Tingles the lips
I love a lipbalm that makes my lips tingle and this Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm does that because it has peppermint oil in the formula. There isn't any colour to this lip balm but it does add a little bit of shine to the lips which I like as I think that it makes your lips look healthy. This lip balm doesn't make my lips feel stick. They just feel nice, smooth and soft. The lipbalm helps prevent dry lips and also prevents lips from cracking so I like to apply this every few hours and especially before bed as I find I wake up to the softest lips ever. The lipbalm does have a mild scent of peppermint which I like and I couldn't detend any taste to it which was good. I highly recommend this lip balm for anyone who suffers from dry cracked lips.
Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lipbalm
This Burts’s Bees Lipbalm comes in a wind up dispenser in a yellow canister with a lid. When I took the lid off I noticed a mild peppermint smell which was really nice and not over powering at all. It comes out clear on my lips and gives them a slight tingling sensation from the peppermint which I like, it also has Vitamin E which gives added moisturising benefits which are long lasting leaving them lips feeling super hydrated. I also like that the Burts’s Bees Beeswax is 100% natural origin and is responsibly sourced. I would definitely recommend this lip balm to anyone.
Can't Go Wrong
A fantastic lip balm. You can't go wrong with Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. It is thick and luscious and does the job of protecting my lips from harsh weather. It feels great and provides a waterproof barrier to keep my lips hydrated and looking good.
I am currently in Canada and it is very very very very dry, this lip balm has saved my lips from the dry Canadian winter and I can't wait to see how it fares in Australian winter! My lips were cracking and splitting before I tried Burts Bees but now they are wonderful! Love it!
I find this lip balm to work reasonably well, I use it before bed to keep my lips hydrated though I don't have extremely dry lips and if you do I don't think this balm will be enough for you. I have the plain and tinted lip balms and I find both to work the same, the tinted is nice for a little added colour to my natural lips. Overall, a good product from the Burts Bees range and I would recommend for every day use to normal to hydrated lips.
I generally love Burt's Bees products, but I've tried several of their lip balms now and I'm just not a big fan. The packaging is cute, they are easy to use, but I don't think the actual balm performs as well as other brands in the same price point. For me it is a nice product, but not a must-have for me.
This is my all time favourite lip balm. I have dry lips and always need to wear something during the day and before I go to bed. This lip balm has just the right texture that moisturises and keeps lips feeling soft and supple for hours without being too tacky. It contains beeswax (no surprises there) and is free of parabens, phthalates, petrolatum and SLS.
They come in many scented varieties but I prefer the original which has nothing but a hint of peppermint oil.
I love these lip balms especially the one with the tint. I usually buy the mauve colour - I have pale English type skin and really like the light tint colour. It is easy to apply and lasts for ages, keeping my lips smooth and not dry. Love the cute lightweight packaging too. Great buy.
One of the few lip balms that work for my dry lips. I love lip balms that are waxy and have a bit of weight to them, which is exactly what this is like. I also love the scent of beeswax and the fresh hint of mint. I go through way too many of these!
The packaging is small, practical and the lid stays on tightly.
In a pinch this is also great as a cuticle cream or for dry patches!
This is a really great budget product that everyone needs.
I love Burts Bees products as they are natural and I seem to have perennially dry lips especially as I work in an air-conditioned office so I often re-apply multiple times during the day. The lip balm is packaged in a twist up tube, the most sanitary way to keep your lip balm. In summer the balm can get quite soft in the heat but I don't find it a problem. It is clear in colour, there is no tint in this version of the lip balm. It is very moisturising on the lips and helps to ease the tight feeling when lips are dry.
Burts Bees lip balms tend to be more expensive than other lip balms on the market but I'd rather pay more for natural ingredients especially when its on the lips as you will probably end up ingesting it anyway. The only thing I don't like about these lip balms and is probably the main reason why I don't buy them as often is that it doesn't contain SPF protection which is a big must for me.
Love Burt's Bees and love this classic lipbalm. I have used this original and the honey, vanilla, grapefruit and peppermint varieties. Told you I love them. I always carry one around with me and will often use under or over my matte lipsticks. Apart from fragrance, taste and portability the ingredients are all natural. No nasty mineral oils to ingest. That's why I love natural lip products, because they are totally okay to eat off your lips. Burt's Bees as the name suggests uses beeswax, which is less slippery than some oil based lip products, but I just love the texture and feel. Did I mention the great range of flavours? Yum and yes to Burt's Bees!
Absolutely love this lip balm. It’s very nourishing and easy to carry around with you. It’s great for cracked, chapped lips and has such a yummy honey smell to it. A great and affordable lip balm as it lasts quite a while on your lips. Definitely worth purchasing!
The best lip balm around by far. This moisturising superstar is compact and affordable and I keep one in every bag. The colours are pretty neutral, and never sticky or slimy like other brands. The scent is subtle and not overpowering. The moisturising effect last ages, and it works really well as a primer for matte lipstick.
I am a big fan of the Burt’s Bees beeswax lip balms! You always get what you would expect from a lip balm and the quality is always there. They are moisturising and feel very comfortable/lightweight on the lips. I love the faint scent they have and my lips always feel nourished!
I am a huge fan of Burt's Bees. I love this lip balm. I always have it in my handbag for when i am out and about. I swap between this and Marcalan (which is a breastfeeding cream) but Burt's Bees is a bit easier to use on the go. It fixes those winter chapped lips and the smell is heavenly! Love that minty smell. I apply it in the morning and a couple of times throughout the day and dryness is gone. I also love that it's natural so no nasty surprised or any drying agents. I am a huge fan. I would highly recommend this to anyone who suffers chapped lips. It's a lip saver.
his is a basic lip balm without any frills and it does exywhat it promises - hydrate and protect your lips.
Apart from simple yet practical packing, this chapsticks nothing short of a lifesaver for chapped lips. The texture is thick so it's idea for using under any lip colour as base layer, too. The only thing that has stopped me from giving it full five starts is the peppermint flavour. I don't like that cooling effect that you get right after applying this product. Although it goes away quickly and many people actually like that, I'm not one of them. It doesn't have any prominy fragrance but I would have liked better also without any flavour.
A classic natural lip balm that has been around for a long time and I totally understand why. It is an affordable product that moisturises the lips well and keep all the flakiness at bay. It coats the lips and keep the moisture in without making the lips feel like an oily mess. I have gone through so many tubes of Burt's Bees lip balms and especially love the mango one! If you are sensitive about scents, this is a good choice for you. The only thing I dislike is the addition of peppermint oil, its not the best for my sensitive lips but it could be a plus point for those who loves peppermint. Overall, Burt's Bees are always producing amazing lip products and I hope that they will release more in the future!
There used to be multiple brands of lip balms in my bag, dresser ,jeans pocket...all mostly forgotten about or used only when stumbled across randomly. They simply weren't the right texture, scent or had some other issue that made me forget about them after a few uses. That all changed when I purchased the Burts Bees Coconut and Pears lip balm.
I was initially attracted to this one as it was on sale at the time. The all natural ingredients were also very appealing as I love anything natural ( especially when it comes to products that are going on my lips ).
The balm comes in a standard cylinder shape in a dark yellow shade. As soon as I opened the lid I was in love! The coconut pear fragrance was simply heavenly! My 4 year old son still asks what smells so nice every single time I use this!
Not only does this smell absolutely gorgeous, it actually works! My lips feel soft and hydrated all day long without the constant need for reapplying (not that I'd mind with this one ,I'll use any excuse to smell it again ). The balm is colorless and the texture is soft and smooth, not uncomfortably waxy or oily like a lot of balms can be.
This is one balm that does not get forgotten about in the bottom of my dresser drawer. I love using this daily. The only con I can think of is you have to fight the urge to eat it ! Smells so good!
I am a hard-core Burt's Bees fan and have been for years. It is my gold standard, Holy Grail lip balm since I was 23 (which translates to 18 years of loyalty, people). Yup, I don't think it was even mainstreaming in Australia for that long. I first came across this baby when I lived in the USA and I've been picking it up on every overseas trip and chemist sale since. For me, this is the only way to pucker up.
Love this little pocket-sized hero product! Burt’s Bees is a brand that has been around for a while and with good reason – their moisturising products work really well. Their lip balm is famous for its soothing beeswax,Vitamin E and other yummy additions – this one has coconut oil and peppermint oil for a fresh taste, but I remember having another one with honey which was just as good. My lips become very dry and irritated, not only in winter but on and off all year round. The only relief from this is regular lip balm application and, as with hand creams, I make sure I have one within reach always – handbag, desk, bedside, you get the idea. Burt’s Bees lip balm is a staple – it is immediately moisturising, it forms a protective barrier so the moisture lasts, and, thank goodness, it is colourless, as I’m not at all a fan of tinted lip balms.
Pros.
Really affordable product
Slightly thicker, so stays in place longer
No nasty synthetic “chapstick” taste
Colourless, so can be worn as a perfector under lipstick
Cons.
It doesn’t slide on easily due to the hardness of the balm,so can be hard to apply
