Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant®

This is a fantastic product for sensitive skin, it's gentle but effective and as the name suggests suitable for daily use. It is a powder that needs a little bit of water added to make a paste, it has a slight texture but mainly exfoliates skin with it's ingredients like rice enzymes, salicylic acid and phytic acid which is derived from rice bran. I use it daily as part of my skincare routine in the evening and like knowing my skin is left perfectly clean and ready to absorb other skincare products. It's the most expensive skincare product I use but is worth every cent and their really is nothing else that compares, I've used other products that are gentle but don't get the same results as I do with this, their is no 'dupe' for this. I also like that their is a refill pouch and the plastic tub can be reused.

An incredible exfoliator depending on what you're after. The microfoliant is fantastic for exfoliation but does not have the power of the superfoliant that is transformative. The microfoliant is for you if you need to clear clogged pores. It is absolutely superb to use daily! An easy formulation to use, the powder only needs a few drops of water before it can be applied to the skin. After use, my skin feels so clear and clean without being completely stripped. I feel like I'm putting my best face forward after I use this in the morning.

This product is not just a want it's a NEED!  Before using this exfoliator I was really struggling with breakouts and blackheads on my nose and chin area. I was not happy as I thought as you got older that clogged pores were not as much of a problem. After using the exfoliator every day, my skin has greatly improved and am glad to say blackheads are now at a minimum. I found the product easy to use as part of my morning skincare routine.  I did struggle at first with the cost but after getting great results its a price I am willing to pay!

This is a great product. It’s so gentle yet your skin feels thoroughly cleansed, fresh and clean after using it. It’s not harsh like so many exfoliators can be, so there’s no risk of over-exfoliation which is so easy to do. My skin looks visibly brighter after using this.  That said, at least once a week I still need a much more thorough exfoliation than this provides. This is great to keep on top of my daily dryness and flakiness and helps keep my skin looking bright, but it won’t provide that more intense scrub that skin (my skin) does require every few days. But this is a daily product, so it’s not meant to be too harsh, so in that sense it does what I need it to do. I was just surprised that this daily gentle exfoliation wasn’t enough to keep my dry skin build up under control.  Also, it’s really difficult to control the amount of product that comes out of the packaging. Shaking the powder out usually results in way more powder than I want when a small amount is all that’s required, and given the price tag, I’d rather not waste any of it. 

I really wanted to love this product. As someone with very large and deep pores, I am always on the look out for a good exfoliator. However, after a month of use, I didn't see enough of a difference to justify the high price tag. I also found the powder messy to apply as you have to mix it with water in your palm.

This a fantastic microfoliant with poor packaging design. The product is everything I want in a microfoliant. I tip a bit of power into my hand and add a few drops of water, massage it into my face and then rinse it off. It feels really gentle to apply! It has not scent which I love and is gentle on my sensitive skin. This is the first microfoliant I ever tried and I can't describe how impressed I was with it. After using it my skin was the smoothest and cleanest it has ever felt. It had removed all those tiny bumps and uneven texture on my face. It was like magic! Unfortunately, I don't like the packaging. The open holes where you tip the powder out don't make it easy to get the product out. After a few weeks the holes had closed over with product making it impossible to use the rest. Maybe don't use it in the shower to prevent water mixing with the powder over the holes?

Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant is a super-fine rice-based powder which, when mixed with water, activates to release papain, salicylic acid and rice enzymes, providing both manual and chemical exfoliation. It’s designed to be gentle enough for daily use and hence I don’t have to worry about damaging my skin with this exfoliator.   This Microfoliant from Dermalogica is a wonderful product and is suitable for all skin types. I really love this product as it feels quite gentle on the skin and hence can be used every day. It’s a lovely white powder which when mixed with water forms an exfoliating paste, and then I massage it over my face & neck for few minutes.  After rinsing it out, my skin feels clean, super soft, smooth, polished & bright. This definitely helps the other skincare products to absorb better into the skin. Those who suffer from congestion will really see the benefits as it’s formulated with salicylic acid, Vitamin C and papain enzymes which really work well to clear up the complexion and also helps to improve the overall appearance of the skin’s texture.   I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a good deep clean as this Microfoliant is gentle on the skin yet has amazing resurfacing abilities and gets rid of any impurities & dead skin cells. A little goes a long way and the end result is just amazing!

I have been using dermalogica microfoluant for years now. This product delivers amazing results and I can’t speak highly enough of it. I like to use it at the end of the day to thoroughly cleanse skin and remove grime. It’s super easy to use, it’s a microfine powder that just shakes out and when mixed with water forms a sort of paste that I massage onto my face in circular motions. It exfoliates really well without being harsh. It’s great for sensitive skin, removes oil and leaves skin brighter and glowing. It is a little expensive but I don’t use a lot and the container seems to last forever so it does work out to be good value for money. Pros Gentle enough to use everyday Lasts for ages so great value for money Brightens and exfoliates skin effectively Is great for acne prone skin Minimal scent and is great for sensitive skin Cons The initial cost is pricey, however you don’t need a lot so it lasts forever

I love this microfoliant! I first started using this about 5 years ago and I have never looked back! It is a super fine powder which I use after I cleanse. I add a small amount of water to the powder which creates a paste-like mix. I apply this all over my face, neck and decolletage and gently rub in circular motions. I then rinse and I am left with beautifully soft and very smooth skin. I felt this immediately after using it and with continued use over the years, my skin looks great all the time. I have naturally oily skin and can sometimes have texture on my t-zone but since using the microfoliant, the texture has certainly reduced which means my makeup sits so much more nicely!  The powder doesn't have much of a smell which I don't mind at all. I would definitely this product to essentially all skin types as it is mild and not abrasive like a regular exfoliant.

I found this exfoliant to be gentle on my sensitive, dry skin. It can be a little messy as it starts as a powder that you add water to. I found it helped to smooth out my skin and reduce any flaky spots. It is expensive but you only need a little amount so it does last a while.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is A MUST have. The daily microfoliant comes in a huge 75ml container with a flip top lid- the product flips open and you just sprinkle a tiny bit of the white based grains on your hand, mix with a touch of water which turns it into a creamy paste and lightly scrub / rub your face with the product. I only need a tiny bit for my whole face- in fact 20-30cent piece of the grains is plenty- and remember it expands with water. (It is important to leave the product away from water/ damp- as it will damage/ waste if water gets into it). On application to the skin it smooths gently and nicely over the skin and i like to rub for at least a minute to receieve all the benefits of the product on my skin. Like most dermalogica products it contains great active anti-ageing ingredients including vitamin C along with papain enzyme and salicylic acid which gently microfoliate the skin's surface to facilitate penetration of the brightening complex and help dissolve excess surface cells. Due to the gentle action but yet effective (the salicylic acid/papin enzyme) every time I use this post use my skin is super clean and super radiant! My skin is left vibrant and cleaner as well as pores cleaned &  blackheads are all but gone! I tend to suffer from whiteheads that are stuborn more than anything and over time this product has all but eliminiated them! When using this product I have also noticed a slight decrease in my pigmentation- which is incredible for a scrub. I also notice that this product seems to balance my skin out- so its not tight, yet not oily, and not drier- it seems completely balanced- and I dont make excess oil! My moisturisers and serums absorb even better than before! The dermalogica microfoliant can be used every day- but for me I only use it once to three times a week- I find that way I get the best benefits out of it and im still left with radiant skin. There is clearly a much noticable difference in my skin. This product is just the best exfoliant on the market- its not a chemical one- so wont leave your skin irritated or red but definately cleans and gives you a deep down scrub. Im left with super clean balanced radiant skin! Leaves skin soft and smooth

I was lucky enough to get a sample of the Micro exfoliant with a magazine purchase and was surprised at how well it works. The exfoliant is a powder that you mix with wet hands then massage into your face. This has to be the best exfoliant I have ever used, and I’ve used a lot. It doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin at all and really helps reduce my pore size.

This is a revolutionary exfoliating product, although it has been around for quite some time, I believe it was the first of its kind on the market. And boy am I glad it was discovered. This product is perfect for exfoliating skin daily, its gentle enough to not irritate sensitive skin, but effective at smoothing my textured combo oily skin. The rice bran powder gives a great physical exfoliation, and the fruit extracts give an excellent chemical exfoliation, which i like to leave on my face for a minute or two to get the most benefit from. The product comes as a powder that you mix with water, which is what makes it great, but also difficult to use without making a mess, and you can't store it in the shower. The price is a little bit expensive but it does last a long time if you use the correct amount. My biggest downfall with this product, and most dermalogica products is the inclusion of lavender oil in the ingredients, which I have become sensitized to so can no longer use the product.

Excellent daily exfoliant! Dermalogica is well renowned for it's fantastic skincare - and for good reason! I received a deluxe sample of this product in an AdoreBeauty and when it is finished I will strongly considered purchasing the full size. For reference, I have very dry and sensitive skin.  I usually really struggle with finding a physical exfoliator that is not abrasive and does not leave my face red and irritated after use. I can say that this microfoliant does not irritate my skin at all - it does it's job without hurting my skin. I find that I can use it daily without any irritation, so it does live up to it's promise of being able to used daily. The way I use this is by placing a small amount into a bowl or my palm, and then adding a small amount of water to form a paste. I then pop into the shower and rub it gently into my skin. I then rinse it off under the shower. My skin is left feeling soft and clean, with no feeling of dead skin. I find that my skincare sinks in more easily after using the microfoliant, and my makeup looks more natural as it's not clinging to all the old skin and looking dry or pilling up.  I think the softening of my skin comes from the rice bran and starch - rice has long been used in Japanese skincare to make skin softer. I do also notice my skin looking brighter after long term (1-2 months of daily use). My hyper pigmentation from past acne seems to have gradually lightened. I think this is because the microfoliant contains pigment-fighting ingredients of liquorice and allantoin. This is actually really impressive that Dermalogica has included ingredients that actually work to clear pigmentation - it says that they are dedicated as a brand to quality skincare. The packaging is quite nice. it is sturdy plastic and it is easy to shake the microfoliant out. My only tip would be not to dispense it while in the shower, otherwise water can get into the bottle and make the product clump together (making it hard to shake out). Even though this microfoliant is expensive, it delivers on it's promises and it actually lasts quite a long time. I definitely recommend it if you are looking for a new facial exfoliant.

A unique formula that is easy to use and leaves your face feeling so smooth. Very gentle compared to other physical exfoliators. Doesn't dry out the skin. The only downside is that it is quite expensive for an everyday cleansing product but love the way it leaves my skin feeling.

When I trained as a beauty therapist, dermalogica was what we used a apart of of facial and advanced facial units. There’s a reason why dermalogica is so popular in the beauty industry (even more so with training). First and most importantly it has been proven to be affective, containing a high percentage of active ingredients. Secondly, it is so so easy to tranisition and incorporate the dermalogica products into your skin care routine. The Daily Microfoliant is considered one of the holy grail products of the dermalogica line as it really can be used on all skin types. It comes in a small, white, cylindrical canister which can be off putting to some as you may think it’s quite expensive for the amount you get. The microfoliant is exactly that. Micro. You only need a tiny amount and a little watering to emulsify the product between your hands to create a lightweight lather. Starting on my cheeks I like to focus on the area that contains the most congestion which most will find their t-zone. For myself personally, I have found this excellent to combat congestion on my cheeks from my rampant first trimester pregnancy hormones. When rinsing with water, my skin is so so smooth which allows far better products absorbtion due to the removal of dead skin. Like the product says, it can be used daily, but when starting out, I’d suggest weekly, then build up from there to see how your skin adapts to it. I have continually gone back to this product after being disappointed with others over the past 8 years and will probably continue to do so in the future!

This product is my holy grail... having sensitive skin that's prone to redness, I've always struggled to find an exfoliant that works for my skin. Dermalogica's microfoliant is gentle enough to not leave me red and raw but also does the job of making my skin feel refreshed and clean.  I'm obsessed with it... a must-have product for anyone who's skin-care obsessed!

This is a great exfoliator. You definitely notice an improvement in your skin texture even after one use. The product has a clay like smell, and the tiny rice grains give your skin a thorough deep clean. The pros are: Better skin texture, even after one use.                       Good for dry flaky skin, as it helps your moisturiser penetrate more readily.                       Fantastic for all skin types ( except for highly sensitive or broken skin as it has salicylic acid)                       Product lasts a long time as you don’t need much to get the job done. The cons are: ( this is why I give it 4/5 stars) Can’t be used everyday on sensitive skin, as skin becomes more red and irritated.                       The way that the product is packaged, in that you shake out the dry exfoliator onto your hand, it’s so easy to shake out      too much, if your clumsy like me, and you end up wasting a lot. I would recommend this product to anyone that wants a good exfoliator without irritation. I wouldn’t recommend it for everyday use if you have sensitive skin.

This. Microfoliant. Good lord. I had heard the hype that surrounded the Dermalogica brand but after dipping my toes into the water and trying a few products I cant say I was totally impressed. However, I definitely had to eat my words when this baby came into my hands.  First some background- My skin is combination/oily, it is sensitive, has acne scars, hyperpigmentation and is acne prone. Yep, you name it I've got it. I was worried this microfoliant would be too harsh, or would leave scrubbing marks on my face or cause one of the many other reactions my face has endured throughout the years of testing different scrubs.  I can honestly, hand on heart, tell you beautiful people that this is the best facial exfoliant I have EVER USED! Not only does it remove every scrap of makeup, but your skin feels so much cleaner afterwards, and when you first use it you will know exactly what I mean! What I love about this microfoliant is that you choose how much water you want to add to the powder, making it adjustable to the type of scrub you are needing. Typically, I use it in the shower with wet hands, pour out just a bit and rub your hands together. So So easy. Some people have commented that they did not like the scent- its kinda like a rice/flour scent, but I actually enjoy it, it makes the product feel more natural, and is definately better than any chemical scent. In just a few short months my skin has dramatically improved in both tone and texture, it looks brighter and I feel much more confident going make up free. To sum up: The good bits *Honestly leaves your skin fresher and somewhat 'polished' *Thoroughly cleans your skin  *Can be used every day *Formulated with Salicylic acid and rice enzymes while *Also containing Green tea and gingko ensuring the scrub is still smooth and non irritating *Travel friendly *Has a good shelf life *Only need to use a small amount each time  Any bad bits? I know it isn't one of the cheapest out there, but trust me people you get your moneys worth with this product. Tip I find this microfoliant reaalllyy travel friendly as all I need to do is pour a bit out into a small container and take it with me. I dont need to worry about messy gels spilling in my handbag or losing the product somewhere. All you need is a bit of the powder and some water and hey presto fresh face on the go. Overall I know I sound like a desperate person with a crush but its true. This product is my favourite exfoliant hands down. I wont use another facial scrub again. I have already put two friends onto it who are also loving it. If you are considering a good facial exfoliant where you can actually SEE the difference it is making on your skin I beg you to give this one a go It is absolutely worth every cent.

As a guy, I have a very oily T-zone and I have been looking for a great facial scrub that can exfoliate my skin without enlarging my pores or damaging my skin. My wife introduced Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant to me as she’s already using it herself. I found itamazing that the Microfoliant is actually just rice-based powder, I just need to activate it with a little bit of water before massaging it around my T-zone and face. I usually will dispense Microfoliant like the size of a 10 cents on my damp hands, rubbing the rice-based powder into a paste before applying on my skin to exfoliate. It is indeed very gentle on my skin but I still feel fresh and my skin is a lot smoother and brighter instantly after the first time I used it. Thanks to my wife for introducing me to such amazing product. I quickly bought one online for myself the next day. This is agreat product that suits both male and female and all skin types because it isso gentle. It’s formulated without any artificial fragrances, colours or chemicals that I can use it daily without worrying I’m exfoliating too often! The extremely fine rice-based powder works like a dream getting into all those tiny pores of mine cleansing them gently. After a week of using this, my skin is much healthier that my T-zone doesn’t gets as oily too. It is quite expensive compared to other facial scrub that I used in the past but the 75g bottle will probably last me a while as I only need a little bit of powder during each use. I will definitely recommend this to both guys and ladies because it is just purely an amazing skincare product!
