Kendall Jenner just showed us a new way to wear eyeliner
Can confirm: It’s pretty badass
If there’s something about your eyeliner application and eye makeup in general that has you feeling like it’s in need of a boost, Kendall Jenner and her makeup artist Mary Phillips may have just solved your problem. Sauntering down the red carpet of the 2018 People’s Choice Awards, Kendall showed off a completely unique way to wear eyeliner, and it’s equal parts fun, quirky and kinda like an optical illusion.
The whole look basically features just three simple swipes of neon-green eyeliner in different places across each lid: the middle of her waterline, the inner corner of her eye and the brow bone (she even added a playful swipe on her collarbone!). And after seeing a close-up of the makeup look she shared in a recent Instagram Story, it actually seems pretty easy to copy.
Check it out here:
Celebrity makeup artist Mary Phillips (the hands behind Kendall’s eye makeup), also posted a snap of the look, captioning the pic “Think green”.
So if you’re in a bit of an eyeliner funk/need a break for the ol’ cat eye, this is *all* the inspo you need to amp-up your usual makeup look. All you’ll need is a coloured eyeliner (any shade that tickles your fancy!) and pretty much just replicate the lines on your inner corner, waterline and brow bone.
Coloured eyeliners such as Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner in in 82 Violet Femme, Maybelline New York Color Show Crayon Kohl Liner in Edgy Emerald and Kat Von D Beauty Ink Liner in Periwinkle should do the trick!
And follow Kendall’s lead with the rest of your makeup. She went for quite a pared back look, allowing her statement eye makeup to take centre stage, and finished off with a swipe of pinky-nude lipstick, highlighted cheekbones and the most perfect top knot we’ve probably ever seen.
