Cetaphil Optimal Hydration 48 Hour Activation Serum

I try lots of different products and generally have a positive experience but nothing that truly makes a noticeable difference in a short period of time. This product is different. Within a few days of using, I noticed my skin looked firmer, glowier, and more refreshed. Also if I skipped an application I still looked good later in the day or the next morning. A quick reapply and my skin looks great a few hours later. I work long days so this a great aid. I’m in my early 40s with a little one so I need all the help I can get!

After using this cetaphil optimal hydration 48 hr activation serum for almost 2 weeks, it is now one of my favourite products. My face use to be super dry and flaky. After using this serum twice a day my face feel so soft and plump. My fine lines have reduced a lot and my skin just feel so hydrated now which i love. I can definitely feel the difference. I also love that this product does not contain any parabens or other nasties. I am loving cetaphil so much right now. I will gladly recommend to all my friends and family.

Love this product. Cetaphil is a trusted brand and this serum is a great anti ageing product. It’s simple to use, I just smooth it over my face after cleansing then follow up with a good moisturiser. At under $37.00 it’s great value for money. It works by keeping moisture trapped in the skin to prevent it drying out and contains gorgeous goodies to nourish my skin. It also contains hyaluronic acid which is a great anti ageing ingredient so this leaves my skin looking more youthful. After using this for a while my skin is smoother and fine lines are less noticeable. I love this product and would highly recommend it

I have very dry skin this i put this serum underneath the accompanying daily cream. Looks like the cream would be hard to rub in but it’s really not it sinks in really well. Sinks in almost instantly. No strong scent. While it does help to keep my skin moisturised it might not be strong enough for my skin in the colder months might be be more beneficial to me in summer. No irritation as yet Love the dispenser I really appreciate products in a pump no finger in tubs or messy droppers so big plus

I have previously seen the cetaphil range at the chemist but I actually always thought it was only for people with dermatitis so I'm assuming they've maybe extended their line which is a great idea to be honest .I would have never picked it up usually but the cost point is very good and I guess I'm stuck in my usually face products like retinol and vitamin C for a serum . As soon as I used this product the whole day face just looked plump & dewy I never actually use any hydrating products in my Skincare I never actually thought that need it so when I use that I could feel it was a lot better then using the retinol and vitamin C because not only did it hydrate it made my skin look fresh and you fall which is why I use the other products. I would use this product all year not just at winter where I would think that you would use hydrating products

I’ve had to fight to use this one. Such a refreshing and nourishing skin cream! I’m amazed at how it seems to leave a barrier on my skin without even the slightest hint of greasiness or heaviness. It goes on so smoothly and the consistency is just right. Absolutely no sign of irritation on my sensitive skin, it has been a refreshing product to use as it gives me exactly what I need with the assurance that I can get through the day without skin tightness. The texture of my skin continues to improve as time goes on.

Gentle on the skin yet extremely moisturising. A little bit of product went a long way and left my skin feeling hydrated, soft and plump. The formula is non-greasy and didn't cause my skin to become oily by the end of the day. Was a great boost to hydration especially when used under the daily mosituriser. I have very sensitive skin and had no issues using this product. There is no fragrence which is great. I was using high end products costing $150+ per month and my skin has never looked better since using. The pump bottle made it perfect for getting the right amount of product.

Cetaphil Optimal Hydration 48 Hour Activation Serum is a lovely light weight un scented serum that is great for every day use. I applied it every morning and night after cleansing and before moisturiser. My skin definitely looked very radiant after using this product for a couple of weeks. I have combination skin, oily t-zone and drier cheeks and found that this serum was an all round great product for both my skin concerns. Loved the packaging as well. Easy to use pump with no fuss. Gets the job done. Would definitely repurchase.

I have been using the Cetaphil 48 hour activation serum which is apart of their optimal hydration range for over 3 weeks now. In a stand up bottle with pump action lid I apply approximately the size of a pea amount onto my finger tips and then gently massaged the serum into my face and neck morning and night. The serum absorbs instantly. My face still feels hydrated and smooth even the next day after using it. It's thicker than other serums, but for my dry skin it's perfect. It absorbs quickly, not greasy or stick. Also I love the clean scent. Without a doubt I would recommend this affordable yet results driven serum to anyone wanting a great hydrating serum that works,

Absolutely in love with this product, I have never seen my skin so amazingly hydrated. Packaging is simple and nothing fancy which means nothing as this serum product actually works. No smell or harsh chemicals which is an added bonus. I will be keeping this serum in my daily routine. Highly recommend!! The only downfall is the lack of description on the bottle as to how much serum is recommended for use. I.e one pump or two pumps. Coming from someone who has never used a serum this would have been beneficial but I opted with one pump and clearly in love with the product.

Firstly I wouldn’t really classify this product as a serum, it has more of a light weight moisturiser texture. It also acts more like a moisturiser, it doesn’t sink in as quickly as a conventional serum and has a thicker consistency to it. It is however very moisturising and in winter for dry skin types it would offer an additional layer of moisture. For oily or combo skin types I would say it might be a good basic as a summer moisturiser. I wouldn’t go out of my way to try this product, there are plenty others on the market that are nicer for the same cost.

I used Cetaphil® Optimal Hydration 48 Hour Activation Serum twice a day, morning and night as directed on my face and neck. I did not experience any redness or irritation in these areas. I found the hygienic pump bottle easy to use. The serum itself was thicker than expected and it took a fair amount of the product to cover the two areas. Also, I needed to wait a few minutes for it to fully absorb until I could properly apply my makeup. My skin definitely feels more hydrated and fresh looking and some fine lines less noticeable. I'm looking forward to continuing to use this product to see longer term results.

As far as serums go, this is one of the lightest and non greasy I have ever used. I found this didn't clog my pores yet soaked into the skin to achieve a deep hydration. I have super dry and sensitive skin that also finds that super rich or thick oils or serums a bit too much. It has a lovely light and creamy texture that glides onto the skin nice and smoothly, and you really do only need a small amount. This serum has a pleasant fragrance without being too heavy or over welming. I noticed a difference in my skin almost immediately. My skin felt hydrated all day without feeling damp or sticky. It certainly lives up to its name when it says a healthy glow. I found this product great to use alone or with the optimal hydration healthy glow daily cream. The optimal hydration 48 hour serum was a great base for my makeup also. It acted as a smoother and kept my skin from drying out underneath foundation without leaving my skin looking 'shiny'. This serums is a great alternative to super expensive serums and gels which offers just as much hydration. I also found this worked great under other moisturizers and used as a spot hydrator for dry patches on my body that needed a little extra boost.

This is such a nourishing and soothing serum. I did notice that using it teamed with the day cream as recommended, that it was heavier than I would like for day use so I used it just at night, so I could get all the same benefits as I slept. Each morning I have awoken with such smooth, highly moisturiser skin. With no added nasties, I love that it is gentle on my skin, while still provided the rich moisture and hydration that my skin regularly needs .The fragrance is light and fresh and not at all overpowering

The texture of this eye serum more closely resembles a cream than a serum. For a serum, it’s fairly heavy, though it is hydrating. It leaves a dewy finish as opposed to a matte finish. It is hypoallergenic, fragrance free, paraben free, non-comedogenic and has zero percent animal origin – so works well for sensitive skin. Given it’s texture, would suggest to use as a stand alone skin hydration product as opposed to wearing underneath a separate moisturiser. Overall a solid product, but would say it is too rich for a serum unless you have particularly dry skin.

I was looking forward to sampling this as I have sensitive and dry skin. As a regular serum user, this has a very light and non-greasy texture. However, I would have liked the serum to be a bit more moisturising. Overall, the serum was very hydrating (albeit not for 48 hours) but could have been more moisturising. There is no smell and the serum is perfume-free which would suit very sensitive skin well. For winter, I would probably recommend a more oil-based serum, but nice and light in summer.

Cetaphil optimal hydration range is my new favourite collection. I love using and trying this new range and I have using this from last couple of weeks and see live results. My skin is feeling more hydrated and looks more plump and healthy. This ceatphil optimal hydration 48 hour activation serum instantly gets absorbed into skin and keeps the moisture locked into skin for 48 hours and improve the overall quality of sensitive skin . This serum can be used as a part of your cleaning regime within the whole hydration of cetaphil. The packaging of this product is nice and sleek. It has a pump to dispense product.

I am one of the lucky review crew members who got a sample of this product. I am Asian in background and has sensitive and dry skin type, age 35-40 years. Packaging - the product comes in a standard plastic bottle with a pump mechanism nozzle. The pump is easy to use and easy to control the amount of product you need. Product - this is more like a lotion than a serum. The product is white in colour and odourless. The product is easily spread over the skin, but given the lotion consistency, i don't feel that it is absorbed as quickly as other serums. I like it that the product doesn't leave any sticky sensation on the skin after usage. Benefit - I think the serum has hydration effect and definitely adds to the face cream of the same range. It would be great for someone with sensitive skin. However, other than hydration, i did not notice any other benefits.

I’ve been using the Cetaphil® Optimal Hydration 48 Hour Activation Serum for a few weeks now along with the eye cream and face cream. It does absorbs really quickly and you only need a small amount for it to go a long way and to keep my skin hydrated. I’m not sure if I can comment on keeping my skin moisturised for 48 hours as I definitely reapply within that time period but I would say my skin doesn’t feel tight after I wash my face the following morning. I haven’t noticed any change in my skin texture and it hasn’t been visibly refined and smooth, as it claims, since I’ve used it.
