Good product. The two in one feature is really great. Very easy to apply and gel sets in very quickly. Gel sets in very well giving nice look. I was wondered with its long lasting quality as it stays until i removed it. The color goes really well with my brow and it gives a natural look. I use it for everyday base and amazed with the brow look it gave. As it comes in two in one pack, i must say its very handy. Doesnt take much time to apply and it perfectly finishes the look. Perfect for the begginners as its very easy to apply and gel finish gives the perfect look.

Very user friendly and convenient, long lasting, but requires a light hand! The pen side is very pigmented and precise for fine lines to achieve the most natural look and the clear gel keeps all the hairs in spot! I have also used the gel on its own when in a rush and it helped my eyebrows look a lot more put together. The only reason it’s not 5 stars it’s because if you are not careful and take your time with the pen you can quickly overdo it which has happened to me on the first use as I wasn’t using a pen of this sort so far.However I will note that since receiving this product I have reached for it daily and it has replaced my more high end product. I definitely recommend it!

The product was very easy to apply especially for filling in little gaps in the brow. There was no fade in the product, very long-lasting throughout the day. The shade I trialled was 257 Medium Brown. The shade seemed to be lighter than my other medium brown brow products, therefore it was a bit light to use on more bare parts around the brow, such as extending the end of the brow, and had to be used along with other darker products. Despite being lighter in shade, it indeed delivered a very natural result. The product was very buildable with colour, so even though it was lighter in colour, I was able to go over the product a few times to make it darker without having to worry that it would look stiff. The two-in-one design definitely makes a difference compared to similar products in the market. And the overall product was very beginner-friendly in filling in sparse areas of the brow, very hard to go heavy hand on it! I particularly enjoyed the pen tip as it helped to precisely extend along the brows. The brow product was the most long-lasting out of my other brow products, which are mostly in powder, crayon and pencil form. The product dries down within seconds upon application and lasts through the day! I particularly enjoyed the fine tip balanced with the natural shade, so it was easy to apply without making any mistakes. The two-in-one design of having a brow gel on the other end was something that stood out to me and was convenient for travelling. I would most certainly repurchase this brow product as I imagine it would be a perfect product especially for hotter, sweaty seasons. The longevity and fine tip of the product really caught me in!

The Maybelline Build a Brow product is a fabulous two in one product that I have thoroughly enjoyed having in my make up kit the last few weeks. Such an easy product to apply, I absolutely love the fine tip of the brow wand to create small natural feathery lines rather than the thick smudgy you often get by using a standard brow pencil. I also really loved that it’s a two in one product, so very easy to throw in the handbag and reach for if you just need to do a touch up. The gel was great, easy to apply and kept my brows in place all day. The colour I trialled was Medium Brown which was a great match for my fairish/blonde complexion and looked very natural. Overall I think this is a great product to have on hand and very easy to use to create a natural brow. My only concern would perhaps be, how long it may last for but so far a few months in and it’s still holding up well!

I tried the shade deep brown and was amazed at the result. I liked the thin application pen as it allowed me to fill in the brows and apply hair brush strokes so it looked natural. For me it gave definition and helped define the brow line. It dried easily and did not smudge throughout the day. I loved the clear sealing gel as it allowed me to brush my brows up and keep everything in place to seal the hairs in one place. I am a huge fan and would recommend! I loved the overall natural look achieved from this product.

Wow, just wow! This 2-in1 brow pen and gel is a total game changer. Out of all the brow products that I've tried, this one is by far the best. I have very thin and light eyebrows but the liquid pen is so precise that I could draw fake brow hairs and make it look like I have naturally thicker eyebrows. I really love that you are able to keep on drawing fake strokes of eyebrow hair and build it up to how you like it. You could totally rock a natural look or bold look with this product. The products I used to use were not able to draw eyebrow hairs as finely as this one does. The gel end of this product is also a definite bonus. Once you have your brows looking the way you want, you have the ability to seal them in place to last the whole day. My only con would be the fact that you would have to get used to the product in the beginning. For example, to mimic thin natural brow hairs, you have to be more light-handed or else it will turn thick and dark. There is definitely a technique to it. However, everyone has different ways of how they want their brows to look so it's definitely something to try for yourself.

I can honestly say I am impressed! I have tried countless brow products that speak loudly on advertisement yet do not live up to their expectations. Maybelline again and again proves to be one of the best cosmetics companies by continuing to supply us, the self taught beauty gurus, with products that actually work! I would 100% purchase the Build-A-Brow again, flawless application is achievable by even the most inexperienced as I would recommend this product to any friend and colleague looking for something quick and easy. The Ultra-precise pen tip was a perfect fit, firm but not too hard as to hurt your skin when applying the product yet not flimsy either and make a mess of your brows, the colour was also very pleasing. As someone with strawberry blonde hair, finding a suitable brow product colour is rather difficult, most way too dark and even more that are too light or sheer. I have found the light colours are always drying to the skin or even a dry formula, the product becoming useless after a few applications. However I was quietly surprised with the ‘soft brown’ shade I had chosen, soft yes but buildable in colour with a few swift strokes, a product so aptly named! The pen did not dry out either which is a big tick in my book but I feel the pen tip had more to do with that then the formula itself, keeping in moisture and preventing the elements from reaching it. The clear sculpting gel however is another thing altogether and where Maybelline lost the 5th Star for this review. The gel itself I found did not hold the whole day and is a thinner formula then I am used to. Perhaps that is due to the style of the applicator wand, the short length and tapered tip were not the easiest to use and required more manipulation than it should to achieve the perfect look. Changing the style of wand to a thin snd long brush and with longer fibres would give the user a more even distribution of product across their brows. Yet I am still appreciative of the compact unit and the amount of product you are given for a fair price. Although I was and still am confused as to why they have put a warning sign, with the exclamation point in the middle, to replace the ‘I’ in ‘Brow’, don’t really understand the point or styling with that one? So I’ll give that a miss. Maybelline, the Build-A-Brown is an excellent product for everyone to use in a quick on-the-go situation but nothing can replace getting your brows done by the pros.

I really like the versatility of this product. Depending on how I use it, I can get a natural look or brows that are more bold and defined. For everyday, I actually use it opposite to the recommended order. The product states to use the liquid tip then the gel, however I found that this didn't give me as much hold as I'd like (my brows are straight and fairly stubborn). Instead, I would run the gel through my brows both ways and shape them, then add some hairlike strokes with the liquid tip just to fill in some gaps. The colour is almost a perfect match for me - I would recommend going up a shade if you're unsure though. I got the shade Deep Brown, but I would describe my natural colour as more of a medium brown. Only downsides to this product are: the price - it's kind of expensive, but you are getting 2 products in one, so it's justifiable; the hold of the gel - it's not budge proof by any means, this isn't the product for you if you need a strong hold; the liquid tip - it occasionally lets out too much product, but that could be down to user error. Essentially, this product is worth a try and I will consider buying it again when I run out.

I was given the 2 in 1 build-a-brow to trial from the beauty crew and I enjoyed the experience. Application was super easy and I liked the soft felt tip of the brow applicator. My brows stayed in place all day and with the clear gel, it gave my brows the on-fleek look. Very impressed with the staying power. No smudging either. I find you have to press a little hard to get product out but it is a buildable product so it requires you to go over spots or be a bit more heavy handed. This is due to the soft felt tip. It did fill most of the sparse areas of my brows. I do wish they had a taupe shade as this is the shade I usually use. The soft brown was pulling too warm/red for me.

I tested the 255 Soft Brown shade which was a perfect colour match for my eyebrows as a fair blonde. At first glance the wand was a fine tip but as I used this product over the weeks, I found that the tip no longer provided the sharp, precise tip that I started off with. This was a little disappointing. However, the colour match was excellent. I can see this product being very effective for users with sparse brows that need filling in. Unfortunately, that is not me. The clear gel at the other end of the wand was highly effective at keeping my brows in place. I used this end more so than the coloured side and absolutely loved the way my brows stayed in place. I tested this end in the heat and rain and the product still held my brows in place. I was very impressed by this. Overall, while this product was not entirely for me, I can appreciate and encourage those with fair or sparse brows to try this product. I think you could have some wonderful results with this. Works well to fill in gaps inbetween my natural brow strains. The clear keeps everything in place and the colour. But it's just a bit too much. Makes my eyebrows look like they are completely fake after adding the clear. Have tried to use less but very difficult to apply with the brush. This product would be amazing if the clear and rhe applicator is modified to look more natural. The colour matches my own great. Near perfect. The easiest match I've ever had. Great little addition to my routen. Will probably purchase again to fill in any brow gaps I have......

Maybelline build a brow has a precise, fine point brush applicator. Available in multiple colours and easily found online and in-stores. My eyebrows are black although I prefer to use a dark brown colour to help fill in, I like a full look. The applicator allows me to apply fine strokes to the gaps in my brows, giving a natural look. A steady hand is best when applying and the colour dries relatively quickly. I'm certainly not a professional at application and I am still working on my technique but this product is one of the better ones I have used. Once the product has dried, time to sculpt the desired look and the brows will set. No need to rush this process, the product won't set too quickly, get the perfect brow look. Once the solution has set, it stays the whole day without adjustment. Absolutely recommend.

Looove this!! The 2 step method makes it easy and since it’s in a pen-like form it’s easy to travel with! The 1st step gel pen solution could use more pigment and I don’t know how long it can last for. It also it buildable but once you use the 2nd gel step the pigment attached onto the bristle brush to give a natural finish. I think it is a great product nonetheless. I don’t overdo my eyebrows but feel like it’s missing something and this is a quick and easy solution. This product reminds me of something I bought in Korea. The packaging is similar but the solution and application heads are widely different. The Korean version was more like a tinted pomade. While this is like an eyeliner pen on one side and the other is like a gel paste. I’m happy with both the products but the price value for the Maybelline would win that battle! I’ve been using this all the time since I’ve got it and I am obsessed!

Absolutely awesome product! I have been using this for almost a month now and I’m a huge fan! It stays on and doesn’t smudge at all, and I love how natural it looks, so much better and easier then the brow pencil I was using prior. I would recommend everyone to try Build-A-Brow! I also love the gel that sets it, even after exercise and sweating I found that this didn’t smudge at all. Hands down is now my number one favourite brow product! This is the perfect product for anyone wanting to define their brows and have them looking natural. This has given me more confidence then I normally have as I used to use brow pencils and my brows would always look smudged or rub off by the end of the day. Such a fantastic product!

I feel like this a great beginner product or a great product if you're in a hurry and don't have a lot of time for your brows. Let me explain why. This product is very forgiving, which can be both a positive and a negative. It's quite a watery product - almost like painting with watercolour- which means you have to use a lot of product and press down hard with the brush to really fill in your brows. This was a negative for me, as the product is on the smaller side and I just don't see value for money. However, a beginner would probably love this aspect of the product, as there is room to play around and its light enough to hide imperfect application. This would also be a plus if you find yourself in a hurry and need a more forgiving product to simply provide a little more colour on the brows. Also, if travelling, this product could be a handy way to consolidate on makeup products as it's a colour and cleat gel in one. The clear gel was what saved this product in my opinion. It has good hold and texture, without being cakey or crusty. The problem, again, is the amount of clear gel you get isn't really value for money as it's only one end of the pen. I'd recommend this product to beginners, people in a hurry or people who are travelling and want to consolidate their beauty products. I found this eyebrow product average - good, but not great. It's not a product that I will personally be repurchasing.

The Maybelline New York Build-A-Brow product is a promising option for those seeking a long-lasting brow solution with strong colour payoff. While it delivers on some fronts, there are drawbacks which prevent it from being a top-tier brow product. While the formula was easy to apply to begin with, the applicator dried out too quickly and was almost unusable after one week. I really wanted to love this product as it had great potential in the first few days of use - the tip allowed for precise and defined brow shaping, and the shade was richly pigmented (especially considering that I have jet black hair and I tested the Black Brown shade). The colour had impressive longevity and could stay put throughout the day without smudging or fading. I found that the colour in my brows lasted even after I went to exercise at the gym which was major plus in my books. However, I noticed that there was less and less colour deposit from the applicator after about a week of use. Even though I had kept the cap tightly closed, the tip felt dry and the colour was no longer as pigmented, making it difficult to achieve the desired look. This flaw in the design or formula of the applicator tip really needs to be addressed by Maybelline to improve the product. Ensuring that the applicator remains functional throughout the recommended usage period would not only enhance the overall use experience but make this a standout product.

My eyebrows have forever been the bane of my existence. My hair tone is fair and as a result, I have often joked that I don't have any eyebrows. I do... they are just incredibly blonde and incredibly fine (albeit they seem to grow sporadically). So, with this in mind, when I say I personally know the struggle with eyebrow make up, believe me, I know the struggle! Let's start with the quick answer you're looking for, would I buy this again? YES! After many, many attempts at different products, I settled on the tried and tested simple eyebrow pencil and then if I was going out for a long day, some eyebrow gel on top. But let's face it, no matter how sharp you get that pencil, it is never going to give you hair like strokes. Enter the build-a-brow! A super fine tip and a smooth application immediately made me look like I had decent eyebrow hairs.. me! I loved being able to apply extra "hairs" where they are lacking and my eyebrows actually looked full! The best part was, I didn't need to reshape using concealer, it saved me so much time. What I would say though, is make sure you are gently applying the product, there is no need to press down or try to get more product out... Take your time on the first application! The gel application afterwards was a lot of fun, I styled my eyebrow hairs ladies and gentleman! It felt like they were not moving and I love that. No one likes a sweat removed brow. They did not however last the full 24 hours. As a busy mum, I am often either running to the office (I am always late), or chasing my almost 2 year old around and all the fun stuff in between, your girl needs a brow that will stay! But unfortunately, at the end of the day they were a little patchy (this might be just my application of it, and please note that I also do not use setting spray). The blonde shade for me was perfect! I often find that the blonde shade can be a bit of a hit and miss, not in this case and I am super happy with the price point. Does this compare to having my brows professionally done? The way it looks, yes I think it does but the longevity not so much. Overall though, big hit!

Absolutely loved this product, it was 90% there for me. The only set back was the actual colour, I found I was I was a shade between deep brown and black brown, so the colour wasn’t a perfect match for me and to me it was blindingly obvious. Having said this, in every other way I would use this again, the functionality of the gel and the fine brush is fabulous. Saves having 2 different items taking up space in the make up bag. I have tried a lot of eyebrow products and this is up there with my top two. The brush is also super realistic in the brush strokes, filled in the gaps perfectly and didn’t make me feel like I’d gone overboard.
