are sensitive to fragrance.

I think this cleanser is a great gentle cleanser for someone who has dry skin. It's cream, so it doesn't strip your skin at all. I found it wasn't quite as effective as an oil in removing stubborn eye makeup, but good enough for removing sunscreen, foundation etc. I would recommend using it with a soft microfiber cloth to help remove any last traces of makeup. One call out would be that the scent is really strong. It's similar to the classic Nivea cream scent. I didn't mind it for a cleanser, but might be a bit overpowering if you're not used to it!

I was really looking forward to trying out this cleanser! I have sensitive skin that goes super red and sore if I use an irritating product. I'm not a fan, to be honest. This cleanser is thick and smells like sunscreen. I'm not too sure what the little balls are doing in the cleanser because unfortunately, it wasn't able to remove my makeup and it just added another product to my skin routine. I normally use Sukin products which make my skin feel light, soft and leaves me glowing. This cleanser makes my skin feel really oily and I couldn't keep using it as it made me break out.

I have combination dry and sensitive skin. I initially found this product quite nice; it feels calming and hydrating to use. It’s definitely great for dry skin as it didn’t make my skin feel stripped or dehydrated after use. I’m not the biggest fan of the scent, I prefer my skincare to have no fragrance but it’s not so overpowering that it’s a major issue. However, I also have acne prone skin and found that this cleanser didn’t make my skin feel clean enough. Because of this I probably won’t continue using this product as I would rather use a cleanser that gave my skin a deep cleanse and then implement hydrating serums and toners into my routine. I would recommend this product to anyone that has dry/sensitive skin but if you are prone to acne or prefer a deeper cleanse this cleanser isn’t for you.

I’ve been using this cleanser for the past few weeks and I have to say it has quickly become one of my favourite everyday cleansers, particularly for my sensitive skin! I’ve been loving the cream like texture as I feel it does a good job of retaining the moisture, whilst giving it a nice cleanse and does not strip my dry skin like many other cleansers I’ve tried. I usually opt for more higher end brands for face products but can say this one is definitely is great value and I will be looking to replenish after this one is used up.

This product is a great staple for dry skin. This cleanser lathers well on the skin and gently removes dirt and light makeup. This cleanser does not effectively remove a full face of makeup, however, this is a great product for the second cleanse. The cleanser is heavily fragranced with the traditional Nivea smell, perhaps it would be overpowering for those with sensitivities to fragrance. A great product that locks in moisture and leaves the skin feeling smooth, moisturised, and clean. I will continue to use this product, particularly as winter approaches.

I’ve used Nivea products my whole life and I was really excited when I received this product to trial. During the Winter months, my skin can suffer from dry patches, become sensitive and have flaky patches so I’m constantly on the hunt for a gentle but effective cleanser to get me through the cooler months. The fragrance was the first thing I noticed. It really lovely and the product was easy to dispense with the squeezy bottle. The cleanser felt gentle but worked really well with some lukewarm water. Pn some days, I used it as a double-cleanse to get rid of the extra build-up and I felt like it didn’t try my skin out at all. After using this every day, I’ve noticed that my skin feels softer and clean but without the usual dryness after cleansing. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a gentle cleanser for Winter or anyone who has sensitive skin. It’s another great Nivea product!

I received this product as a free trial, I also haven’t used Nivea products since I was a teenager. I was very impressed with how gentle this product was for my sensitive skin. I have dry patches on both my cheeks and slightly on my forehead and jaw. This product definitely didn’t make it worse and I have noticed a slight improvement on how dry and rough my skin is since using this product. It also has a very pleasant smell unlike some that smell like chemicals or soap. I would recommend this product if you have sensitive skin and find your skin is starting to feel dry.

I use this product as the second step of my double cleansing skincare regimen after removing my makeup with an oil-based cleanser. I really like the texture and consistency of the product, it feels like fine whipped cream with micro beads. I found the product gentle without stripping my skin of essential hydration. I love that it does not lather when I massage it to my face, and my face feels clean and fresh after rinsing off the product, unlike other gentle face cleansers that I have used. My skin also does not feel tight after using this product. I usually wash my face with only water in the mornings, but on days where I feel oilier than usual when waking up, I feel that this product is gentle enough to use in the mornings too. However, I am not a fan of the scent, it gives off a strong perfumed scent which I am not a fan of in my skincare products. Overall, it is a good drugstore facial cleanser for gentle and dry skin at a really affordable price.

This cleaners is good if your skin is sensitive. I have eczema on my face and it is very hard to find a cleanser which doesn’t hurt my face and turn it red. This cleanser did not do that, it left my skin nice and clean. HOWEVER, after using it my face did not feel hydrated and started to go a little tight. Over the week I overcame this by using a think moisturiser as soon as I washed my face. I will buy this again, as I have already said it is hard to find a cleanser for eczema. However, disappointed that is so drying to my skin. Reading other reviews this might just be my skin, so definitely give it a go if your skin is on the angry side!

I received this product to trial. I remember having a similar Nivea cream wash many years ago which I also adored. This scrub does everything it says it will. It is gentle, looks pretty and smells pretty. It gently washes your skin but doesn't strip. It effectively removes makeup so I like to use it as a cream cleanser as my first step in my nightly routine. I adore Nivea products and have never been disappointed in a product of theirs. I will repurchase and am confident buying Nivea products as they always stand up to their claims. Thank you beauty crew

I love this product. I have been using this cleanser for 2 weeks now, and it’s amazing, my skin usually feels very dry after cleansing, , but with this cleanser my skin feels very hydrated and moisturised, and I’m finding my make up is going on a lot smoother, I don’t have any dry patches on my skin anymore , and I’m getting a lot of compliments on how smooth my skin looks. So I will definitely be using this product in the future and would definitely recommend it to anyone who suffers with dry skin.
