Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara

I absolutely love the Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme. This is, without a doubt, my holy grail mascara, whether I'm after a flirty wide-eyed look or a seductive one. I used to avoid wearing mascara because I found the ten or so different ones that I'd tried to be too unnatural or clumpy or damaging to my lashes. The first time I wore this and saw how beautifully it defined my eyes, I was smitten. I spent that whole day admiring my reflection in the mirror. Here comes the second best part: A splash of warm water was all it took to remove the mascara completely, no rubbing or tugging necessary. The best part? No dry or brittle post-mascara lashes. I actually think the olive oil and vitamin complex in the formula have a conditioning effect. The chic, elegant gold packaging houses a wand with a thick, dual bristle brush that is a mix of flexible and solid fibres that ensures a clump-free application. The mascara itself is fragrance-free, so it's perfect for people with sensitive eyes.  This is one of those rare products where the formula and the brush complement each other perfectly to create a brilliant, all-occasions mascara. The formula of the mascara, with its "three high-volume fibres", contributes to the "lengthening" and "thickening" claims, while the glorious brush lends to the "multiplying" claim. One coat gives me a natural, everyday polished look. A heavier application is perfect for the night. I do prefer natural-looking makeup most of the time, and while this is not one for a no-makeup-at-all look, this mascara always gives me a polished and elegant finish. True to its claim, it can deliver a false lash effect, but as long as I apply with a light hand, it looks more like beautiful lash extensions. Pros: - Applies beautifully - Versatile - it works for both natural and dramatic looks - Easy to remove with just warm water - Luxe packaging - Fragrance-free Cons: - Pricey - Tested on animals Tip: Repurpose the brush when the mascara runs out, those bristles are fantastic. Use with coconut or castor oil for conditioning your lashes or just to brush the lashes on no-makeup days. It really defines and makes the lashes so lovely, almost in the same way that boar bristle beautifies hair. I love, love this mascara, and I would highly recommend it to anyone - even those with sensitive eyes.

The Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara is one of the best mascaras I have tried and in my opinion it's worth the price! Firstly the packaging is very sleek with a shiny gold and a bold blue design; so it's a little bit of luxury everyday when I use it! The mascara itself has a very large brush and therefore it helps to coat all of my lashes in one, quick application. Although the brush is large it does coat even the small bottom and corner lashes well, but I suggest wiping any excess mascara down the sides of the tube as the brush does tend to pick up a lot of product and therefore can look clumpy. I was after an effective mascara to add more volume and curl to my lashes; which tend to be quite straight even after I use an eyelash curler. I was very impressed with the lifting effect of this mascara, and it certainly makes my lashes look fuller and adds a nice, natural curl. I usually only apply one coat to both my top and bottom lashes, as I find the formula to be quite pigmented and of course the brush is large so one coat is all I need to add more definition and bold colour. Since purchasing this mascara I have also purchased the Estee Lauder Lash Primer to extend the wear, as I do find this mascara can smudge a little by the end of the day. So I would recommend using a lash primer to help extend the wear of this mascara and I have found that this definitely helps it stay on all day with less smudging. The formula is lightweight and does not  look or feel heavy which is a bonus if you want to apply a few coats to build volume. It does a great job adding length to my lashes and it almost looks like I'm wearing false lashes...YAY! I have slightly dry eyes and I don't find that it irritates my eyes at all, and I am pleased that the formula is fragrance-free too. I  recommend this mascara to anyone who wants more definition and noticeable length added to their lashes, without the need for false lashes. Overall this is a fabulous all-in-one mascara if you want volume, lift and curl in one. Although this product is expensive in my opinion it is worth the price, as it delivers maximum length and definition to lashes. I think anyone who has short lashes would appreciate this mascara as it certainly does add noticeable length and thickness.

I love this mascara! After trying many different mascaras for many years I've often been left dissapointed and not wanting to repurchase many of them, this mascara is really good! + it comes in a big beautiful gold tube/container which just seem bigger and more luxurious than other brands + it has a very subtle high end mascara smell, no stinky weird smells here!  + big lovely brush that separates & coats all my lushes with ease (and I'm usually a huge fan of curved brushes but this one still works great for me!), no clumps or spider ashes! + lasts all day, no smudging & no flaking + BEST PART - so easy to wash off with warm water or any micellar water / makeup remover - to me the ease of removing my mascara is now a very close second in importance when choosing a mascara (after the way it makes my lushes look) - I have not really found any negatives, personally I really like this mascara and apart from a higher price there are no negatives. 

This is a really impressive high end mascara! Not only does the gold packaging exude high quality and glamour, but the wand isn't too big (or small) meaning the chance of smudging all over your eyelid is minimised. I usually apply this first right at the root of my lashes,and wiggle the wand as I move it vertically to the end of my lashes, creating a"falsie" like curl! Even better, if you're looking for a mascara that will not clump your lashes, regardless if you're on your 12th coat, then this is the one for you. It provides voluminous and extremely long separated lashes that stay in shape all day without cracking, smudging or flaking. However, I feel like there are so many cheaper alternatives in the market that do almost the same job, so I'd only recommend you run out and buy this if you want to splurge a little!

After hearing rave reviews about the Estee Lauder mascara i couldn't wait to buy... The brush was nice and big and didn't give any clumps on application, my lashes were  separated and looked great.  It flaked, it ran, it looked horrible. I did not get a full hour out of this before it failed completely. The next day i tried again, same results. Disappointed, would not recommend.

This is the best mascara I have ever used, without question. The first impression I had was beautiful packaging and a big round brush. The product was thick but not lumpy or 'gluggly'. The mascara sticks to my eyelashes easily and you really only need one coat of it. I can wear it do dance competitions with fake eyelashes or just on a regular day and it always lasts. You get what you pay for with this mascara!

Estee Lauder is the best mascara - have tried others but keep going back - particularly like the Sumputous Extra at the moment as it separates lashes, doesn't smudge & doesn't dry up. Bit expensive but worth it in the end.  Have just been to USA so bought a few as so much cheaper there.   Haha the lady at Saks 5th Ave thought I should work for EL as I knew the products so well.

This is a five star mascara.  It goes on and stays on all day.  I can layer it to get a more denser, blacker, more night-time glamorous look or I can apply it one coat for a lighter daytime look.  I never usually just apply this in the one coat though because I love how it gives me such thick-looking black lashes with a few coats.  My lashes stay separated but coated in the formula.   I can manipulate my lashes with this and increase the glam lash look by applying more of this to the outside lashes and brushing the wand horizontally outwards instead of forwards.  For the middle lashes I brush the wand forwards - they 'grow' before my eyes in seconds.  Some days I just really want a reliable long-wearing mascara - like if I'm going to be out all day.  I know this mascara will stay in place and won't flake off.  I've even tested it out at the beach and it doesn't sweat off or smudge off.  It's one very reliable, dependable mascara that looks professional even when I apply it (and I'm no professional!). This won't clump up and go gluggy like some other mascaras I've had  - it lasts for a long time and stays 'fresh' in the gold and glamorous tube.  This formula has a mild scent but only when I put the wand up to my nose otherwise the scent is not really noticeable at all. I would buy this again in when it runs out because it's one of my most 'staple' mascaras I own.  I can highly recommend it!
