Pat McGrath is launching a foundation system and it’s like nothing we've seen before
Game-changer alert
Pat McGrath is nothing short of royalty in the makeup world - in fact she’s even been awarded a Member of the Order of the British Order (AKA an MBE) for her services to the fashion and beauty industry. Her impressive client list includes the likes of fashion houses Dior, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Lanvin, Prada and Givenchy and many more.
So, yeah, you could say she’s kind of a big deal.
Last year, after two long years of waiting, McGrath’s stunning makeup range FINALLY landed on Australian shores, and obviously we lost it.
And now we’ve heard she’s launching a totally game-changing new product called a foundation system. Intrigued? Us too, so we did some digging and here’s everything we know so far:
It’s called the Sublime Fetish System and is comprised of the Sublime Perfection Foundation, Sublime Perfection Primer and Sublime Perfect Setting Powder. The combination of the three products are said to help you achieve the look of McGrath’s trademark radiant skin – at home.
The method through which McGrath achieves her famous ‘lit-from-within’ skin has previously been shrouded in mystery. When questioned about it, her former assistant told The Cut “I’m sure she wouldn’t want me to share that,” revealing that it took him “two, maybe even three years to learn.”
After American Vogue’s Creative Director at Large, Grace Coddington, observed McGrath working, she theorised that McGrath prepares the skin with a silver powder telling The Cut: “It doesn’t look powdered, but it is. It has that alabaster feel about it - that sheen that’s not oily.”
Well, it turns out we don’t have to guess anymore, because McGrath has said “the real truth of what we do” will be available to everyone once her Sublime Fetish System launches.
Best of all the foundation is available in a huge 36 shades.
The system is set to drop overseas later next month with the Australian launch TBC.
Speaking of new beauty launches, Patrick Ta has just launched the most incredible new spray-on highlighter and we've got all the deets here.
Have you tried any products from Pat McGrath’s range yet? Let us know in the comments.
