Estée Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover Camouflage Makeup for Face and Body SPF 15

I wish I could give this foundation 4 and 1/2 stars as I only want to take 1/2 a star off for having to work super quickly to blend this foundation. This foundation is marketed as a camouflage foundation and it certainly does that, it concealed everything on my face, uneven skin tone and broken capillaries. I found that you have to work quickly as this foundation sets on your face. I tried it with a brush, and with a wet makeup sponge and found that it blended out much more evenly with the sponge, as it seemed to gather too much around the crevices of my nose when applied with a brush and looked much heavier. I loved that it stayed beautifully matte and lasted through out the day and this was the same when I applied it with a primer or over a normal moisturiser. This foundation has a neutral scent and a little goes a long way. I would recommend this foundation to anyone looking for a full coverage or camouflaging foundation as I think it’s too heavy for a natural look although you can blend it out with the wet makeup sponge to a more natural consistency.

I absolutely love all things Estee Lauder. Having worn the same brand's Futurist foundation for many years I decided to give this a try for a change. It is great for its staying power and great coverage especially for me with pigmentation and freckles. Unfortunately I just didn't find it very hydrating and prefer a more dewy, hydrating finish.

This foundation is amazing for covering any pigmentation or red spots/under eye bags, you don't need any concealer at all.  But do not be fooled, it really isn't the best if you have acne or acne prone skin. The bumps from any acne that you may have will look a lot more pronounced than without the foundation and I found that I always had more little pimples when I got home even if I only wore it for a few hours. I don't recommend wearing it every day even if you have perfect skin.  It can look very cakey on the face, especially if your skin is even a little bit dry. I found that the finish was a lot more even if I mixed it with some liquid illuminator and moisturiser. There are also very limited shades, I found, which was quite disappointing for people either end of the spectrum.  The smell is a very strong clay type of smell, which doesn't go away until about 30 minutes after you apply the foundation.  Do not get me wrong though, I did like this foundation. The coverage was really great for covering my freckles and acne scars when I wanted to and it stayed on all night throughout nights of dancing, sweating, eating and drinking. It lasts forever because a little bit goes a very long way. If your skin has a relatively even surface, you will love this foundation. 

Years of sufferingwith acne have left me with hyperpigmentation and pit-type scars over my facewhich has fuelled my need for a foundation with amazingly full coverage. Ibought this foundation as the online reviews seemed to praise it. This foundationdefinitely covers very well, one of the best I’ve ever tried. Unfortunately, myskin did not appreciate the foundation like I did and I started breaking outagain and had to stop using it. I have super sensitive skin and wish I couldkeep wearing it as it makes my skin look so good, but I can no longer wear itas a foundation.
