Maui Moisture Curl Quench + Coconut Oil Shampoo

There are so many good things about this product. First off, I'd like to say as someone who has very thick frizzy curly hair, this product is very well needed. My hair needs a lot of moisture or else, it will frizz in the first hour. With this shampoo, I felt like the moisture was locked tight in there so I didn't have to worry about frizz, even if I were to add friction to my hair by rubbing a towel on it to dry it. I was in love with the scent as soon as I opened the bottle. Unlike most natural hair care products I have tried, this shampoo made my scalp feel cleansed and it instantly felt healthier. Definite thumbs up from me!

I’ll start by saying I have extremely thick and long hair (down to my tail bone) I also wash my hair one to two times a week. I feel this product doesn’t suit my hair, the scent is a generic supermarket smell, but does still smell nice. After shampooing twice, my hair felt heavy and not really that clean. I was really hoping to enjoy this product as it’s so easily accessible. I won’t be wasting the rest of the bottle as I will continue to use it as a first shampoo and follow on with a different product that suits my hair better

First and foremost, I absolutely adore the scent of this shampoo, it's my favourite out of all that I've tried. It makes me feel like I’m on a tropical island. Secondly, I like the thick consistency of it, because I feel like it thoroughly coats each strand of my thick hair and it also creates a great lather, without being drying. I have curly hair that is prone to dryness and frizziness and this shampoo doesn't dry my hair out. After washing, my hair feels hydrated and clean, and when combined with the conditioner, it leaves my hair soft and bouncy. I will definitely continue to use this range and would recommend to other curly girls who need well-hydrating ingredients.

Loved trying this out. It can be hard to find a decent shampoo and conditioner duo for curly hair , especially with frizz and dryness. This was so lovely to use , left my hair feeling very soft and smooth even just after washing. The product smells amazing and actually feels luxurious to use. The addition of coconut is really hydrating and helps keep hair manageable. Very impressed by it and how affordable it is too. A little bit goes a long way even for us curly girls , this huge bottle will last me ages !

I have been trialling this product for a few weeks now and have found it to be great! I have very tight curly hair and have noticed that after each wash it has made my curls more defined and less frizzy. I love that the product is sulphate and silicone free as well. It's a very gentle product and works well with pairing it with the conditioner and mask. I would highly recommend this product if you struggle to manage your curly locks not to mention the amazing smell too. Great affordable product.

The scent is the first thing that hits you with this shampoo. It is so divine, rich coconut and fresh. Would buy again for this reason, alone. The product is very thick and rich on curly hair, but also works to hydrate when using heat products. A very smart (!) addition is the different texture of the product labels between shampoo and conditioner - one is smooth and one is rough, great for quick grabs in the shower where the bottles almost match in every other way. My hair continued to smell great for a good week, and was hydrated but not oily. My only qualm is in the written description on the bottle - some clever marketing: Sulphate-Free SURFECTANTS (so not 100% sulphate free), Made with 100% Aloe as the FIRST ingredient (reads as 100% Aloe to the quick-glance). Bottle shape is good, sits well on the bathroom shelf.

I really liked trialing the shampoo! It has a lovely scent and leaves my hair feeling super clean and fresh. I didn’t notice much of an improvement in my curls but I did feel that the shampoo was quite light weight and didn’t leave my hair flat like some other shampoos do. I would recommend this product to those who want an every day shampoo that leaves your hair smelling amazing and feeling super clean and fresh. I look forward to trialling this product further to see any long term improvements in my hair

Love the texture and scent of this shampoo. It’s quiet hydrating but you still need the conditioner. My hair is faily dry, Maui shampoos are quiet pricey but WORTH THE PRICE! They help with hydration, growth, split ends etc you name it! Different ranges of Maui shampoo. I don’t like the scent of coconut as much but this shampoo giving me that tropical holiday vibe. Definitely perfect scent for summer! Can’t forget how MAUI used natural ingredients. Usually when I use other brand, I always have residue and itchy scalp. This one doesn’t and it’s restoring my wavy hair. Great packaging. Great scent. Worth every cents. Easy to use. Results may vary! Mine took almost 2 weeks. Only thing I would change maybe add bigger bottle and shower gel! I recommend this for all wavy to curly hair babes! You will love this more if you like the scent of Malibu!

First of all this shampoo and conditioner hair care duo smells absolutely divine! It’s a blend of coconut and papaya - major tropical vacation vibes when you open the bottle. I love that it’s sulphate free yet still high quality, not too heavy on the hair and a little bit of product really goes a long way when you’re washing your hair. I do wish there was less plastic used in the packaging, or that it was recycled plastic or sustainably sourced etc. My hair feel lush and hydrated not too eights down with heavy products at all.

This shampoo wasn’t as hydrating as I wanted it to be. I have very dry, curly long hair and I felt that this product didn’t really add much moisture- or at least not anymore than other shampoos I’ve used. The smell is divine though - it smells like a tropical smoothie/cocktail and it lathers up nicely too. The packaging is quite pretty and I feel like I’m on a tropical island every time I use it. Would I purchase? Probably not. If you have normal hair then this would work just fine, but for my dry curly hair this unfortunately didn’t do much.

I really enjoyed using this product. It made it easy to brush my hair after the shower. The only problem with this product was the strong smell. It was quite overwhelming. I usually use more natural products, so was interesting to try this shampoo out. Unfortunately despite being marketed as vegan with the first product being 100% aloe vera but some of the ingredients are not as natural as I would usually use. I would recommend it to others who aren't worry about the ingredients in the products they use or are after a cheap but good product that works

We love love love the new Maui Coconut Curl Quench, we haven’t used anything Maui before and I have to say we are very impressed. Whilst I don’t have curly hair myself; my husband has very thick curly hair (Italian heritage) and our 3 year old daughter also has is beautiful hair, I obviously wash, brush, style my daughters hair it is always quite knotty and sometimes difficult to maintain, however using the Maui Coconut Curl Quench shampoo and conditioner her hair has been so so much easier to manage! It also smells incredible! I have to hide the shampoo and conditioner from my husband so he doesn’t use it all up as he is so obsessed with it (and the smell!)

This is an awesome shampoo - it left my hair feeling so soft and silky. Lovely creamy texture and it lathered well too. It was the first time I've tried the Maui haircare range, and I'll definitely repurchase. It wasn't too harsh and didn't strip my hair. It smells so good - like being on the beach in Hawaii. My hair felt clean and soft after I used it, and the packaging is cool. I would definitely recommend this shampoo to anyone with curls. It's my new favourite shampoo! My hair smelled so good after using it and the matching conditioner.

This shampoo surprised me! I have unruly, frizzy, wavy hair and because of this I usually use salon brand hair products, so I was very surprised after using this shampoo. Firstly, let me tell you about the smell!! YUM! It smells coco-nutty, and gave me 'island vibes'. The texture of the shampoo is lovely and thick and smooth which I absolutely loved. It foamed up well , I didn't need a lot of product, and it didn't leave my hair feeling awfully dry and dead when I washed it out. It was lightweight, but also thick, unusual I know, but somehow it works! The bottle is cute, a great size and sits on my shower shelf perfectly.

This shampoo smells amazing I love it but regarding the overall purpose it does what it’s meant to do, clean your hair. It’s not very moisturising and my hair still felt quite dry once I rinsed it out but once I used the matching conditioner my hair smells amazing and feels like silk. My hair texture is between curly and straight so more on the wavy side and this shampoo and conditioner left my hair so bouncy and volumized I was definitely shocked. The consistency is quite thicker than most shampoo’s and it was very creamy. I would definitely recommend this combo for people with textured or curly hair.

I've seen this product at the supermarket many times and wondered the quality of it but I've actually received this in a free trial so I'm very happy about that. Sizing is somewhat small this is probably for one person to use on a continuous basis we are family of 7 and cost wise $22 is a premium price for a supermarket shampoo although the quality is there it's just not economical for us. In saying that the feel and texture of the shampoo is luxurious the smell is amazing and strong but at the end of the day shampoo is shampoo to me and it does a good job cleaning but I'm more of a spend extra money on a deep conditioner or just a normal conditioner I would recommend this product for a single person but not for a family.

Maui Moisturiser curl quench, coconut oil shampoo smells like a tropical holiday. It’s is rich in lather and although quite thick and foamy it leaves hair squeaky clean once washed out. A little bit of product goes a very long way which is definitely a plus considering the size of the bottle is quite generous as well so I’m sure this will last a couple of months. All in all for curly haired girls I would recommend this shampoo it is very hydrating and also keeps the integrity of the curl pattern. If you have hair on the thicker side I would say to go for it as this shampoo is very dense and coats all the strands for a decent clean. With product buildup I’d say a double shampoo is still required.

There are so many reasons why I have loved the Curl Quench range. This bottle appealed to me instantly. On the side of the bottle you can find a list that tells you what things are and are not included. For me most importantly, no gluten. For a celiac like myself, having to scan the ingredients list for wheat extracts is nothing but painful, this list automatically brought me excitement. The Shampoo it self within the Curl Quench range creates so much foaming power in your hair that you can just tell you are giving your hair a good wash. The scent while washing your hair out being nothing but pleasant, yet not overpowering. Once washed out you can easily feel that the hair is clean. When dried, I noticed this shampoo actually helped tame the frizz that I would generally have at my roots and the longer I have used it the better that became. As it helped smooth out the frizz it also didn’t leave my hair lifeless and limp, instead it still provided good volume. All round this product ticks every box, from affordable to the hair quality it achieves!

When I first got the shampoo I was excited to try it, it says on the bottle that it is for thick curly hair, I do have thick curly hair so I was excited to try this shampoo. My first impression was how cool the bottle looks, I love the colours, design and thought the shape of the bottle was cool and stands out. One thing I did notice though was that it was hard to squeeze the product out of the bottle, I am thinking this is because of the shape of the bottle being rectangle instead of round? The shampoo is thick and lathered into my hair really well, I didn’t need to use too much product which was good. The texture feels nice and it made my hair feel smooth while lathering it through. The shampoo cleaned my hair really well, removing the oils and dirt. I love coconut oil so I love that this product has that it in. It’s so good for your hair. My hair feels hydrated, smooth and detangled. It smells nice. My curls sat nicely after my hair dried I didn’t even brush it. I would use this shampoo again and I would recommend it to my family and friends to buy. Also handy that you can buy it from your local woolworths or chemist.

You gotta love the smell of coconuts for this product. I know, it’s in the name but boy is it coconut scented. Not bad or overwhelming in the grand scheme of things but it does make your bathroom smell of coconuts. Not artificial though Super hydrating for my coarse thick hair. Makes it feel smooth and soft. Surprisingly the shampoo made my hair feel squeaky clean - I expected it to be hydrating and not give my hair the super ‘clean/clarifying’ feel. I like it! Would recommend if you are looking for something to try on unruly thick coarse hair. The consistency is super thick so it is harder to get out of the bottle, but a bit of shaking or storing upside down helps.
