CHANEL Mat Lumiére Long Lasting Luminous Matte Fluid Makeup SPF 15

This is one amazing foundation!  Most days for coverage, I'll just wear a touch of concealer and powder on my face,  but if I am going out to lunch, going shopping with friends or have an important meeting,  I like to make a little more effort.  As it's not a product I'll use every day I decided to splash out a little and buy Chanel and I'm so glad I did!  Here's why:   The packaging is lovely.  I detest tubes and love the frosted matte glass bottle with the gloss black lid.   It  has a pump which is great for hygiene and longevity.  It has a lovely light and airy texture with almost zero fragrance.   Goes on smoothly but with the 'matte' finish it does dry quickly so you need to have the blender or brush handy!   The coverage is medium but buildable which is a feature of foundations that I really like.   Although I purchased this as a 'day' foundation, I find it is equally good for evenings where more coverage is desired. The finish is silky, matte and luminous. A combination I never thought would be possible!   A simple dust with a light finishing powder and my makeup is done.    For special occasions, I'll use with a blur primer and highlight for an even more gorgeous and  youthful look.   What I really love about this product is that it lives up to it's name.  The foundation lasts and my skin really does look matte and luminous at the same time!  It's also compatible with other concealers and powders and did not seem to 'cake' or 'crack' as other matte foundations have done.  It's also perfect for day or night. PROS:  Beautiful good quality foundation that will stand the test of time CONS:  Only available in department stores.  I recommend this for anyone looking for a foundation that does everything you want it to do!   

This is by far the best high end foundation and I have tried almost every brand from Estee Lauder to Giorgio Armani to Dior. Cannot fault this. It goes on easily and looks flawless all day without needing to touch up, ladies if you haven't tried this you are missing out on an amazing product

Hey y'all, I am armed and ready with another review on a great foundation from such a legendary brand that is the one and only Chanel. As you may or may not be aware, I have mentioned a few times that I am on a seemingly everlasting search for the holy grail of foundations. One that will cover any blemishes, redness, unevenness, dry flaky skin and will still let my natural skin show through, last all day with no shine or patchiness , oh yeah and won't irritate my super super sensitive pale skin and match my super pale skin. Am I asking for too much? The impossible? Maybe maybe not but I will continue my search for this almighty magical foundation that I know is out there somewhere. I may have come just a little bit closer in this search, with the help of this Chanel mat lumiere long lasting 

Chanel Mat Lumiere Long Lasting Luminous Matte Fluid foundation is a wonderful product (with a ridiculously long name). I have combination skin and always use makeup with some kind of matte finish. I have always admired the dewy, luminous looks that other women look great with but have always shied away from them which is why I was intrigued by the 'luminous, matte fluid' claim and it certaintly lives up to it! Mat Lumiere comes in a 30ml frosted glass bottle with the iconic Chanel branding on the black lid. It comes with a pump which is great. It is an oil free formula that is silky and light. I was hoping it wouldn't feel any nicer than my usual much cheaper foundation but alas, no, this stuff is good! Two pumps is all I need for a full application. It glides on and blends seemlessly. It gives medium coverage and a natural finish. My very average skin has a healthy glow and looks flawless with this foundation. What I love best is it doesn't catch on my pores or go cakey which is what usually happens with matte foundations. I get around 8 hours wear which is fantastic. All I need is a bit of blush and I'm good to go. There is a downside to this product of course and I'm sure you can guess what it is....the price! Being a Chanel product it comes with a Chanel price tag. I still highly recommend this foundation because I love it so much! If money is not a problem for you or you feel like treating yourself to a lovely new foundation get yourself to your nearest Chanel counter!

If you don't have this, you need it. If you have it already, you'll know what I'm talking about. Don't let the price tag scare you away - this is by far the best foundation I've ever used. I have dry, sensitive skin but live in Queensland, so humidity is a big problem here. Not with this baby! Since switching to this foundation from a cheaper brand, I haven't had to re-powder my face once, even with 30+ degrees heat. Plus, it make my skin look like it's airbrushed so that's a big plus!!
