Lightweight shampoo that gently but thoroughly cleans hair. My hair also doesn't feel dry after shampooing twice - where with other products, leaves my hair feeling stripped of any goodness. This shampoo smelt delightful and did a great job cleaning my hair. Unlike a few other shampoos I’ve been using recently, it foamed up easily and a little went a long way, making the hair washing process super quick and easy. It also gave my scalp a really good clean and helped combat some flakiness. I have thick, frizzy hair and this shampoo suited my hair type perfectly. Since using it, I’ve noticed far fewer flyaways and tangles. My hair feels really soft, nourished and healthy. The shampoo also pairs wonderfully with the conditioner and argan oil hair mask.

I haven’t used supermarket shampoos in a very long time so I was pleasantly surprised with how much the quality has improved! I have long, wavy hair that is damaged and dry due to colouring and styling. This shampoo definitely helped with manageability and frizz reduction. The scent was lovely too without being overpowering, it was light and fresh. My hair is very thick and I did need to shampoo it about 3 times each time to ensure I cleaned it properly. I would probably use a clarifying shampoo first however for the purpose of this review, I wanted to see how the shampoo cleansed on it’s own.

I love how the formula doesn't include any sulphates, silicones and colourants; is PETA cruelty-free; contains real botanicals with healthy antioxidants; and also safe for coloured hair. I also think it's really cool that the product is "endorsed by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew - a world-leading authority on plants." This was all packaged into an aesthetically pleasing and well designed 400ml bottle. When a shampoo is free from "nasties", specifically sulphates, it's a lot harder to work up a lather. I always find it effective to use approximately a 20c piece to initially cleanse my scalp. I then go in with a smaller amount for my second cleanse, and find that the shampoo lathers and spreads more effectively for that "deeper clean". Using this ratio and method helps get more applications out of my shampoo. I really enjoyed the consistency of this product; my hair felt well cleansed and remained gently nourished. It was also a great addition that incorporated sensory pleasure to my showering experience. By the end, (me AND) my hair smelt and felt great! Especially in conjunction with Herbal Essences' Potent Aloe & Avocado Oil Nourishing Conditioner / Argan Oil Hair Mask for Repair.

Love the smell of this shampoo. The packaging is great size larger than expected and only need to use a small amount. While the smell was initially strong this reduced to not be too overpowering but lasted for for a while. While only a small amount is required I did have to use the shampoo twice to start foaming but cleaned hair well when used. Loved the fresh smelling and clean hair used this every second day to keep hair fresh and renewed. Great brand and lovely renewing shampoo which is great to use with conditioner and hair mask.

I have had the pleasure of trialling the Herbal Essences Potent Aloe & Avocado Shampoo and conditioner for the past few weeks. First things first, the fragrance! It smells like summer in a bottle, like a holiday has been packaged up - heavenly! I loved lathering this shampoo up in the morning every other day and it rinsed out with ease. After conditioning, my hair was left feeling soft, bouncy and silky smooth. An added bonus is that the fragrance sticks around all day. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone with dull and dry hair wanting a boost!

To start off with the packaging is great. Ita a good sized bottle and it's easy to open with wet hands. The shampoo is a gel type consistency and doesn't foam like crazy when your rubbing it in. The shampoo smells great, its a fresh scent thats not too overwhelming. Cleans well and didn't weigh down my natural curls. It was able to rid my hair of all product and oils. I was easily able to get 3 days out of my wash. Overall a good product and I would recommend. Unsure that I would re purchase due to the rrp as I think that is higher than I would be willing to pay for a drugstore brand.

I loved this shampoo, I felt it worked really well to combat dull, limp hair and brought it back to life. The scent is strong a pine-like sharp but once washed away and towel dried it becomes a rather pleasant subtle waft in the air. I felt I didn’t need to use a lot for it to generously lather and work into my hair, a good 10cent piece would do the job ( I had short/medium length hair), I felt it worked for some of my hair issues like dullness, voulumising and adding a nice healthy glow. I would recommend this yes.

the shampoo had a nice consistency and the smell was much nicer than most other shampoos that I've used in the past. I liked the way it gelled with my hair, after use (combined with the hair mask and matching conditioner) it left my hair feeling soft and didn't cause my new curls to split. I've never tried (nor heard of) herbal essence before and so far have nothing but positive things to say. only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is due to the bottle being cheap plastic and the cap being hard to open with wet hands - which isn't ideal when washing ur hair in the shower - for the price of $20 i would be expecting a bit nicer packaging. overall i think its a good shampoo and gets the job done well but likey wouldn't buy again unless on sale.

Yet another great product form Herbal Essences. Contains two my most favorite skin and hair nourishment ingredients so definitely am a bit inclined towards it. But this product delivers it all given that I have really frizzy and tangled up hair. the jelly like texture is amazing for feel and It smells heavenly . It makes the whole bathing experience beautiful and leave my hair soft, smooth and frizz free. Also, a little amount will do the magic and you do not need a handful. Because its free from any parabens , chemicals, it is definitely a great pick for this price. Highly recommended.

This shampoo is my new go to! It gives a really deep clean on the scalp and leaves your hair feeling fresh. It is non-oily and the scent is beautiful. The packaging is sleek and typical of herbal essences. The ingredients are very good quality and the no nasties formula is what really attracts me to the shampoo. It’s foams up nicely and is very easy to use, making it a very pleasant in shower experience. I would recommend it to anyone who feels that they need a shampoo that can get right down to the scalp, while still being gentle and not stripping the hair.

I liked the smell of this shampoo, it was really nice and fresh. It lathers well and felt like it did a good job cleaning my hair. I had to use it twice when my hair was especially dirty. My hair looked and felt pretty good after using this shampoo. Not A huge difference from its usual texture but I did notice that after air drying it looked pretty manageable and not too frizzy or flat. A great value option when you don’t want to splurge on shampoo but need something that works well and will leave your hair feeling. Ice.

Used this shampoo followed by conditioner or mask in the same range (alternating each) a few times now and it’s a lovely range. I have fine hair but lots of it, so considered thick and hard to find a shampoo that suits my hair type. This range leaves my hair feeling clean without weighing hair down and adds shine. Unfortunately scent was a bit too strong for me as I prefer something not as perfumed but lovely nonetheless. I also had some skin irritation following use but not 100% sure if this product caused it.

Herbal essences seems to be a good brand everyone knows the name the package looked amazing and the smell was even better i thought it was going to be great I had high hopes with this brand since they have been around for a very long time now but it instantly made my hair all knotty and dry I didn't like it at all it didn't feel nourishing or amazing it just felt like it stripped my hair of all the good stuff and left it horrible Maybe i just have a different hair type then this shampoo needed but my hair is fairly normal I thought so not sure maybe its something they've added but if it works for you amazing I was hoping it was going to be my new go to but sadly not for me

I have previously used other shampoos in this bio:renew range, so was excited to try this version with Avocado Oil and Aloe. It did not disappoint. Firstly, like the rest in the range I love the features - it is sulphate-free shampoo, cruelty-free, silicone free, colourant free, and has great ingredients. I like that the bottle is also recyclable. The Avocado and Aloe feels like an extremely nourishing combo, and smells divine. It left my hair feeling extremely clean but not stripped of its natural oils. For this price point the bottle is extremely generous - especially when on sale. I love this range, and am excited to continue using the different ingredient combinations.

I really like the scent of this shampoo. I have thick and extremely damaged hair and usually have a hard time finding products that are suitable but this aloe and avocado shampoo actually worked well with my hair, made it feel clean, smell clean and I was able to run my fingers through my hair afterwards. I would recommend this shampoo to anyone looking for a quality product at an affordable price. The packaging is appealing and looks nice. And the conditioner bottle has a star cut out so the conditioner comes out star shaped which I thought was a really nice touch. All in all this is a great product and I would have no issues recommending this to my friends and family.

Love this product. Comes in a great large bottle and the design on it is minimalistic! Allows you to see the benefits of this Herbal Essences shampoo easily compared to other types and brands. First time using it, when I poured some into my hand the smell was divine. It made my hair smell amazing but unfortunately, it did not stay for too long. The next day it was slightly smellable. It has also helped smooth my scalp. It has always been hot and dry. Ben trying to find a solution for my scalp for ages and this product has hep a decent amount.

To start, this shampoo has a lovely sweet smell. Definitely one of the best smelling shampoos i have used. My hair felt so soft even after using just the shampoo. The product develops a very nice lather and coats the hair nicely. My hair felt soft and clean after using this product but didn’t leave it dry which is a bonus. I did find that my hair did get oily faster than it normally does. Overall i found my hair feeling fresh and light, might just need to wash my hair more often. Definitely would recommend if you looking for a nice smelling product.

I have been struggling with dry, damaged over processed hair for quite a while due to bleaching. It’s been hard to find a good quality shampoo that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. And well doesn’t this just do the trick!!! Firstly, the smell is absolutely Devine, it’s not over powering and lasts for a few days leaving your hair smelling fresh and clean. I have always gone back to using Herbal Essence for the smell, the way the shampoo lathers and the feeling it gives when your hair is clean and dry. Works wonderfully with the conditioner and mask! Very happy

I have been using this product for a few weeks now along with the conditioner and I have noticed my hair feeling much softer and hydrated. You only need a small size of shampoo as it lathers nicely and goes along way. I love the smell of this product (it's the best part) and have found that the scent has lasted for a few days making my hair still feel fresh, even after a sweaty workout! I also dye my hair and have found that this shampoo hasn't changed my colour or made it dull. This is an affordable product that I will continue to purchase.
