I've only recently heard of the concept of a night time cleanser, but hey, if you can have night serums, night moisturisers and even overnight masks, then why not a night cleanser?
When I was looking around online for one, on trusty Sephora, I just had to go back to my loyal friend, the iconic brand that is Estée Lauder, it has not let me down so far, in fact most of the products I use in my twice daily skin care routine just happen to be Estée Lauder, and my skin is looking and feeling the best it has for a good many years.
So, that night after receiving my beautiful Sephora package in the post, I first did a quick wipe over my face with a cotton pad soaked in Garnier micellar water, then I scooped out a pea sized amount of the micro cleansing balm and slowly, gently massaged over my face. The texture was beautifully rich and creamy, it smelled gorgeous like lavender, perfect for before bedtime, and it swept over my face so well, in every nook and cranny, removing all the dirt, oil and makeup effortlessly. I then rinsed my face with a cloth in cold water, applied my advanced night repair serum and night moisturiser, and I was fresh, clean and ready for my beauty sleep.
Every night since then, I've used this micro cleansing balm and wake up each morning with fresh, rested, hydrated, smooth and glowing skin. It's so simple to use, the scent of lavender is perfect for night time use, every bit of makeup, oil and dirt is gone, serums oils and moisturisers I use afterwards penetrate and work better, and I wake up looking as if I've had 10 hours beauty sleep and a professional facial at the same time.

The Ester La user Advanced Night cleansing balm is divine, georgeous and works well.
The balm comes in a glorious round tub with a gold top that twists off. It looks so pretty and fancy on display. Twisting the top off a thick white balm is incased- the balm is solid and thick.
I just use a tiny bit on my fingers and on application to the warmth it starts to melt. The balm is easy to remove from the case and you only need about a 10-20 cent piece for the whole face.
The balm smells floral and fresh and isn't too overpowering.
The balm smooths onto the skin without dragging and melts onto makeup removing it all delicately and smoothly. On mixing with water, a milky lotion comes into play and cleanses skin perfectly.
The cleanser removes makeup, dirt and all grease from skin. All my makeup is gone and there is no pores. With a cloth and the water it rinsed off and removes every trace of makeup and dirt.
After use my skin is clean, vibrant and balanced. There is no over dry skin or residue. My skin feels smooth, soft and moisturised.
I do think this is expensive however it will last me over a year as I only use a tiny amount.
It's perfect before night products and for anyone interested in anti ageing.
This cleansing balm is a fantastic product. Not only does it cleanse my skin wonderfully, it also leaves my skin feeling moisturised and smooth.
When I apply the balm over my makeup, it feels like I am applying a moisturiser and then when I add water and use my face chamois, my makeup is easily removed and my skin feels refreshed and ready to repair itself while I sleep.
