Review:
I decided to purchase this primer from Estee Lauder primarily because it contains SPF protection and I thought it would therefore be a great base for my beloved Double Wear Foundation. The primer comes in a small metallic pink tube and it's a bit more pricey than the average primers I tend to purchase. The product has a lightweight, smooth fluid texture that glides and melts onto my skin without feeling heavy, sticky or oily. It absorbs well and evens out my complexion slightly. It also provides light moisture and hydration to my skin so it's almost a cross between skincare and a primer. My skin is normal to dry and I don't have large pores, therefore I can't say whether this primer minimises pores. But it does create a very smooth and hydrating base ready for my long wearing foundation. I find my foundation applies a lot easier and doesn't crease into any lines when I use this primer and I use this product everyday before my foundation, as I do find it prolongs the wear and staying power. There is a subtle fragrance but nothing overpowering to irritate my skin. I don't have shiny or oily skin and therefore can't comment on whether this primer provides any oil control. I would say it adds more moisture than anything else, and I really like the added UV protection too.
Recommendation:
I highly recommend this primer as it has a smooth, light texture that is very hydrating. I would recommend this product to those with normal to drier skin types, who want a lightweight primer that doesn't dry or mattify the skin. It is somewhat expensive for a primer but I only need a pea sized amount for my entire face, so I believe it's a good buy. But if I had to pick one disadvantage, it would obviously be the price as it is a bit high for a primer.
Repurchase: Yes! I will continue to use this primer as it works very well and keeps my complexion hydrated, soft and glowing throughout the day.
