Giorgio Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Compact

I won this compact in a competition and was thrilled as it something I would never usually splurge on because of the price. However after using it I am converted I think I would save for this as it delivers amazing results. The dual purpose applicator is a great idea as I can have perfect foundation and a setting powder all in one for a flawless finish that makes my skin look incredible. I keep this for special ocassions, especially for being photo ready, great coverage and a professional look

A makeup staple that I can’t live without, this has been my go-to face setting powder for years since I discovered it. I use it every day and in my opinion no other face powder does a better job. I had heard the rave reviews and initially I was a bit skeptical at first and a bit hesitant on splurging given the price. However the quality makes it a worthwhile investment.   PRODUCT The powder is finely milled perfection. It applies like a dream with a silky weightless feel. It is a two in one product and can be used as both a foundation and a setting powder. The dual use applicator has two sides, the beige side when using it as a setting powder and the black side for use as a lightweight foundation. I have found the product to be easily blendable and buildable, so it can be used for a light translucent finish or for greater coverage if required.   I have mature skin, with a few skint exture issues and the powder sets my base, without ever emphasizing pores or wrinkles. It never looks cakey, flat or overly “done” and my skin looks naturally luminous. It also helps to blur imperfections giving skin a beautiful flawless finish. I have combination skin with a few dry patches and the powder never exacerbates my skin texture issues. It also has good longevity and sets my makeup so that it lasts throughout the day. I apply it with the applicator sponge whilst on the go, however I prefer to use a large fluffy powder brush to apply all over the face. I have found that there is a good range of shades, with natural undertones, so I have been able to find a perfect match for my skin.   PACKAGING Being Giorgio Armani, the packaging is extremely luxe. It is also very practical, being sleek, slim line and durable which you can travel with or pop into your evening bag. The compact comes with a mirror and sponge applicator to make touch ups quick and easy.  I love the magnetic closure of the compact, and that it is a pressed powder formula as I never have to worry about it coming apart.   Overall, I would highly recommend this product as I haven’t been able to achieve the same luminous, natural glowing finish with any other face powder. The price point makes it a bit of an investment, however I use the product every day and have found it to be economical in that it lasts a long time.
