Phoebe Burgess dishes the beauty products she can’t travel without

Plus, she reveals her BIGGEST ever beauty discovery

Beauty Crew Beauty Writer / August 23 2019

Phoebe Burgess is a total vibe. We want her chic choppy hair, her forever-glowing skin, her flawless brows, and just her whole entire wardrobe, please and thanks.

So, you can only imagine how smitten we were when we had the opportunity to catch up with her and extricate E.V.E.R.Y single beauty secret she has going on. To top it off, the writer, TV presenter and busy mum of two has just been announced as an ambassador for luxury hotel Daydream Island Resort (*drools*), so you’re going to bet she knows a thing of two about keeping yourself looking shmick after a flight.

On her favourite beauty products to travel with…

“Beauty goodies for plane travel need to be all about hydration and clean skin. It’s also the perfect chance to give yourself a little pamper sesh in the sky while you smash Maltesers and watch the entire series of Gossip Girl. I always remove everything I’ve put on my face pre-flight, using The Cleansing Pads by The Clinic. I always travel with a super hydrating mask (Estée Lauder Night Foil Mask is amazing for during the flight) and then a quick mask to whack on before you land for that impossibly fresh, I-slept-the-whole-way look is the Go-To Transformazing Mask. Post-mask I put a layer of Go-To Face Hero Oil and I take my The Moisturiser by The Clinic, as it’s light enough not to clog you up. I always pack my Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream - perfect to lather on the lips or even your cuticles if they get dry or crack during the flight.”

On her best time-saving beauty tips…

“Brows before anything else! I always feel like I can take on the day with fresh skin and a perfect brow - it shapes your face, gives it enough definition to look done enough, and takes about one minute max to whack on. Also, leaving my hair for a few days after I’ve styled it and just adding dry shampoo! Dry shampoo is my biggest time-saver and beauty friend!”

On her everyday makeup look…

“Everyday makeup is all about good skin for me, so that’s where I spend my time. In terms of products I use the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser, Bobbi Brown Brow Gel, some illuminating cream on my cheeks, a quick brush of Charlotte Tilbury Bronzer, By Terry Rose Lip Balm and a slick of Urban Decay Mascara (Perversion).”

On the products she can’t live without…

“Probably the ones I mentioned above! Mainly Bobbi Brown Brow Gel in Brunette or Blonde for a more subtle look, my Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream as it can be used on eyebrows, lips and cheekbones for some glossy dewy shine. A mini dry shampoo that fits in my baby bag or handbag, and Go-To Face Hero - perfect under makeup or moisturiser.”

On her greatest ever beauty discovery…

“Go-To Face Hero. It’s a complexion game-changer. I used to be scared of face oils and it’s now my hero products. And blueberry peels at The Clinic. They give your skin a brightening you just cannot replicate with product only.”

On the top beauty tips she’s learned over the years…

“Never tweeze your own brows, value every single hair. Focus all your time, money and energy on your skin regimen as opposed to makeup, and find products that serve more than one purpose!”

What’s your biggest beauty regret?

“Pink blush. For some reason I feel like a circus clown or as if I’m heading off to Mardi Gras if I’ve got an epic eye, a bright cheek and a lip going on. Important to choose one or two of the above for me.”
