Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting EyeShadow 5-Color Palette

I used to like Estee Lauder shadows in the past, I usually had those included in their GWPs and I remember their 07 Smokey was the best eyeshadow ever. Obviously they must have changed the formula of the shadows as I do not enjoy using them as much, however they are still of some decent quality. I have a quad that was available with their GWP and the shadows are in 06 Currant Desire ( a lovely pale lilac with a golden sheen), 09 Fierce Safari (yellow gold), 16 Vain Violet ( wonderful dark purple), 04 Rebel Metal (dark brown). All the shadows have tiny sparkly particles, they are rather stain in finish, but I can't really name them. Unfortunately, they are not pigmented well enough ( at least for my liking), but when applied on the eyeshadow base they are quite workable and they blend quite well. I do like the shades they are in, very "wearable". If on the base, the shadows will stay put all day long. I am not however tempted to buy the full sized products. A bit of a disappointment here.

To be totally honest I hardly ever remember to use primer before I apply my eye shadow, so I need a brand that is going to last the whole day without having to touch up. Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Eye Shadow, 5- Color Palette in Envious Orchard is magnificent. The compact looks classy, contains 5 powder shadows, 2 double-sided applicators and a decent sized mirror, which comes in handy for travel. I have dark brown eyes and this palette contains the perfect colour combination so I can actually use ALL of the colours (which is very rare for me). The palette consists of 5 beautiful colours and a fool proof application plan that inspires me to expand my skills and create new and exciting looks. Pearl shimmer as a highlighter, creamy satin pink (highlight or contour), shimmery silvery taupe for contouring, shimmery dark violet as the accent colour and a deep purple/matte brown as the liner shade.This compact offers different finishes so I am able to adapt my application to suit my age. I am really after a hint of colour all over my lid with statement colour along my lashes to bring me face to life.  I use the shimmer colours very sparingly and build the dark matte finish up to emphasis and open up my eyes. The colours are highly pigmented and blend beautifully with minimal effort. They can be applied wet or dry depending on the look that I am after but I mainly use it dry.   This palette is a little expensive but it lasts a long time and it is very, very nice! I am never persuaded by price I am won over by quality and this eye shadow is taking me places, 10/10.   Pros: Beautiful colour range Classy looking compact Non-smudging Crease resistant Highly pigmented Easily blended Non-flaking Long wearing Travel friendly Minimal fall out   Cons: Perhaps the price but it does offer a quality finish so I really can’t complain about anything.
