Maybelline New York The Colossal Mascara

Maybelline New York The Colossal Mascara Takes me back to my uni days. During my uni days falsies were so popular but since I was never comfortable wearing falsies I decided to try this Maybelline New York The Colossal Mascara. I loved how thick and gorgeous my eyelashes looked with just two applications. I did curl my lashes and used this. It added length to my lashes but didn’t clump up like some other máscaras available. I still use this when o want a lot of volume. Super affordable and does what it claims.

The Maybelline New York The Colossal Mascara is awesome because I find that it coats my lashes really well and separates my lashes without clumping them together. It also helps the makes my lashes look longer and adds that curled look too. It's very black and makes my lashes look like falsies. The mascara doesn't irritate my eyes whatsoever and is also easy to remove. I've found it comes off with just plain water and my fingers. The brush is a good size and isn't too big or too small. It's perfect.

This Maybelline New York The Colossal Mascara is probably my favourite. The wand is the perfect size and the mascara makes my lashes look so long, black and whispy. It is quite often on sale at the chemist which I love. The mascara is also clump free which is why I love it so much. I hate mascaras that make all my lashes stick together. I absolutely love this mascara especially when I need to buy a mascara on a budget and have purchased it 1/2 price at the chemist. For at least the past 10 years I have used more expensive mascaras as I always thought they would be better. But a makeup artist told me she used this so I gave it a try and was absolutely blown away. It coats well and I found I barely had to comb through the lashes after. It gives my lashes length while helping them to curl also. I would recommend this mascara to everyone wanting a great mascara.

Good basic budget mascara that I normally get 1/2 price at pharmacies.  This used to be my go to mascara for years. They would change colour or font of the packaging but formula was having more or less same effect on my average lashes. They are light in colour so almost invisible. Wearing this mascara makes them look longer. Lasts me all day without flaking , does not clump and makes my lashes look longer, not that much thicker (I wear only one coat, as more is just too much for me...love lengthening effect ). The wand is big, good enough for my eye size (average to bigger a bit and round). Formula is easy to remove with water. Interestingly it holds superbly on humid weather .

I’ve purchased this mascara a few times because it’s great at creating super huge, black dramatic lashes. It’s quite affordable and easy to find in a lot of stores. The brush is big too with long widely spaced bristles. The main drawback is that it is prone to a bit of clumping and flaking.

OH MY GOSH - THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE MASCARAS !!! This is an oldie but a goodie product.  I have had this mascara in my collection for such a long time simply because it's a fantastic product.  It's so greatly cost effective, the product works so well, and there's no build up flakes and no transfer. 

It is a good mascara for the price tag. I used to wear this nearly every day for 6 months and actually loved it. Wasn’t heavy but I did find it was a little clumpy closer to the 6 month mark so had to get rid of it which I know you need to anyway they have expiry times once open people don’t know about

My go to! I am mascara obsessed and try them all when they come out and most of the time I end up coming back to this one because I know it’s reliable. Buildable- builds super easy, no clumping and as long as you wiggle through your lashes from root to tip with each layer the product will coat evenly. Volume- my number one need when it comes to a mascara and this delivers. I’m a 3 coats minimum gal and this does the job with ease without looking fake and ridiculous. The length it gives you is a bonus!  Staying power- stays all day. No flaking in the heat or humidity and last all night through the sweaty clubs and bars. Washes off with ease- no panda eyes or inner eye goop in the morning when it comes time to take it off. Micellar water in circular motion and your good to go to bed.

This has been me go to mascara for quite some time.  I try others but if I have a special event to go to, this is the one I use as I know how it performs.  The wand is quite big and chunky so you do have to be careful when applying.  I almost always get some on my skin.  I just leave to dry (don't touch it when its wet) and then I can just flake it off. I find it gives great definition without clumps and has a long wear time.  I generally use one coat for day time or two coats for night time.  Easy to remove at the end of the day.  Such good value for money and I find I always go back to it.

It wasn’t to bad, I honestly wasn’t overly in love with it to give it more than three stars. I found it dries out quickly and the brush is a little to flimsy if your not someone who’s very delicate when applying their makeup.  I prefer the two brush one mascaras 

I've been using this specific Maybelline mascara on-and-off for nearly a decade! It was introduced to me by aunties and cousins who all used it as well. It's a very simple every-day mascara that provides ample volume, lengthening and separation. Perfect for work, school or if you're just running errands. I usually use 2-3 quick coats and it's good to go. Stays on all day and doesn't smudge - only very minimal flaking that is barely noticeable unless you look very close. I love the fun and vibrant packaging too!

I am undecided with this product! I have been using it for six or so months and to begin with I thought I really liked the product but it only took a week or so for me to notice the crazy fall out I would experience every day! I would wipe it away at the beginning of the day and then midday to evening I will look in the mirror and I will have fall out all over my face again. I did get quite a lot of compliments and queries as to what mascara I was wearing. In saying that, I do not believe the pay off was good enough to excuse the excessive fallout. My lashes did look slightly longer and voluminous, the price is very reasonable. However, I have now changed over to Drew Barrymore's flower lash warrior mascara which is only $10 and it is absolutely killer! So probably will not purchase this product again but I enjoyed giving it a try

I have almost non existent lashes and I was so excited to try Maybelline Volume Express The Colossal Mascara. It comes in a fat chubby tube with traditional wand which is very easy to apply. Its colour is black which matches my natural eyelashes colour. the formula is not very thick which I like. It instantly gives me thick lashes but does not help to improve length. after applying multiple coats, it looks much better. I am glad that due to its unique formula, I can apply 2-3 coats with out making my lashes clumpy It last for 8 hours with out smudging or fading but it do start clumping after that. It is removed easily with makeup remover without leaving any residue.

I was happy enough to see this in the SUPERcrew kit as I am a huge fan of Maybelline. I don't much use eye products most days though as it is just too much effort to keep checking the mirror for panda eye disasters and fixing up the smudgings. I gave this a good  try though so I could give a fair review of it. The Maybelline mascara comes in a large bright yellow mascara tube with metallic purple lettering. the wand is thick and easy to grasp and makes application quick and easy.The bristles are thick and dispense the product quite evenly with no clumping. My lashes were a bit thicker,not noticeably longer and natural but better looking. the formula does not hold too well for me,smudges even faster than most. Had to keep fixing it up some days.  It is very easy to wash off at the end of the day though,but that may be because half already came off during the day!

I am a huge fan of Maybelline mascaras as they are great value - high quality formulations at an affordable budget price. The Colossal Volum’ mascara is a good product and I enjoyed using it. The brush is well designed and curled and added volume to my lashes, however I did notice some slight clumping at the ends of my lashes. I have very straight short lashes, so I always curl my lashes first before going in with mascara. The mascara also removes easily which is a plus - no scrubbing or tugging of the delicate eye area. 

So excited to get another supercrew review kit from the amazing girls at Beautycrew. Nothing better than receiving a parcel of beauty goodies that I get to keep, play with, then write a review about, it’s definitely my passion in life at the moment. I love Maybelline New York products so, so much. They are a range of beautiful, innovative yet affordable products that can turn a beauty novice into a makeup maestro. I’ve used and loved them for years now. Unfortunately, my least favourite makeup product is anything for the eyes as I’m super sensitive around that area, so even though I’ve tried many different eyeshadows, eyeliners and mascaras, from different brands over the years, it’s always the same. I start getting itchy, red and sore after just a few minutes of application and I then have to remove it immediately. Sad because I’d love to play around with different, colourful eye makeup products, I just can’t. In the interest of being a supercrew member, I did test this mascara, but only for a few quick minutes before taking it off again. The bright yellow packaging is fun and the formula is super black, which is always good. It promises super length and volume and while it was very black and applied easily and quickly, didn’t go clumpy or lumpy, I can’t say if it added extra volume or length to my lashes because it was on and off so quickly. The perks are that it’s affordable, bright and very easy to remove and apply. I can’t speak of it’s long term benefits because I won’t be able to use it again. Three stars only because I can’t handle mascara and other eye makeup products. Still completely in love with Maybelline New York.

Maybelline are the Mascara specialists and I have tried a lot of them. Like all mascaras there are good and bad points and I have yet to find perfection that meets all my lash criteria. The packaging is very bright and fresh and it is a great budget price. You can purchase Maybelline at Supermarkets so its also nice that you can pick their products up so easily and often on special if you shop around. I really like how tactile the tube is and I just love the brush. Loads of firm but flexible bristles that grab every single lash. The product itself is a mid black that coats the lashes well and I didn't have any major clumping or stickiness to deal with. I felt a little sensitivity though and my eyes were a little watery on application but settled when the product dried. The result was good and I would consider this mascara great for everyday use, it had decent staying power and there was no panda eyes or fall out through the day. I wouldn't recommend for sensitive eyes but overall I felt my lashes looked full and framed my eyes.  

I've seen this mascara on the tv a lot so I was really looking forward to trying this mascara. The brush is really cool, it's so big and I apply one layer for a normal day and after an hour or so, I've got some panda eyes which is really annoying but after cleaning that up, it lasts for a long time. Next time, I apply a few coats and I am getting a few clumps but other than that, the mascara is ok.

For a drugstore mascara (although a little pricier than some others available), this is a decent product. It's easy to use, build able, and wears fairly well. Unfortunately for me, I have sensitive eyes and I have a lot of trouble with mascaras, especially after wearing them for extended periods of time. Once the product starts to breakdown, which was around lunchtime for me for this mascara, my eyes become really agitated and I have to remove the mascara completely. I've recently switched to tubular mascara, which I am having better luck with. So I wouldn't recommend for anyone with sensitive eyes, but for lovers of drugstore mascaras, this would be worth a try :)
