CeraVe Skin Renewing Retinol Serum

CeraVe skin renewing retinol serum is my new addition to my night routine! I have always been cautious of retinol because of how active it is as an ingredient! Given that CeraVe is developed with dermatologist, I feel reassured that they know what is best for the skin without overly loading active ingredients. I was pleasantly surprised how effective this has been as my night routine. My skin definitely feels renewed and I wake up looking more refreshed! My skin is plump and supple ! It is very noticeable!

I bought this as a backup for my usual retinol. I know there is a huge price difference but I must say it works just as well! I use it alternate nights and I still feel like it works just as good as my usual retionpl and I have repurchased this again even though it was meant to be my backup. It works well in reducing redness of my acne and scarring. It comes in a air pump bottle which is super hygienic and the fact it will maintain its potent as it is in a air pump container. CraVe has done it again. I highly recommend this product !

CeraVe's Skin Renewing Retinol Serum is a great introductory product for those new to using retinol in their skincare routine, as the formula is quite gentle. Another added benefit of the formula is that it also has hyaluronic acid and 3 essential ceramides which protects and moisturises the skin's barrier, allowing the retinol to work even further. After daily use, I did notice a huge improvement in my fine lines and skin texture (vitamin A is one of the superhero ingredients for preventative and anti-aging skincare!), and was very pleased to find I did not have any reactions, which retinol can sometimes cause. I highly recommend the Skin Renewing Retinol Serum for those wanting to up their skincare game.

I don’t use retinol usually because I sometimes can have sensitive skin reactions, but had to try this nighttime serum from my favourite brand CeraVe. I think that it is a good starter retinol for people who haven’t used one before and is very affordable compared to others on the market. The product is fragrance free, feels light and a little goes a long way! I really love the pump too as it makes it easy to measure how much you need and to disperse the product evenly. I can’t wait to see the difference that this makes on my skin long term.

I am a big retinol user and as of late have been getting into daily retinols. I have been finding that they aren’t as harsh and the skin and work towards to the same results. I was very excited to try the CeraVe Skin Renewing Retinol Serum for this very reason. I slipped it into my nigh routine and found that I made a noticeable difference to the overall look of my skin without the irritation and purge than can be caused by retinol. I really like the applicator pump bottle as it allowed for a controlled portion to come out. The texture is light and sinks in well to the skin. It’s developed by dermatologist and is scent free! The hyaluronic acid in the formulation allows for a plumper and more hydrated feel. I’d recommend this retinol to anyone who is prone to be more sensitive when it comes to retinol.

I've used a lot of different retinol products in the past, but have always found them hugely irritating. I was so happy to find this product was not only great for my sensitive skin but super hydrating - an experience I've never had with retinol products! I used this at night under my moisturiser and my skin was noticeably plumper, most likely from the ceramides. I didn't feel any tightness or tingling, and when I woke up my skin definitely looked smooth and wasn't sensitive at all. I also love that this product is an airless pump - I don't like to use products that are exposed to air because they oxidize so quickly. I'll definitely purchase this in the future.

I was lucky enough to trial this product alongside the CeraVe Vitamin C serum and night cream as part of the trial team. I have sensitive combination skin and always on the lookout for a retinol which I can use more often than once a week that doesn't cause a reaction or irritation. I found this one to be non drying, non irritating and actually effective at smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles, particularly around my eyes and lips. I saw results within 2 weeks and very happy with the results so far. Using this along side the night cream at night and the vitamin c for the morning has definitely improved my skin without reaction. Looking forward to trying more of the CeraVe range.

I love that this serum spreads so far, the packaging size will last quite a long time. It’s great value for money and really works well in helping to make you skin look plump, hydrated and more youthful. It targets fine lines and I can definitely see a reduction in mine particularly near my eyes and mouth areas. For me as a 40 year old mum I’m always on the hunt for a cost effective serum that actually delivers and this fits the build perfectly! I love that the entire range is developed with dermatologists, combining key active ingredients with CeraVe's three essential ceramides to support the skin’s moisture barrier. It means that you know you are getting top quality products when you buy CeraVe! I would recommend everyone o try this particularly those wanting to be proactive and start preventing signs of aging. Also for those who are trying to fight the lines and wrinkles that they currently have -it definitely reduces them and has me feeling more confident in my own skin.

I reviewed this Serum as a member of ReviewCrew. I really love it. It is lightweight and easily absorbed into my skin. Although I use a few products together, I find that they don't feel heavy on my skin. Would I buy it again, absolutely. I think it's at a really good price point, easy to grab at Priceline or a Pharmacy and used with the other products together I'm noticing that my skin is looking and feeling amazing. I thought that the smell was minimal which is great for people that are sensitive to smells.

I'm 39 with fair skin and my pores and skin texture is not what it used to be. I get some rougher dry skin around my mouth and my skin isn't as smooth, the pores larger. I have a cabinet of skin care and have tried a heck of a lot of brands and ingredients. I generally move towards proven well researched actives including retinol. CeraVe is generally a great brand and I'd trust putting any of their products on my skin unlike other brands that contain weird perfumes and preservatives that can irritate. So I'm very glad CeraVe brought out a product with retinol. It also contains niacinamide which is something I always use in my skin care routine as it helps unblock pores as well as the retinol. The ceramides in addition to those ingredients reality help hydrate and smooth the skin. I'm really happy with the texture of this product. I have no issues with absorption, stickiness, greasiness or pilling. If I have any of those issues with my skin care I'll generally not use them up. I'll be happy to use this product up though! The little mini pump bottle is very cute too. I like the packaging. This product layers well with the other ceraVe products as well as my other skin care. I have no problem there. This serum has helped smooth out my skin, unblock pores and congestion and help slightly with those fine lines. I find retinol doesn't make a huge difference when you first use it, it generally takes a long time to start working on those fine lines but you'll see pores reduce and smoothness increase pretty quickly. I do tend to get teething issues with retinol, because it unclogs skin, it might raise one of the black heads for example. It unclogs though and that really is the point of it including all the other benefits I've mentioned. This is a great addition to any skin care routine for ageing skin. I do find it's personally not my favourite anti ageing ingredient of all time though. I tend to go for others over this as they make more of a difference and suit my skin type more but the product itself is well made. The ingredients are tops! So if choosing a retinol you are definitely safe with ceraVe.

I have been using retinol for a number of years. This one is okay, and could be a good starting point for people with sensitive skin or new to retinol based products. It is fragrance free and not irritating to the skin. Personally, however, I didn't like the texture of the product and I will be returning to my regular retinol serum, which is a tad stronger once the bottle is one. My skin has improved while using this trial, but I attribute this to the addition of the night cream and vitamin c serum offered by CeraVe

Ive never used renewing retinol serum and was abit concerned as i wasnt sure what to expect. But after using for over a month i was really impressed about the results. Ive only started getting wrinkles in the last 2 years and like most people who start getting wrinkles i paniced and spent alot of money on creams that never worker, but this little gem within a few weeks i could see results. It helped me to start getting my confidence back again. And the pump action is perfect for the perfect amount so you dont over do it and end up with a over moisturiser face that you cant rub in cause theres too much. The ingredients are a perfect mix and doesnt have that harsh chemical smell like some renewing creams

This is an excellent first retinol serum--it was the first I could tolerate! It's important to start slow when introducing a retinol to avoid major purging, and also to protect your skin barrier as it adjusts. I first saw results within a week of using this product. It still took time, patience and a good skincare regimen to improve my skin. However, this product has worked miracles. I have struggled with acne and hyperpigmentation for years. It applies well, quick to absorb making it easy to layer additional products. No unpleasant side effects. I am so impressed.

If you're semi lazy like me and don't have an extensive skincare ritual then this product is perfect! I used to just use a washable makeup remover pad and a supermarket brand moisturiser but did not see any improvement but kept on up because it was ingrained in me as something that you 'had to do' I am so pleased I got to trial the 3 piece CeraVe skincare set and I tell you what my skin has never looked better! I'm 47 but often get mistaken for a 30ish year old which is great. But since Covid my skin hasn't been the best with lack of care on my part The CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Retinol Serum is absolutely gorgeous. No wierd smell. Love the pump and it absorbs quickly and is not oily at all. And you don't even need to use much at all so the container will last ages My 'other' moisturiser used to pill my skin shortly after application but this totally did not do that I can visibly see the redness being improved! Whilst I did have a few small breakouts as always with new products they cleared up quickly and revealed a beautifully soft even and dare I day it...glowing face! Please be aware that retinol does make your skin more susceptible to the UV rays so don't forget to add in SPF50 to your regime Go get it! 100000% totally worth it!

Ive never tried retinol serum in my life before. I've heard good things about it and decided to try it out as CeraVe is a brand that I have used before and trust. After trialling it for four weeks I found that one pump is enough for face and neck coverage, there were no adverse reactions from the serum as my skin can be very sensitive. The serum was not sticky on the face and applied well on the skin. A little also goes a long way for this product. I noted not to get sun on my face when the serum was applied, if I was going out I made sure to wear a broad rim hat which covered the face. I might need to trial a little longer to see reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. At the moment I can see minor changes but I think its a little to early to tell. For the price range of the product I think it will be a good go to compared to other retinal serum. I

I really enjoy that this comes with a pump, it makes it super easy to get the correct amount of product. Lovely to use, made my skin feel younger and firmer without being irritating, I didn’t even need to build a tolerance to it, I could use it every night straight away. Lovely light feel, very easily absorbed and pleasant feeling with no strong odour. Also didn’t feel drying or itchy. I’ve already seen a difference in my skin so I will definitely continue to use this, and will be purchasing again when I run out. Ideal for someone just starting to use retinol, would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a great product.

The CeraVe Skin Renewing Retinol Serum is a retinol serum which I was somewhat concerned about given that one's skin can be sensitized to sunlight exposure when using retinols and my rather inconsistent use of sunscreen led me to not use this consistently enough to give it a rating and a review that the product deserved. I don't think I can in all fairness give it a fair rating given the situation :( I do have confidence in this range of products as I did use the vitamin C serum and the Skin Renewing Night Cream. Hence, a 3 star rating is a minimum, I would say.

Now this I loved! As many Retinol Products i have tried over the years can irritate my skin, I'm hesitant to try new ones. I'm glad I did though because I found my skin looked smoother and clearer the next morning. It was non greasy and absorbed easily which is a massive plus! My skin is sun damaged as l spend alot of time at the beach. So l am wary with what l put on my skin and at what time. My skin tone evened out and even if I forgot to wash my face the next morning, there was no reaction to the retinal product. I am a sucker for fancy packaging, which isn't a great way to judge a product. This one genuinely surprised me!

I’ve reviewed this retinol serum from CeraVe alongside the Vitamin C serum for daytime and moisturiser with retinol for evening. Due to the actives I wore SPF everyday. I am a female in my early 40s who takes good care of her skin and I am on the fair side and mild oily skin type. I have used a lot of retinols and love the stronger ones. I always use on my neck but have just started on my chest. The texture of this serum was very nice and it is easily absorbed into the skin. The hero in the range is definitely the night moisturiser as other reviews have called out. I haven’t noticed any increase in brightness in my skin over the month of continuous usage, however it feels softer. There was no irritation but I think the strength needs to be increased for increased benefits. A great starter retinol for a novice.

I have been using this product for one month now and I have to say I have ageing skin which can look red when I use retinol, but not with this amazing serum. I like the way it feels on my skin when applied and it dries down perfectly. I can definitely see an improvement in my skin tone, It is looking plump and refreshed, it is the best my skin has looked for years. My fine lines are much less and my skin is so soft and supple with a healthy glow. I have been using it daily now and will continue using it as I love what it has done for my face and neck, thank you for letting me trial this product.
