L’Oréal Paris Infallible Compact Powder Foundation

This compact is ideal for people on-the-move, who need an instant high-coverage touch up for prominent blemishes, redness or marks on the skin. I can trust this to refine and perfect the areas of my face where foundation typically transfers, such as my nose or my chin, as I'm always resting my hand or touching them throughout the day. It provides a completely matte finish and doesn't feel too heavy. I have drier skin so I wouldn't recommend this powder for setting the entire face, as because it is matte it has the tendency to cling onto drier patches and begin to flake if you've built it up too much. However, applying this sparingly on my problem areas is enough to cover them for a good portion of the day. Another major downside is that this powder goes orange on me within a couple hours! I've tried to pair it with different foundations to figure out what's causing it but every time it brings out an orange tone after a couple hours of wear!! Ultimately, just to be safe I'd grab this up if you have more of a medium-tan skin tone, adore completely matte, high-coverage powders and are always needing a handy compact and applicator with you on the go!

This is a favourite face powder, providing long lasting coverage with a delightful, lightweight finish. Infallible Compact Powder Foundation is made to last - I apply it over any of my foundations or CC Creams, knowing it'll keep my makeup in place & melt-proof in the hot Perth weather. The texture is divine - L'oreal manage to combine function with a powder that is so lightweight & finely textured, you can barely notice you're wearing it.  It never looks like I'm wearing powder, and it never gets patchy, cakey, or settles into fine-lines. There's only a few shades, but they are quite neutral & I know easily found a perfect match for my skin tone. I can never notice I'm wearing mine, except that my makeup won't budge & isn't melting or slipping. Highly recommended - for the price, this feels like it cost 3 x as much.

I usually tend to use a foundation and powder. With this product I just use the powder and I find the coverage really good. I have found since not using a foundation as well my skin is more clear and free from open pores. I would recommend this powder as it stays on for quite a few hours without reapplying. I don't know about it staying on for 24 hours but I would say about 5 hours. Really worth the price. Good product/

The powder comes in a square transparent plastic compact with separate portion of puff/sponge and mirror inside. The sponge was just a normal one, not so impressive.   The powder is fragrace free and it has silky,  finely milled texture.  It is also very pigmented, a soft touch to the powder is enough for use. I applied it with its puff and gave me silky, velvety and flaw less skin. It did not settle into fine lines and pores and did not emphasis dry patches of my skin. It perfectly blended into my skin, did not look chalky and artificial. I used it alone with out foundation but it gave me perfect skin with out looking fancy powdery. Its staying power is not as long as it claims, you will need touch-ups if you have oily skin. On my dry to normal skin, it lasts for up to 7 hours. I like with this powder, this is one of the best powders I have ever used. The only problem is its packing, as most of the women keep face powder in their hand bags for touch-ups but this powder has very delicate packing. It can easily break in your bag. I wish this powder comes in a strong sleek packing This powder will be for you If you have normal, dry, combination or mature skin. This product is not for you if you have oily skin and you live in a very hot humid weather.

Though this is essentially a powder product I find it actually helps to hide fine lines around my eyes really well.  It has an incredible high coverage which I love the look of and it works excellently to hide blemishes, freckles or sunspots.  I like to use this straight over the top of my moisturiser or sometimes my BB or CC cream too.  This is a beautiful fine, high-quality foundation powder in a compact that comes with it's own self-contained applicator sponge and mirror compartment underneath.  I really love this added bonus!  It feels like such great value! I have this in Warm Sand which is perfect for me as I have strong medium colouring with yellow undertones. This Warm Sand colour  is a great match for my skin and therefore I  think this range has some great colours because often I find it hard to find the correct colour in other brands to suit me. I find the amazing soft and fully matte finish that this product gives my skin to be very flattering too.  It's not drying at all like some powdery products can be on me.   I also love the way I can also use the sponge applicator to strategically apply the product like a concealer - right around my eye area if that's all I want to wear that day instead of a full face of make-up. It's great for travel as it's a complete compact with everything I need to apply it well.  I can highly recommend this product for any age and for those looking for a foundation that offers more coverage than most.
