NIVEA Daily Essentials Light Moisturising Day Cream SPF 30+

I love the smell of Nivea products. They are affordable , reliable and the scent evokes memories of many years of using their products. When I have run out of something Nivea is one of the safe go-to brands to try.  I needed a new daily moisturiser and was in Woolworths and I bought this impulsively. It’s a nice light consistency which absorbs quickly into the skin. I find by the end of the day I am quite shiny and I usually try to break up the week by using a different moisturiser on Wednesday. So I wouldn’t say I’ve found my holy grail moisturiser yet. However for the price and availability it’s a great product to have on hand for inbetween uses.

Targeted to suit both normal or combination skin types, I purchased this moisturiser to use as a day cream in the hot weather. I wanted a lightweight cream for my combination skin that had SPF30 or higher, and the bargain price tag was also quite attractive. The moisturiser comes boxed, with the cream housed in a white screw top jar.  It is a standard 50mls size I've really enjoyed using this moisturiser, finding it perfectly suited to my combination skin.  Lightly scented with Nivea's famous scent, the moisturiser is white in colour with a lovely, lightweight texture. It's definitely hydrating enough for my skin and is perfect for this time of year, when I find richer creams too heavy and cloying.  The inclusive UVA/UVB protection is so important all year round, and a big selling point for this cream for me. I will happily repurchase this cream and highly recommend it for anyone with combination or normal skin types.

I always keep a tub of NIVEA Daily Essentials Light Moisturising Day Cream SPF 30+ for when I am going to spending an extended amount of time in the sun without makeup.   This is also my emergency day cream should I run out of my preferred NIVEA product being the Moisturising Fluid SPF 15 which comes in a tube and is easier to dispense rather than a tub.  Especially so if you have long finger nails.    It is light on my skin and is easily absorbed after my morning cleansing.  

I have been using this moisturiser for over three years now and have never had a problem with it. It definitely manages to natural oils of my skin, and certainly seems to be protecting me from sun damage. I also don't think I've had many wrinkles or signs of aging form over the years I have used this. I apply it before my every day makeup, and at the end of the day my skin still feels moisturised. I can't detect a scent, other than maybe just a clean smell, so don't think it would bother anyone who notices scents!
