Softens dry crusty heels

This is an effective heel balm that I have been applying to the heels of my feet each night after bathing. I feels pretty softening and nice but I do need to wear socks afterwards because it's a little bit on the sticky side. The following morning my heels feel softer and this also prevents any cracks from forming. I have told some friends about this who have also purchased a tube and also love it. This balm is highly effective and works a treat on my dry skin. I really love it. It's better than a regular moisturiser.

Effective but sticky

I have used quite a few brands of heel balm's over the years due to my dry and slightly cracked heels. I've liked all Dermal Therapy's products so I gave this heel balm a go too. The first ingredient I look for in heel creams is urea - an ingredient that works really well on dry heels. This product has a high 25% of urea. Other ingredients include lanolin, shea butter, glycolic acid and vitamin E. The application is not the most pleasant, it's quite waxy and sticky and doesn't absorb, leaving sticky feet that you wouldn't want to be walking around barefoot in. I usually apply this at night, so it does feel a bit yucky to get into bed with sticky feet. However, it does work very well - I always wake up with softer heels that are moisturised and the rough feeling from dryness is gone. If not for the sticky texture, I'd give it 5 stars. It's a good product but not my top choice.
