Matrix Food for Soft Hydrating Shampoo

I love the matrix brand and this hydrating shampoo is perfect for my thick hair. It has a really creamy luxurious consistency and lathers up and rinses off well, full of goodies to nourish and feed my hair, it leaves my hair soft and shiny and really clean with little effort. I recommend using the matching conditioner for best results and to detangle and contain frizz. It has a pleasant scent and is really good value for money as a little goes a long way. I would purchase this shampoo again and would recommend it

I would describe my hair as frizzy/unruly and usually a bit lifeless. I received the Matrix Food for Soft Hydrating Shampoo (and conditioner) to trial and I was very hopefully that this would help bring back some life to my dull strands. I am happy to report that these products are definitely worth the price tag and then some. I have always been a fan of Matrix products but this particular range is perfect for my hair type. After just one wash my hair felt smooth, looked shinier and there was a noticeable reduction in fly-aways. After 3-4 washes I was receiving compliments from friends and family asking me what I was doing to get my hair looking so shiny! I will most definitely continue to use this system moving forward as I really think you get what you pay for with haircare and this is worth the investment.

I had trial this shampoo just shy of a month and this is my thoughts on the shampoo. Overall look of the shampoo is eye catching and quirky. I like the bottle shape as it is narrow to fit in my shower rack with ease. Squeeze application made it easy to squeeze right amount of product without wastage. The smell of the shampoo is divine. I found when using the shampoo, it left my hair looking clean for a day then by the night and next day, my scalp became oily very quickly. As the result of this, I tried to like this shampoo. But for my oily scalp, I wasn't a fan. Wouldn't recommend for anyone that gets oily scalps easily. If you have normal hair and not prone to oily scalp then is it the shampoo for you. The price point of this shampoo isn't too bad for what else is in the market.

My favourite thing about this shampoo is easily the smell. I found that it left a faint smell in my hair for a few days even after using it. I found that the shampoo did an alright job of removing grease from my hair, but I just needed to use a fair bit of product to do a good job. But once I got a good lather going it worked really well. Overall, paired with the conditioner, it also left my hair tangle free and less frizzy than with other products. I haven't used Matrix products before, but I am definitely keen to try out more of their products. I would recommend this range to any of my friends with damaged hair or issues with knots.

I trialed this shampoo for a period of 2 months and I have to say that I am in love with it. I have naturally very frizzy, curly hair that gets knitted very easily. It is dry and generally doesn’t have a nice texture to it. From the first time I used this shampoo, the results were felt straight away. The shampoo made my hair feel smooth and soft and had the ability to detangle some knots. After using this shampoo alone, my hair felt very clean and refreshed. I loved the fresh feeling it gave my hair when I was using it. The scent is mild and nice. Now due to the nature of my hair, when I usually wash my hair, I feel guilty because it is very dry and I don’t want to be stripping its oil away, but when I use this shampoo, I don’t feel guilty because my hair is left feeling softer and smoother. I am definitely repurchasing this product and highly recommend it.

Washing my hair with this shampoo is quite enjoyable. The scent is soft but nice. It lathers really well on the second shampoo, and feels good to massage into the scalp. I noticed my hair felt very lush after a wash with the matching conditioner. Dandruff has also lessened over time. I've already purchased my second bottle. I gave the Matrix Food for Soft Hydrating Shampoo a good solid for 8 weeks and I wash my hair 2-3 times a week. I have to say the Matrix Food for Soft Hydrating Shampoo was alright at cleaning my hair, just not great at keeping it clean. I have very dry sensitive scalp and have tried many products to try and help this. Whilst it did not fix the sensitive scalp it did make my hair feel very hydrated. It didn’t make it look greasy and I liked the consistency it wasn’t to thick and was easy to wash out. I really liked the packaging, the squeeze tube is great when the product starts to run low. Unfortunately though for sensitive scalps it wasn’t great as I did have to increase my frequency in washes.

I was given this product to trial for 8 weeks. My hair is very curly and was hoping this shampoo would ease some of the frizz. Unfortunately didn’t accomplish those results. However, I do love this product it left my hair feeling soft. I was surprised that a little product of both the shampoo and conditioner went a long way and left my hair feeling very hydrated! I received this product to trial. For reference, I have very long hair which is fine but very dense. It has a pleasant smell and texture which lathers up easily. I found it perfect for my hair - hydrating but lightweight - and loved that it didn’t flatten or weigh down my fine hair. It left my hair feeling insanely soft and cleansed my scalp well. I don’t know how people with very oily scalps would go with it though. Overall I have really enjoyed using this product and will continue to use it and would repurchase in the future once it runs out.

Inhave oily scalp and dry and damaged hair. This is not as hydrating as it is claiming to be and i have had better shampoos. I like my shampoo that bubbles more as it makes me feel that it really cleanses my scalp but this one does not enough. I am also not a fan of the scent but it does not bother me much. The packaging is alsoe very unique and os not like any typical shampoo bottle. Inwould atill recommend thia for probably with normal hair and not the dry and damaged ones. I would still give it another try as it might work with longer use.

I'm obsessed with this shampoo. It smells super lovely, sweet but also fresh. The product also lathers really well in the hair. I am in love with this shampoo. It is so hydrating and makes your hair feel so shiny and smooth. I have dry hair so this shampoo has so many benefits and actually does help with dry and damaged hair types. It also smells great. Another bonus is the packaging. The actual bottle itself is super easy to use and so convenient and the bottles so unique, different to all your basic bottles. If you have dry or damage hair types try this shampoo along with the conditioner and it makes the perfect combination to help you hair!!

The matrix food for soft hydrating shampoo is eye catching, with large easy to read writing, smells delicious and has some great ingredients. My hair is quite fine and usually very smooth, but after 8 weeks of use I found it had lost its shine and became quite dry and straw like. I do have bleached hair but have never found any other salon quality products to have this affect on my hair. I was a bit disappointed by the results and probably wouldn't recommend this product. It also has a quite steap price at $25 a bottle, but a small amount of product did seem to go a long way.
