Neutrogena® Bright Boost™ Resurfacing Micro Polish

This has been a really nice, affordable and easy to find exfoliant. For a product I only use once a week (sometimes twice) it has been nice to find a good quality supermarket product. The packaging is lovely (I like the colour) and dispenses well. I really like the texture and the feeling when using. It doesn't feel too harsh to use but it leaves my skin feeling so refreshed, smooth and ready to follow with my PM skincare routine. I would say it is a fine coarseness (if that's how I would describe) and it feels good to use and not feel to rough on my face. My skin looks bright and fresh.

Sometimes, all my skin needs is an exfoliant with some texture - something rough to feel like you're really sloughing off old skin and product. This product does that for me, in a creamy, silicony and not "too much" kind of way. It doesn't hurt or sting or feel like it's taking off too much skin but it does leave the skin feeling, and looking, bright, clean and fresh. I'm a fan of Dermalogica's rougher exfoliant and hadn't stepped too far outside of that realm, really only using other chemical exfoliants, so I am grateful I gave this a try - it lives in my shower, and I will repurchase when it runs out!

I’m never a fan of any rough textured products. This was one of them. It has small micro specks you could say. It helps with exfoliation but I wasn’t a big fan as my skin is combination and sensitive. After using this product my skin was quite red. Scent is quite perfumy. If you don’t like scents in your skincare, then you probably will not like this product. Packaging is nice and compact. Just be careful if you have sensitive skin with this as it can irritate. Just make sure you wet your face thoroughly before using this cleanser.

This is both a physical and chemical exfoliant with alpha hydroxy acids. I have not used a physical exfoliator in many years after bad experiences with other products, this has been a good experience though! I have quite sensitive skin but found this product great for my skin. The physical exfoliant is actually quite soft on the skin, although I would not use this product daily and it is recommended only a few times a week. I was wanting to improve and brighten my skin tone and this definitely gave instant brightening results after using it. Skin felt smoother after using this exfoliant too. This product does have fragrance if you are sensitive to that, I did not have any issues with the fragrance in this product though.

I was a little bit apprehensive about using this as my skin can react quite badly to physical (and chemical) exfoliants however this one worked on my skin without an issue. The scent is nice and the formula has just enough grit to leave you with that fresh feeling but also removing dead and dry skin without irritation. After using, my skin felt great and felt very refreshed which gave me a great base for make up and my other skincare products. I would recommend this to anyone who likes the feeling of a physical exfoliant.

I normally use a chemical exfoliant that’s gentle daily on my skin, as I’ve heard you can get micro tears from physical exfoliants, especially ones that are coarse. However I found this to be really pleasant to use, it didn’t react badly with my sensitive skin. I liked how fine the physical scrub was and liked that I could use it as a bit of a lip scrub as well. Well priced product for what it does. My only disappointment is the fragrance, I’m glad it washed off and didn’t stay on my skin but found it too artificial smelling, and unnecessary.

This is probably my favourite out of the Bright Boost trio! I used it 3 times a week and it was gentle on my skin and left it feeling soft and clean. It has quite a pleasant fragrance and lathered up really nicely (I used it in the shower!) and definitely gave me a fresh feeling first thing in the morning. I didn't, however, feel like it reduced or helped any breakouts/blackheads so I don't think I'd purchase again as I've had better success with other scrubs. I will say, it's a great budget-friendly option and pharmacy find if you want something simple.

Being a physical exfoliator, the Neutrogena Micro Polish is surprisingly gentle on the face in comparison to a lot of other physical exfoliators out in the market. This is due to the smaller, grainier and smoother 'beads' used. Good to use once weekly. Any more often and you might find that it is too aggravating on the skin. Like the other products in this range, it is very heavily scented and quite over powering. Due to this, and the fact that I prefer more gentle chemical exfoliators, I have rated it 3 stars.

I have been using this scrub three times a week for the past month first thing in the morning and i am really enjoying the results and think it will stay as part of my weekly facial routine. You only need to use a pea sized amount and its more than enough to cover whole face so i can see this product being long lasting. I have found it has the perfect consistency , its has a gentle mix of scrub to a soothing wash gel without leaving my face feel too raw. This product really cleans your skin and leaves it feeling refreshed, bright and awake ready for the day

I cannot love this polish more! Its a beautiful fine granule and easily washes off. I have sensitive skin, prone to redness and dryness. I leaves my skin feeling really nice and not tight. I had no reaction and can use three times a week without overdoing it. It doesnt lather like a cleanser which i love as well. The only *only* thing i can complain about is the fragrance- i would give the product 10/5 if it was fragrance free. It runs through the whole line. Its not unpleasant- but more unnecessary.

This was my favourite out of the three Neutrogena Bright Boost products. I found the grittiness of the product to be quite effective at removing make up and perfect for when you're needing some extra exfoliation. That being said I definitely would recommend only using once-twice a week because it would be too strong on your skin to use daily. I would only recommend this to people who enjoy using physical exfoliant products. I also found this product had a really pleasant scent that made me enjoy using it even more.

Absolutely love this! I wasn’t surprised that this worked wonders on my face because anything from Neutrogena always produces great results for me. Only after a few applications, I already felt and saw a difference, with my face feeling soft and smooth. My face felt smoother and looked brighter after just a couple of uses! The formula is oil free and alcohol free so I fad no worries with it and my sensitive skin. I was able to use it with no negative after-effects which is always a massive positive when my face tends to flare up with new product I have not used before. Highly recommend!

I received the Neutrogena bright boost range to trial and to say I was impressed is an understatement. I’ve been struggling with skin that is dry one day and oily the next, looking rather lifeless and dull, but after using this exfoliator in combination with the serum and moisturiser my skin has never looked better. The exfoliator is a physical and chemical based polish which is effective but gentle, if used correctly (no harsh scrubbing!) Which leaves the skin smooth without feeling irritated. I’ve got sensitive skin so I only used this one a week though this was more than sufficient to keep everything smooth and flake free. I will definitely repurchase this whole range again and again!

I absolutely loved Neutrogena Bright Boost Resurfacing Micro Polish! As far as exfoliators go, my skin doesn't always appreciate them but this one was amazing. Super gentle with its fine texture, but very apparent afterwards that it was doing its job. No dryness or feeling over-exfoliated though, just soft and smooth glowing skin. I'm pretty sure combined with the other Bright Boost products it wiped a couple of years off my face! The cherry on the top was actually the smell, it smells really lovely!

I really love exfoliate and I have kept it in my shower caddy, the packaging is super cute. I use typically exfoliate my face one a week (Self-care Sundays) and so far have really enjoyed this facial scrub. The micro scrub is gentle on the skin when you massage it in circular motions on your face and doesn’t cause any irritations or redness after use as most scrubs do. Micro polishes are also not made for everyday use so you’re definitely getting your money’s worth in this product as it’ll last you some time and a little goes a long way.

My skin is easily sensitised, so I try to stay clear of harsh physical exfoliants, but I was excited to try this double exfoliant and see how my skin reacted. The exfoliant beads are on the smaller side, so the product feels nice on the skin and I noticed no irritation. My skin did look glowy and exfoliated after use, but I did notice it dried my skin out a little. This was managed through using a nice hydrating moisturiser afterward however. This is my favourite product from the range, but I'm unsure if I would repurchase again. I would rather look for a similar product without the overwhelming fragrance.

My skin does well with very gentle exfoliation, so this one seemed slightly harsh for me in the first instance. The product had a tight and clean feel after use, which I wasn't particularly fond of. However, that being said, the product did work as it tended to wash away some of those stubborn blackheads lurking around the nose area and my skin did resurface with slightly smaller pores, which was great! The consistency felt more cream like, and it did exactly as the title says 'micro polish'. I enjoyed using the product as part of Neutrogena range, and over all would recommend this to someone looking for a micro exfoliating cream.

I am used to use two cleansers and scrub for my oily skin in summer but as this is a dual action exfoliating physical and chemical scrub with alpha hydroxy acids it is a plus for me as I got both benefits in a one product. This product has a creamy formula and mild fragrance which is okay for me but the scrubbing micro beads are a bit gritty, also as it has alpha hydroxy acids it can make the skin sensitive to sun exposure and may not  suit everyone especially to someone with sensitive skin. My skin felt smooth and cleaner after a few uses, I usually used it three times a week and A little product does go a long way as well. But I did not notice any skin brightening after a month's usage. I liked the product but would prefer something with finer physical exfoliants.

Although I was sent this product for review recently, I actually purchased it myself quite soon after it was released and so have been using it for quite some time. And I have to say this is my favourite exfoliating product and my absolute go to, and even better it is an affordable price point. It leaves my skin smooth and buffs away all my texture and flaky skin bits, without irritating my sometimes very sensitive skin. The packaging is cute and I quite like the colours but more than that it is functional and really easy to squeeze out the perfect amount. The one downside of this product is that after you rinse it with water there is an oily residue left on the skin, perhaps that is by design but as someone with combo oily skin, I hate the feeling of anything left on my skin. This is easily fixed by exfoliating first and then following it with a cleanser to remove the residue. I have and will continue to recommend to family and friends

I was skeptical about trying a drug store resurfacing micro polish as I have sensitive skin that does not do well with physical exfoliants. To my surprise, the Neutrogena Bright Boost Resurfacing MIcro Polish was quite finely milled and lathered up really nicely. I previously used another rice polish (that is much more expensive) once a week and this is one is a little bit more coarse and leaves a slightly drier feeling on the skin. I wouldn't use more than once a week as I am not sure how my skin will react to the fragrance in it. However the scent and lather does really help to brighten up your morning and your face does feel softer and has a slight glow to it after use. This is probably my favourite product out of the Bright Boost range and will continue using it to see if any of the hyperpigmentation on my cheeks will go down. It's good for a refreshing polish of the face but didn't really address any of the deeper problems like I blackheads and whiteheads.
