L’Oréal Professionnel Absolut Repair Lipidium Masque

This was recommended to me by a hairdresser to treat my frizzy hair at home. It's like a thick conditioner that you apply after shampooing and towel drying, that you leave on for 5 minutes (the longer the better) and rinse out. It leaves my hair soft and smooth. I've used other hair masks since then but this one is the one that works best for me.

I’ve been using this since I was about 17 and still a must product in my current hair routine. I always thought it was great. It actually repairs my hair and is so good for blonde hair. My hair smells amazing afterwards and feels so hydrated and nourished & clean.

I love this mask! I’ve been using this on and off for years. I would use more often but because my hair is long I tend to use a generous amount and will use this in place of conditioner to give my hair a deeper and more intense condition. I use this in conjunction with the shampoo from the same range. My hair is regularly coloured and long so it can be frizzy, dry and brittle. This mask tamed my hair well and it feels so much softer and manageable after using! A great product! If I didn’t use this I don’t think I’d be able to grow it as long as I can without having breakage. Recommend for damaged, coloured hair. 

My hair type: thin, colour treated, damaged (dry ends) Having been recommend this masque by my hairdresser about five years ago, it’s a regular on my rotating hair care routine. Since it’s full of protein, I only use this in the last month of summer for a maximum of two months. Since I’m out at the beach and in the sun all summer my hair ends up horribly dry and weak so I use it to repair the damage. After using this, my hair feels immediately repaired, thicker, fuller and shiner without the weight. It always feels as though I have new hair again! It is definitely an intense treatment. Usually in the first few weeks, this initially healthy feeling wears off after only a couple of days, but by the end of the two months, the actual condition of my hair improves to the point where it feels healthy right through to my next wash (FYI: I wash my hair once a week). I feel that this product really does improve the condition of my hair, and not just, like many other products, coat the outside of the hair to give just the superficial impression of health. It is something that I do and have highly recommended to my friends and family – especially if you’ve got damaged and dry hair. TIPS - An important note with this (that I was advised by my hairdresser), is that as soon as the hair shows improved condition, stop using it as too much protein will make the hair brittle and break off (been there, done that). - Apply to towel dried hair and place a shower cap and towel over it to trap in the heat for better penetration. - Leave on for 10-15 minutes if you need super intense repair, but not more as I feel it dries hair out after this point. PROS Actually repairs the hair CONS Pricey for the quantity – if you’ve got long hair like me you will go through these tubs in a flash. RECCOMEND? Yes. Since I only use it for a couple of months a year, I find the cost is justified for the results I get from using it. For $30 a year, it repairs my summer sun damage, which is kinda priceless.  

This is a really good conditioning treatment. It definitely makes your hair feel nourished and in much better condition. It doesn’t weigh the hair down or make the hair feel oily. The sent is pleasant and in no way overwhelming. The only reason why I’m not giving it 5 stars is it didn’t completely get rid of all my frizz.

I first discovered this gem after a particularly nasty visit to the hairdressers. What I wanted was an all over colour and a head full of foils- what I got was hair that was so badly damaged that it had melted in parts and had plenty of split ends despite a cut as well. I tried the L'oreal Professionnel Masque to solve it at least help me with my hair woes after a friend had recommended it. I used it every day for 2 weeks, leaving it in for an hour each time. Subsequently I went through my first jar after two weeks, but I was so impressed with the results that 4 years on it is still my bi-weekly. My hair is unbelievably soft, and despite my length now being almost to my belly button , it is the healthiest it has ever been.  This masque came to my rescue and delivered it's promises. Soft, healthy, manageable hair once thought to only be obtained by the elite, now can be anyone's at surprisingly little cost. 

Due to straightening and blow drying my hair is prone to damage. I started using the L'Oréal Professional Absolut Repair Masque 5 months ago and have noticed a dramatic change in my hair. The moisture within the product is quite rich and h been able to rejuvenate and restore the balance back to my hair and significantly reduce the split ends.  This product has also given strength back to my hair and allowed it to be more manageable. This product leaves my hair velvety soft with a lustrous shine and given life back to my hair.  It is reasonably priced and if you use it for the long term you will definitely start to see lasting benefits. 

I adore this hair masque so much! My hair is quite dry and damaged so I leave it in for at least half an hour then wash out. It leaves my hair soft silky and smelling divine. I wish I could use it everyday it's one of the best things I've ever used! L'Oréal make really good hair products which my hair seems to adore
