COVERGIRL Exhibitionist Uncensored Mascara

Product was nice and durable once applied... but having to reapply at least 4 times to see any effect was troublesome if running late for work and having to rush.

I'm quite fussy when it comes to mascaras and I'm always on the lookout for a good one so I was quite keen to give this one a try! A couple of things that I look out for when choosing a mascara: how well the formula lasts, does it clump, and does the brush apply the mascara in a clean and smooth fashion. Unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed with Covergirl's brush. It collects WAY too much mascara, making it impossible to apply without either spending several minutes wiping away all the excess or getting mascara all over your eyelids whilst trying to apply it. This may be more of a design flaw with the tube rather than the brush itself. Whilst the fibres of the brush are actually quite long, because of the way the tube is designed, with a rather large opening, it doesn't collect the excess at the top of the tube in the same way many other mascaras do, which means the brush comes out full of mascara! It's really not practical at all.  Without taking off all the excess, it makes it near impossible to apply without getting mascara all over your eyelids. Once I spent several minutes wiping off the excess though, the brush is actually quite good, and the formula of the mascara is quite good as well, making it easy to apply several coats without it getting too clumpy.  I will also say that despite this not being classified as waterproof, this lasted remarkably well through the deluge of rain that came down over the weekend, so I was very impressed with that! No smudging, no transferring, didn't have to reapply or anything! Overall, the formula of the mascara itself is great, but the brush/design of the tube is absolutely awful. For this reason alone, I would not recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised by this mascara. The brush is a good middle size (not big, not small) and the product gave a great everyday look. I found it to be a little clumpy, but it didn’t impact on how it went on. I used this as my day time mascara. It gave me a great day time look. It comes off as easily as it goes on, without any unwanted panda eyes in the morning.

Overall a good product that does what its supposed to do. Keeps my lashes lifted and long through out the day without being goopy or flaking off and is easily removable. I find the brush shape abit awkward to use .. its abit bulky and lacking in shape. One that hugs the eye shape/lashes would probably be better, but am happy overall with the product and will continue to use every day.

I like this mascara and the size of the brush. I found that whilst it didn’t crumble it also took a few coats to get a good coverage on my lashes. I would be interested to buy it again and see if I have the same experience.

Pleasantly surprised with this product. Went on smoothly without any lumps, a very natural finish once applied. Felt extremely light weight on the eyelashes and did not irritate. Lasted throughout the day with no fallout, flaking or smudging. Easily removed at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend!!

I haven’t used many Covergirl Mascaras before so I can’t compare them but I will say that this is a great mascara for an every day natural look. If you want something a bit more dramatic you really have to layer this one on and in doing so I did find it clumped a little bit. I also wasn’t the biggest fan of the wand. It’s a really large brush and you have to be super careful or it gets all over the eyelid. Would I buy again? Probably not.

A great every day mascara! It was easy to apply and gave my lashes extra length and volume. It also lasted all day, and came off easily with makeup wipes. The only small issue I had was after a couple of weeks the formula was slightly clumpy.

Nothing special Great lengthening and volume of my lashes when applied. GREAT Black colour. Did not smudge when worn on hot days. Biggest dissapointment was how thick the mascara was, I like my mascara slightly wetter. I found the formula making my lashes look clumpy due the formula being dry and super thick..

I found the product easy to use and apply.. it was on the thick side of consistency and the wand held onto a lot of product. But when applied to lashes, it did not clump at all, it glided very smoothly onto the lashes adding a beautiful length and thickness to them, it double coated well and I’d definitely say it gave a more dramatic finish. My lashes looked really nice after applying this product, they had length and thickness added. I really applaud the product on really separating the lashes to create very full lashes I found the product very easy to wear throughout the day, it was comfortable and didn’t irritate my eyes esp being a contact wearer. I would recommend to anyone wanted a full looking lash with length and thickness

Was pleasantly surprised by this product. It came in a slick black tube, not too big or bulky for my make up bag. The product was easy to use, went on quite smoothly on my lashes and definitely extended the length and the volume of my lashes. I would say that sometimes the product came out a bit clumpy however so that would be the only downfall of the product! I found it lasted well all day and didn’t smudge or run. I usually have my make up on for 12 hours plus. Overall I would recommend this mascara as it is also incredibly affordable!

This is a great drugstore mascara. It is easy to use, and the brush shape is great for really getting into the bottom of your lashes and coating all of them. My lashes looked thicker, longer and darker after using the mascara, without being clumpy or cakey. The masacara wears well, with no flaking or transfer. It also removes easily at the end of the day. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a good all-rounder at a great price. I have long, lifted lashes, and this works well for me as it helps to thicken everything out and keep my lashes in place all day.

I have been pleasantly surprised by a number of mascaras recently, and this is one to add to the list. It’s nice to see brands returning to the traditional bristle-style brushes which provide you with great coverage while helping to fan each individual lash away form it’s neighbours. The formula did a great job of defining my lashes and definitely stayed put all day. I really have only one reason to drop a star and that is because the black is soooo intense. Now I understand that the point of this mascara is for your lashes to be on show, however, for my fair combo (blonde hair, fair skin, blue eyes), this black is just too harsh and would love if this formula was brought out in a brown.

This has just become my firm favourite mascara!! The brush provides three specific cuts providing a good grasp of every single lash (very important!), allowing good volume and no lumps!! This formula key ingredients are coconut and jojoba oils which nourishes and protects the lashes and lasts all day. I would highly recommend this mascara to anyone!

This mascara is great for everyday wear, it thickens and lengthens the lashes. I found the small bristle brush applicator works well for my medium length lashes. It was easy to apply one to two coats for a noticeably dramatic and dark look. The lashes look well defined and separated, with little to no clumping. It is quite a wet and thick formula with the need to wipe of excess product before first application, which once done is easy to apply. It does have a playdough smell but this isn’t too offensive. It is also very easy to remove later with cold cream makeup cleanser. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed using this mascara and would recommend as an everyday basic, vegan and cruelty free option.

A good simple looking sleek tube which looks nice. On first opening it did seem a bit dry, and I wasn't expecting much, however it did go on very well, and gave an even coat. It wasn't as 'boosting' as others, so not ultimately fullness but did highlight my lashes. Didn't notice any smudging, and stayed on - came off easily with cleanser. More of a day time mascara than night. Gives good confidence being not tested on animals. Would purchase but probably when on sale, a bit high priced at RRP.

I really liked this mascara! The formula itself is not super wet or dry, which makes application easy and not messy. The wand was big enough to make applying the mascara easy, but not big enough for me to get mascara all over my lids when applying. The mascara did take a couple of coats to build up to my desired look, but one coat provides a natural eyelash look. However I preferred to build it up, which provided a great curl, length and some volume (but not as much as I would like). The mascara wore well throughout the day and did not move with sweating or some minimal rain. Overall, I would recommend this mascara as a good everyday mascara if you want your lashes to look black, long and have some volume, but this is not the mascara if you want a full glam lash look!

The first thing I noticed about Covergirl Exhibitionist Uncensored mascara was that the packaging featured a model with natural eyelashes (refreshing), not one with falsies pretending to be just mascara. The brush head is bushy and the neck opening wide. I held the wand to one side when opening to remove some of the excess product. The mascara applied smoothly, it just glided on, was smoother than most. My eyelashes looked thicker and there were no clumps or chunks. It was nice and dark and true black. The mascara wore well. I have the attitude that it's always good to try new products as that's when you find hidden gems. I don't usually go for this style of mascara brush, but it works and I'm glad I gave this mascara a chance.

This is a good mascara to reach for if you're looking for a low key, day-time makeup look. You do have to layer it quite a bit, so this hasn't become my holy grail mascara, but I can see myself using this again when I want more of a natural look. It wears well, but does mark under my brow bones but most mascaras do that as I have quite long lashes.

Covergirl are the makers of my favourite mascara of all time (clumpcrusher) so I was eager to give this one a go. I love a bristle wand, so I was happy when I opened the tube and realised it was a bristle. The formula is a little wet, but not to wet, so it is easily buildable and doesn’t go very clumpy. Its not as volumising as I would like. However it is great for an everyday look. Throughout the day it didn’t transfer nor did it dry out and flake.
